When my gladiator had around 500 miles, I noticed maybe few times that it was trying to find a gear going around 10-15 mph. Took quite some time to shift. It haven’t noticed it since.

@@robmotiveplus my wife takes it as much possible. And her and I have completely opposite style of driving. Hope that doesn’t confuse the s**t out of the gladiator . 😏 heh

It’s probably the timing adjustment to prevent spark knock that everyone has been talking about. Mine has a knock every so often if the engine is lugging

Auto stop start has to be the stupidest thing I've ever experienced. Our New Rav4 has it and the new Jeep I ordered will have it. I forget to disable it, now that two of our vehicles have it I might remember.
If you buy a taser mini it will remember what setting you last had it in as well as a ton of other settings
I agree…one of the dumbest innovations in the auto world. You can add Auto Stop Eliminator (plug and play) to get rid of it👍
I would be curious to know what kind of update it was. Some PCM updates may require the module to do a reboot which means reset so is like start over and re-learn your driving habits. I would say keep driving it like you normally do and give it a week or so. If improves good, and if not take it back to the dealership and tell them you already have a Tacoma so you don't need another sluggish vehicle LOL
Oh but the Tacoma isn’t slow anymore with the Sprint Booster unit installed!! 😁
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler and I have the same problem that you had, so I went to the dealership about the secondary battery was bad they replaced it but then the next day it still won’t shut off and it says battery charging. Since it was new I’ve never experienced the on and off feature.
That’s a bummer. Ever get the check engine light?
@@robmotiveplus no but I did put a tazer when I bought 35s but still. Last week when I took the jeep to the dealership then it was working for one day and then it stopped. I don’t know whether it’s good thing or not, I just want it to work if I want it to
Sounds like you got the TCM update. I lost some MPG, sluggish and it holds 7th much more than before.
Haven't seen anything referring to it by that name? The paperwork called it a PCM update🤔
Like you following service or repair I always sense something different and mostly not in a good way. We need to get some faith in our service reps/techs. Hate to say it but to date my senses have been keen when things aren’t right. Hopefully your senses just need a little tome to adjust to the minor adjustments in your Glads PCM.

Most modern day cars have a learning computer to adjust to a drivers tendencies. After a re flash I believe this starts over. Not sure about your Gladdy, but this might be what’s going on.

You should get the auto stop eliminator. I just put one in my truck. I got tired of it being 90 out and my truck turn off at the light and the AC turn off because I forgot to push the disable button

Sluggish????? Then get the iDrive Throttle Controller that I asked you about. You should see the comments on the Gladdy forum on this product. everyone loves it. More impact in a Jeep than other products. Jeeps just have sluggish throttles.

I have about 1500 miles on my Gladiator with max tow, I have taken mine into the dealership 3 times complaining that it has a ruff idol and seems to shift very ruff when I’m under 50 mph. To me it feels like I am towing a trailer when I am not. Each time the dealership tells me it’s fine?

I had an update done in my 2012 charger once and there seemed like a slight miss in the engine. I called the dealer and the service dude told me to drive it a day or 2 that depending on the update there is some computer relearning to do. I did and it smoothed out never to return. So theres that.

Do you remember me discussing the shifting back and forth with between gears at 17-20? I had the update when I brought mine in for the steering gearbox.

For the steep price and purchase on the Gladiator, I'd ask and question on the type of PCM update or upgrade that are being installed due to the concerns you stated. This is a wonderful and very expensive vehicle that you invested in.
