The most practiced sport in the world; a bike is our first toy which makes us feel free; the most daring sport, you need to get balls to endure; you enjoy nature; it's ecological, a ride on the bike with your girl is the perfect date, and... BLOODY HELL, I LOVE THIS SPORT !!
The uci regulations, state that bikes should not be under 6.8kg, todays bikes can be well under that, meaning that the balls of steel would bring the bike to the 6.8kg limit
I was coming off of big climbing doing 45 mph in 45 speed zone and car just had to pass me. At the bottom, they were getting a speeding ticket. One of my best moments, lol.
You don’t need a lot of money to be a great cyclist. You can get really good kit for about 500. Just keep good care of your bike and ride all the time. The more you ride the better it gets!
+Microage at least for me: Going up hill... the taste of blood in your mouth and the feeling of exhaustion. Going down hill... the enjoyment of total concentration at 90+Km/h, if you hesitate then you die. On flats with mates... feeling the power of coordination making an echelon. And finally, a simple ride with your girl, it's the perfect date.
+Guoenyi You totally right my friend. Girls love fancy cars; no, I'm wrong, I should say girls love the notoriety and money around fancy cars. I've got a trick when I'm dating girls; after a couple of weeks I invite them for a bike ride (I have 4 bikes); usually all they complain for something, so at that point I only meet them to clean the pipe. Only two girls I met loved cycling, a Spanish and a Belgium; unfortunately they were Down Under for holidays as backpackers. Without a doubt, to take seriously a girl, she must love cycling. Stay classy mate.
Descents are as much work as climbing, but more dangerous. Sprint, tuck, corner, sprint, corner, sprint, tuck and you get an extra 20 bpms just out of the adrenaline.
That's why I'm proud being cyclist they say it's a poor mans game but for me its the most economical sport why...?you can save time, money and it's good for our health
+Gon Mueca I'm proud to and love the feeling and picking up what your laying down but at 300 plus starting for a wheelset and 200 for a cycling kit wtf lol
Every cyclist needs to remove the fear in their mind. Then I totally understand what I need to be a better cyclist. When I take the downhill corner, I just put my brakes though, even I know what I needed to do!
great vid, although I find no motivation in the Beloki crash at the start that pretty much ended his career, other than that this vid is awesome, decending is scary, even more so on public roads lol
I was a very fast long distance runner and now I am a very keen cyclist and I am currently injured after coming off my bike for the first time 6 weeks ago and I think about is getting back out there
+Leo Bugtai cheers mate and I am still say here on my sofa watching all the sport I could possibly ever want. Once I get back to work and with in 4 weeks I will buy a new bike that I planed to just before my injury
on my modified bike that i have made (trekking to road with not very expensive parts on it ) and with almos no wind the max that i had ever hit on flat was about 55 (55.23)km/h
I love watching Sagan descending cause I copied his style on my own descents. Lot of fun and a huge andrenalin boost riding on the frame with 70kp/h or more. :)
I also had no fear until I had an acetabular (hip socket) fracture from a fall descending at 60-70km/h. That left me 3.5 months in bed, 6 months of no riding and the uncertainty of not being able to ride or even walk normally again. After 8 months of rehab I was lucky and had a full recovery but that happens to only 15-20% of the cases. And yet it is probably I'll need a hip replacement in the future. Now I prefer to enjoy going uphill, and take it easy downhill.
I hope you're able to ride now, 7 years on. Similar thing happend to me 23 years ago- came off at 60kph+ . Hip has never been the same and only have 40% of power in that leg. Downhill flying is best left to the pros.
what is the definition of a cyclist ? I mean to say what "separates the men from the boys" ? does a guy have to be able to cycle non stop for a certain amount of distance in order to call himself a "cyclist" ? for example I go cycling regularly but I am clinically obese and 4 stones overweight and if I say to people "I am a cyclist" then they start to laugh because they expect a cyclist to be very lean and ripped physique like a marathon runner and NOT some FAT dude with a huge belly (like myself).
Thanks man. but I don't go very far. I can only cycle as far as 2 miles (and then 2 miles back home) 2 + 2 = 4 miles on total. I only just started this hobby last month (at the age of 39).
Kageyama Tobio is it so ? is that true about progressing fast ? from my understanding the younger you are the faster you progress but as you get older you don't progress so fast. maybe its because as you get older your testosterone levels decline ?
Barry Airdrie That's part true, your stamina and muscle mass increases a lot faster at a younger age because of testosterone but older people tend to get faster and fitter as they lose weight and improve their stamina. Young people WILL progress faster than adults in their 30s or 40s but that's because they don't have the same body and lifestyle as a 40 years old man.
I love how the very first clip is actually a brutal crash cut off at the last second. Really motivates me a lot right off the bat XD

