I had the pleasure of representing the buyer who purchased this amazing yacht. I've been selling sailing yachts since 1987 and can say Rula Bula was in better than new condition.
Who ever owns this boat is a Gem of a owner and takes great pride in keeping this yacht clean. i am Looking at buying a 349 or the new 439 but this yacht is well worth the money. Nothing like a IPY and i am a Hallberg rassy lover.
looks a bit weird with that flat space in the back, could have been elevated with indoor space? And the tall tent in the middle pushing the boom up reducing the efficiency of the sail?
@@robberyrob I agree this boat bring competition to the Caliber boat for capacities which are very close:) 80 gallon back tank is HUGE and when available ocean over board dumping is ENDLES USES!
@@kmmining1359 The seller can ask whatever they want to . At 17 years it depends on how it has been refitted . Its likely a better buy than a 10 year old boat
435k is absurd for this age boat, but if you knew anything about IP boats and their little niche market, then you would understand why they are priced so high used. Think of it like an airstream rv on the water. They aren't worth the high used prices to anyone but other people looking for for the airstream.
These IP's are always overpriced when sold out of USA. I picked a perfect 20 yr old IP40 up in Thailand for 136K , sold it 2 years later for 140K... Granted this is 8 feet longer but seriously 435K for a 17 yr old boat? Having said that, I still want it :)
best boat through I've seen to date. the others think there getting paid buy how many times they say beautiful.half of the vids are of themselves and the other are inside all draws and cabinets.spoiler alert, a draw has got four sides and a handle.great presentation, good overview of boat and straight facts. i personally like to know cruise speed under moter and top boat speed under sail.
That is the PRETTIEST Island Packet I have ever seen 😍!!!
It looks just like the new ones being built in Largo, especially the heads.
My dream yacht!!!
Others may want an Amel or an Oyster, but THIS is my dream yacht!
Agreed. Oysters have gone over the deep end in terms of style over function.
Beautiful blue water cruising sailboat ⛵️! Mike from Missouri

Jeff, you're one of the good ones! Great to work with you again. Thanks for being such a standup guy, you're a real asset to your clients.
@@DavidWaltersYachts Many Thanks, it was a pleasure working with Larry & DWY.

What a spotless boat!
I.P. has always been known for making lovely, blue-water sailboats that are very safe and comfortable. Rula Bula is no exception.
Absolutely love it
Outstanding
Love Island Packets. Thanks for the walk through.
Still have it
It would be nice if UA-cam would suggest to their posters to "Pot" down the background music when behind narration.

Beautiful and well built. How much?
Just listed for $435k, visit www.davidwaltersyachts.com for more details

Beautiful...Wonder what the owner is gonna buy next ??? any hint why they are selling such a beautiful boat. ?????
always want bigger
My guess....went to a cat.
Someday... Someday. (Long sigh). Unfortunately, on an elementary teacher’s salary, probably just a dream.
Never let go of your dreams!
Svpl combien ça coûte ce voilier
i want one
What is the asking price??
435k.
Stunning vessel to be sure. But asking $485,000.00 is absolutely absurd.
435k mate but its still absurd :)

@@sarahann530 I hear you but $435K is still absurd imho.
@@kmmining1359 because you don't have 435k.

IP's are worth what the buyer in any market will pay . Its called supply and demand .
@@sarahann530 yeah i know... i've owned a forty footer :)
@@kmmining1359 A forty footer does not compare to a 485

Nice boat. Out of my price range, but if I could afford it, I'd probably love it. But if I could afford it, I'd probably be looking for a cat.
A lot of people are going to cats nowadays. Personally, I prefer to be on the lean in a mono. Nothing wrong with either, so I hope you find your cat!

Looked at a new Island Packet 25' or 26' in 1980. Fine boat but was too small. Opted for a 1938 40' Rhodes sloop.
