Really nice video! But you left out a few things: 1. Stay single, or only have relationships with other serious, dedicated riders. If you don't, your other half will never, ever, ever understand why you need to go on 3+ hour rides, or spend so much money on "bike stuff". They may say they do, or think they do, but if they are not similar, this issue will come to a head. 2. Get a job that pays okay, and has a flexible schedule. Be dedicated to that job when working. The issue of flexibility might be easier in Europe than the states, maybe. 3. Live a spartan lifestyle, don't envy others, and accept that you're not going to have things other people do, and that you're not likely to ever live a life of luxury. Your luxury is that wonder of feeling of being on your bike, and what a great luxury that is!
Thanks Phil! I thought it's probably best to leave out the hard facts of life & keep it lighthearted. No one wants to start adding up how much has been spent on bikes & parts over the years -- it's terrifying!
For extroverts specifically, sometimes having a tired mindset and not wanting to do stuff is what makes you tired, once you go out there and do something you'll be glad you did and might actually have more energy. I always have had more energy when I biked a few miles to work vs. drove. But unfortunately my bikes keep getting stolen, a total of 8 of them in my life. Sometimes I forget to lock it up but on two bikes they cut the lock so I bought a U lock and the one time I forgot to lock it up it got stolen. I usually get inexpensive used bikes for obvious reasons but still it's annoying.
I agree! I'm definitely more introverted, and at the times I have to force myself to get out on the bike I always end it feeling energised. I'm sorry to hear that. Having a U lock along with another to lock a bike up helps, but unfortunately if someone really wants to take it they will eventually. If it's a bike you really care about, or an expensive bike, I avoid leaving it out of my sight if I stop somewhere. It sucks that people steal bikes as a bike can mean a lot to a person and ruin work commutes!
i did all that this morning,., left home on my bike at 5,30am.. it was drizzling outside but I still went out.. now its after noon and im going out again
I use DaVinci Resolve to edit my videos. The easiest way to add bars is to use the 'Output Blanking' control in it. Resolve is completely free to use, with a paid upgrade version which offers more features. You can find it on Blackmagic's website: www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/
Hey, I'm not sure what you mean! Are you asking about the bike gears? If so, that's SRAM RED eTAP which is electronic & wireless! It's real nice, and very easy to fit (no gear cables poking through the frame!)
@@joe.b I cycle every day. but when I watch cycling videos my legs start hurting, so its not a joy :D probably my brain wired cycling to leg pain. good production quality though, no offense
@@kilianbader9786 haha, no worries! Yeah I get that feeling. I end up feeling a little out of breath when watching bike races! Riding a bike must give you some form of PTSD I guess...😅

Really nice video! What drone do you use?
Matthew Bridge thank you! I used a DJI Mavic Pro for the drone footage - a really awesome drone as you can fold it up & take it anywhere easily.
Love the video but... POWDERED COFFEE? AAAHRGGG NOOO
