Thank you Yemisi for the recipe. I went to the butchers today, bought the female goat meat (cooked within an hour) and made the stewed goat as you prescribed with my own twist ( ginger, garlic & thyme). It was a cacophony of flavours! The aroma filled the whole house!! It was served with brown rice with veg and mixed beans on the side. The stewed meat is very versatile because you can serve it with any food (bread etc). My wife and kids loved it. 😎👍🏾😄
Amazing recipie. I am 36 years old, canadian and this just opened a totally different world of cooking for me. I got the goat meat at a local halal butcher. What a great experience! Could not have pulled it off without the video! Thanks and keep them coming!
Sisi Yemmie! I just love all of your recipes. I’m a black American girl married to a Nigerian. I tasted every soup and dish I could when I visited Naija so I could know how these dishes should taste when I’m learning to cook them. I just fell in love with goat meat. It’s the best flavor of all the meats. But sometimes I can’t stand the smell. But it’s usually after I have eaten it too many days in a row. The family learned that I loved goat meat, so every time I would visit another aunty, they had prepared some goat meat dish. They spoiled me. Lol I always come to your channel for my “how-to” when I’m trying to make a new dish for my hubby. 10/10 stars all of the time. Now... where to find goat meat 😭
The stew looks so delicious, i love goat meat stew, each time i make it i always eat white boiled rice every day till the stew finish 😃 and you are right frying the goat meat and also using the same oil that was used to fry the stew helps build up a very tasty flavour for the stew, i grill mine sometimes and i sometimes fry as well. Good job sisi yemmie my white boiled rice is ready 😉 ❤
Good morning, i subscribed to your channel last week, and i saw this Goat meat stew, it look so delicious and i said i must try it..so last saturday i tried it and also eforiro. To be honest we my husband loved the eforiro. I followed all your recipe except for the crayfish and eru cos my husband doesnt like it. The goat meat stew i prepared we just ate it this morning with rice and the comment is mind blowing. Thank you for sharing with us your recipe
Nice recipe sisiYemmie will love to try this ♥️ In my country The Gambia 🇬🇲, we cook stew different, we use more of onions than tomatoes and peppers We use like 10 full onions and just 5 tomatoes and 2 peppers with different vegetables and we don’t boil tomatoes and pepper and it’s the bomb trust me . You should try that too We call it “chuu”
I had no idea about the frying pan thing! No more frying my stew in a pot! I really feel bad for your neighbors tho! If I was your neighbor, we must be friends! Thanks mama ❤️
Thank you Yemisi for your technical videos. For anyone reading this comment, when you know you know. Sisi, you are the best. I tailored this recipe to my own and it was a hit.
I love my fried stew with Palm oil and no tomatoes. Just bell peppers, dry sunmbo, rodo, and onions with any kind of meat. But this goat meat stew is one that I will try! It looks so yummy! Please sisi Yemi when are you uploading Tiara's birthday vlog?
Saying thank you for this stew recipe is not enough, I wish you could taste it, I’m a bachelor and it’s my first time trying stew and it’s one of the best I’ve ever tasted (first try) thanks for everything you’re doing, God bless the work of your hands……Amen 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you for explaining why you use a wide pan to fry your stew. I have always wondered why I sometimes miss this and why I get it sometimes. God bless you!
I love this!! I know it’s yummy, my mouth is watering!! 🤤THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!! . I just made curry goat, and started looking for goat recipes and stumbled upon your lovely recipe!!! I appreciate you so much! You are lovely!
Thanks for sharing this delicious goat me stew. Yeah, I heard that about the difference, between the male and female goat meat when cooking. Very nice and informative video Yemisi.
You are right about the fitfam. I've lost 20kg since I decided to get my post baby weight back, alot of people ask me if I eat this or cut out that, I tell them No! I fry my meat, eat bread, enjoy my rice and love garri. I enjoy all my meals but in moderation.
Ah! Testimoni ooo. Ha... Yo tori Na correct oo. The moment I add the curry and thyme join the frying oil, all my yankee neighbors come start to dey pound my door. My house Na now New Yr happening spot. Hahaha Great simple recipe. Thanks for sharing
ahh thats why my stew was always so watery. I was using a pot where it would boil as opposed to a pan where it would fry. Thanks for this ! it was driving me insane.
I don’t mind the smell as long as the taste is super 😋 Maggots ke! Now I know. Thanks for the tips. I’m bringing my plate o 😀 the aroma has reach here 😟
I've heard someone suggest cooking the stew without covering it, like you did here. What difference does that make to the final dish? I've also heard of Boiling/steaming the ingredients before blending and cooking. Have you heard of that one? Not sure what that does for the final taste either.
Love itttt. Chaii we cannot get that goat meat with skin here. The only thing i would do differently is add the meat stock first, then, add seasonings if needed after. The stock is really nutritious. Organic bones in meat have a lot of nutrients which go into the stock so i use all the stock first then add more seasoning if needed. Plix bring us Tiaraoluwas birthday party ooo. Seen some of the party on yummy mums blog and it looks lit AF😍
This is yummy 🤤 It more of the same recipe with yours just that I grill my Goat meat and yes it still very flavorful and I don’t add white pepper. Thank you ❤️
This is exactly how I make my stew in Nigeria but I do add curry and no white pepper...and like you said.,I get my neighbour's hail me from my kitchen window and request for their portion
Sisi, male goat meat? Didnt know that. Hope i can find one in uk because these butchers here get comma lol. Ordinary goat meat with skin they will hide the skin inside, am yet to understand why. Cooking stew today, so this method is quick for me especially after returning from work tired. Thanks for sharing.
You are right About the goatmeat, he goat taste more and juicy too,the smell gives it that goaty aroma 😜🤩, the stew came out deliciously yummy, thanks for sharing gorgeous SisiYemmie.💕
