    no words, AMAZING interview, performances... Gotta love, admire and respect Lindsey Buckingham not only as a legendary guitar player, composer, songwriter, singer, producer, but as an extraordinary human being. Thank you so much for this interview. I ended up in tears with Tusk, remembering the story behind it (his dad's passing). THANK YOU David Belasco and Lindsey Buckingham.

    Lindsey is uber talented. I heard most of his latest album with Christine McVie and his Out Of The Cradle album is phenominal. He resurrected Fleetwood Mac when Peter Green left and was smart about keeping it about rock-pop rather than try to continue with the blues. No guitar lessons to this day and he doesn't read music- wow. What a natural talent in the truest sense> I like the way the host asks him to play Never Goin' Back Again.

    Lindsey plays that guitar effortlessly its just so mesmerising watching him pick those strings to create such beautiful music...he is a true master of his craft!. Awsome at the end with the band coming on!!!...great to see the younger generations taking an interest in Lindsey and what he has given to this world in terms of musical creativity!!.

    I loved the relationship these two formed in this interview. Almost like, a young fan, star struck kid, nervously conversing with a rock-star veteran, as Lindsey has a little fun with his vulnerability he still manages to ask insightful questions about Lindsey's life and career and Lindsey articulates himself perfectly. Very well done interview/interviewer! A great watch! Great audience as well, very lucky!!

    This was just beautiful. I love that the appeal of FM and Lindsey crosses all generations. Like many who have posted, I was lucky enough to be there when it started. Like so many of the fans, my love of this band (and each individual member) seems to get stronger over time. How many bands can fill supersized arenas 40+ years after they first hit the scene? It's a never ending love affair. I went full circle seeing the Tusk tour (favorite album, even at that time) at the LA forum in 1980 with my best friend and 35 years later seeing them again (with the entire original band) at the LA forum in 2015 with her daughter, Rhiannon. My only wish is that the current generation would put down their phones and be 100% present in moment. None of those videos come out good anyway...

    Awesome video. Lindsey is very cool to everyone and performs excellently. Watch his color when they play a clip of Stevie Nicks circa 1978. The chemistry is palpable as he practically bursts. Fortunately for his happiness he has a lovely wife and kids now. That those songs between them are no accident is clear as Stevie 1978 speaks - ineffably beautiful, sweet, compelling Stevie - and he turns purple. Torment to an artistic soul.

    • @lisellesloan3191
      @lisellesloan3191 8 років тому +1

      +CD Hmmm. I re-watched it at the 52.00 mark, and he is laughing hard at the professor's joke, so that can certainly explain his added color (I don't see purple), and the twinkle in his eye, cause he also has an obvious bond with the professor here, and his sense of humor. I don't know if I see any current romantic torment, as he speaks earlier about how much he hates being away from his wife and kids.
      But then again, you are probably more of a close observer of the Lindsey/Stevie interplay than I have been. And also, it was probably both the first major/long-term relationship each other ever had. Plus, Lindsey said in another interview I read, that breaking up with Stevie was one of the reasons he had to leave FM: it was too hard to get closure on the end of relationship when you were working with that person everyday. Didn't he write that beautiful "Goodbye to Love" (or something like that), that he sang to Stevie in concert fairly recently (bringing her to tears)? Certainly ten-plus years after they had broken up?

    • @lisellesloan3191
      @lisellesloan3191 8 років тому

      Okay, thanks. And when was it written, if you happen to know.?..And thanks for not dangling your preposition!

    • @lisellesloan3191
      @lisellesloan3191 8 років тому +1

      Thanks. I just read that it was written around the time of the "Say You Will" Album? Or song, rather?
      I love Stevie and everything, but sometimes I wonder why she gets so much more attention than the other members--case in point, with Lindsey. Also, Christine McVie is attractive and talented. Both are one par with Stevie for songwriting and vocals, I think. Maybe they just didn't want to live in the limelight as much?

      ***** That's Now my guitar is going in the bin, I can barely chew gum and walk in a straight line never mind open E's and A strings. Plus whenever my guitar comes out my Collie hides behind the sofa, not that I do a Pete Townsend on him with the guitar, God forbid, No it's the noise that I make from it. It must be some primal sound that only Border Collie's can hear, something to do with wolves maybe. Anyway, I digress, Lindsey is my favourite guitarist but if I live to be 300 years old I will never be as good as him.

    epic interview and the songs were magical. Pure music and story for the sheer love of it. I liked Bleed to Love Her first time in the 1997 concert and it didnt occur to me at the time that the song was about the band itself. This interview discussed the songs and words exchanged about each other but this song was about things that are compelling but hard to love which are going to cause pain because of it--bleeding. You are going to bleed for whats really important and obviously FM was. You can bleed to love your job, your daughter, your car even. I almost passed up this vid, sure glad I didnt.

    Great interview and awesome guitar playing. You get to know Lindsay more than he let's on in most interviews I have seen. Tusk could have been an excellent one record LP rather than it being an ok 2 LP set. The title track is more memorable than most of the songs on the album. There must be some Rumours reject tracks on it which would still be great nonetheless. However, not like the Stones Exile followed by the great under-rated Goats Head Soup album which would have had some Exile hold over tracks- very diff comparison. Now, Mirage should have followed Rumours in that respect.

    Lindsey is one of the all-time trail blazers on acoustic guitar... I'd be honored if some Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal cover of LANDSLIDE on my channel in tribute to the masters. I based it on the Stevie/Lindsey original version, and NOT on the Dixie Chicks or any of those other covers. Real live acoustic with no pitch editing. Thanks and please pardon the promo.