Thats me on my way to shool when There are 6km left and 5 minutes for The lesson to start 😂😂
That feel when you under-steer a turn at high speed . . .
is the worst feeling ever lol
Oh look a wall, SLAM
terrible feeling
MollyTheMonk When u feel u r going too fast and its too late to brake.. and u feel if u r tilt more u will fall immediately.. its flip-o-clock..
love that feeling
Didn't know Cycling was so intense I'm watching this anime called Yowamushi Pedal and brought me here these cyclist have balls of steel....
Legendary Super Savage 9000 AF Then watch Red Bull Rampage or Red Bull Hardline , then u know what the meaning of "balls" are.
Legendary Super Savage 9000 AF same here I watched couple of ep and that pushed me to love cycling more I just bought my first rb
lmao yowamushi pedal also got me started on road biking
Yowamushi Pedal was my start too, lmao.
Cycling is not exacly like that anime carefull
I'm surprised that the balls of steel don't slow them down.
blazedxjan they don't slow them at all, they replaced balls of steel in favor of balls of carbon ;)
their huge balls of steel lets them go faster because its so large
I don't think that statement can ever be over used in videos like these. = )
The uci regulations, state that bikes should not be under 6.8kg, todays bikes can be well under that, meaning that the balls of steel would bring the bike to the 6.8kg limit
Those are not balls of steel.... indeed are balls of tungsten...
3:40 YES YES YES YES YES
That's why I love engineering and the sport! Where else you can propel yourself (not just free-fall) at 80 kph on a 5 kg machine?
+tecnocato one of the reasons for our bikes to cost as much as they are. Theres tons of engineering that went into it.
Rudolf Brož it is 6.8

Fear is what keeps you alive
Nibali ist the most skilled road cyclist out there, no question about that
Lol he got totally destroyed by Kruijswijk one day later.
I did not say that he is the strongest rider in the Giro 2016, and in fact he was already three minutes behind Kruijswijk when I posted the comment.
I would say Sagan.
Why?
firzon you mean maybe in descent right? in descent are beter Sagan then Nibali but Sagan dosnt have chance beat Nibali in TdF,Giro or Uealta :(

+lane You think that? It's the opposite for me. I fear the descends but love the ascends

great vid, although I find no motivation in the Beloki crash at the start that pretty much ended his career, other than that this vid is awesome, decending is scary, even more so on public roads lol
descending on a road bike looks scary as shit thanks to the thin tires, is it really as dangerous as it looks?
I was a very fast long distance runner and now I am a very keen cyclist and I am currently injured after coming off my bike for the first time 6 weeks ago and I think about is getting back out there
+Mark Spaul get back out there man. do it. #gotlegs?

I love how they just conveniently cut away from the videos just before a crash
+Harold P I hate seeing crashes. #myediting
I'm sitting over here mountain biking like...
Fearless... such " killing" speed...
Who watch this video in 2020?

Barry Airdrie Being overweight doesn't mean you aren't a cyclist. As long as you ride you have the right to consider yourself one!
