    I first encountered Fjona unexpectedly when seeking shelter from the cold (courtesy of another mod). Despite numerous playthroughs, I didn't recall the location and opted to explore when I heard the opening words.
    Tired as I was, in the middle of the night (in game and out), the effect was utterly surreal and added a level of immersion I was unprepared for.
    So, thank you for lending your voice to the character to create such a unique experience.

      I had a similar experience... I was halfway through the companions quest line, and doing a hunting job for Aela when I stumbled upon this cave. Dead wolves all around, Fjona's voice haunting in the wind... beautiful and foreboding of things to come.

      i had the same happen to me!, running away from a blizzard and desperately looking for food i stumbled upon that cave only to be surprised by her song. (difference is that it was actually my first play-through and didn't knew what to expect there

      A similar experience happened with me once, though it doesn't involve this song. I was at the northern parts of the map, also looking for shelter from the cold (thx Frostfall) and needing someplace to sleep, eat and drink (thx iNeed), then I saw, at the distance, Frostflow Lighthouse, and went there, to see if I could rest and spend the night there. It was my first time ever going to Frostflow Lighthouse, I never knew about what happened there. I immediately started investigating the situation, I was completely hooked, like I was in a horror story.
      It was so creepy and immersive, if the family was alive, they probably would have sheltered my character, I felt very bad for some time after it, it was really an experience I wasn't expecting, all because I needed shelter from the cold and the night.

    by far the most immersive moment in my game was running into fjona singing in the dark cave.

      After getting Defeated by a small army of Bears, my vampire woke up in Greywater grotto to this song. It was then, as she listened to the haunting tune she began thinking of curing her vampirism, she had hurt so many people, did...unspeakable things to others, manipulated and murdered all to feed this beast that awoke after her unfortunate encounter with Bandits. She still thinks about this during her journey, afraid that if she gives up this gift she will be powerless and hurt like before.

    Found her while running into a cave to try to not freeze to death and had an absolutely magical moment when I heard her singing. I may have actually teared up a bit….

    This song is so magical it's like a time machine, bringing me back in the 2014's. I haven't played skyrim for 2 years now, but i can still remember the first time i entered on that cave, thinking it is the same as the generic skyrim dungeons(well, techincally it is). But after i heard your voice i immediately fell in love with fjona's character. By the nine, i wish i could return to those days. Thank you Alice Bell for your amazing voice!

    I met the ghost first and knew of Fjona from him. When I couldn't find her in Jorrvaskr, I thought Fjona must've been a companion from even before Kodlak's time. And I settled for that. Until I entered that cave and heard her.
    Chills. The song and how she sang it, specifically without instruments. Hauntingly beautiful.

    I was sent to a cave to take care of a bear. When I walked in it automatically "completed" the quest. Curious I walked in and found the bear dead and no other animals. So I walked in further. Then I started to hear this damn song.
    That moment made this mod for me period. I have never, in my life, been that sucked into a single element in a game like this.

    heard this hunting sabres/wolves in a cave. Got creeped out when I heard this, right after killing some. Found a lone character at the edge of the map, dead sabres/wolves n all.
    good song.

    I know I am really late to be commenting, but I just recently encountered it and immediately fell in love with the song. It would be great if you could repost this lovely song with just your beautiful voice; the whispering and sound effects make parts of it hard to understand, and I would love to learn it.

    THIS IS THE BEST VERSION AND THE BEST MOMENT IN ALL OF SKYRIM FOR ME! All that Sovengarde and killing dragons and ancient elven valleys and vampire lord slaying could not match this one moment for immersion and feel. Thank you for your part in this!

    Every time I hear this song, it sends chills down my spine. I absolutely love it! Just curious, is this a song that actually exists in the Elder Scrolls universe somewhere or was it something you wrote? I don't recall ever hearing it anywhere else than the encounter with Fjona.

    • @alirocker08
      @alirocker08  8 років тому +7

      Thank you! But no, there was no way I could have written something like this! I believe the song was composed specifically for the mod by Giramor, who, if memory serves, voices Skjarn and wrote a number of bard songs available in the mod.

      +Alice Bell Oh okay. I was really curious about this because it reads and sounds like something straight out of Elder Scrolls lore, haha. It seems so... "official". Well, I have to say you guys did an astonishing job with this mod. I think I'm not even through the half of it in terms of quests. I've done "The Mirror" a handful of times, but for some reason, I haven't stumbled on any other "major" quests yet that I can recall. Any recommendations?

    • @alirocker08
      @alirocker08  8 років тому +2

      +IncognitoGuido what can I say, there's a lot of talent behind the mod! I'd recommend going on the 3dnpc website and check the prerequisites for the main mod questline, it was definitely a triumph! Also Anum La's quest, although o can't remember the name of it right now

    • @grundletrumpet8551

      +Alice Bell Thank you. I really wanted to find the quests by happenstance because I'd feel guilty as hell looking it up but after having this mod for a long while now and managing to miss all the quests but find tons of non-quest NPCs, I caved. At least now I know what I'm doing for the next few days :D

    I found Fjona for the first time last night. Tonight I looked to see if she could be a follower but apparently there is no update nor patch to enable her to be a follower. Her voice was amazing and would love to have that character travel along even if she did nothing but sing. Her voice acting was excellent too! Hopefully the voice actress has some songs online. I could listen to her all day long.

    I've personally found the immersive NPC's mod to be a bit uneven, I've liked some and found others irritating. If all the encounters were like this one, I'd recommend it as one of the best Skyrim mods ever.

    OK!!!!!! Imma need to adjust my top 3 skyrim song chart!
    NO.3 Murder of crows from death consumes all mod ( ua-cam.com/video/3-u7n0zdjUo/v-deo.html )
    NO.2 The Wandering bard from falskaar ( ua-cam.com/video/E15ivAD_LtQ/v-deo.html )
    NO1. THIS!
    Edit.... I just head Dusk on anvil harbour and I'm sorry to say but Murder of crows has nothing on it (still a banger though)
