Just recently discovering sailing vessels - from Beneteau, Jeanneau, Amel and more, but I have to say this Island Packet is so well designed! What a wonderful use of space - beautiful and so artfully functional! And, really enjoy your tours BTW.

Nice video, thanks Ian. I realize a lot of people think Island Packets are a stodgy design, but I have always admired them. Even the traditional IP cream color Appeals to me. We have chartered an IP 37’ four times with Island Yachts down in St. Thomas and have enjoyed our trips. Nice safe, comfortable sailing motion, shallow draft, solar panels and flexible sail plans. Only thing I don’t like is the boarding platform/ladder. Your boat is a beauty. Well everything, except that ratty looking Hoyt boom.
Thanks for the review, a wide-angle lens would present a good perspective of the boat.
Monohulls and centrally located cockpits are a rather fortunate combination.

Beautiful beautiful boat. One of the nicest yachts I’ve seen. Only one issue. Thats the most poorly designed and useless cockpit.

The issue becomes why would i spend 480k US for this boat when i can buy a condomaran of the same year that offers more than twice the hull speed; has a galley and living room with a view, more outdoor living space; and doest pitch and roll as much at anchor…..

The only thing that’s a real negative that I can see is the way you have to crawl into the cockpit. Otherwise it’s a sweet boat.

It is something to note, that you do not tolerate critique at all and censor comments, and that even though most of my comments has been positive. Overall a nice boat, but priced on par with Amel 54, which it does not compare with at all. I guess, that is also, why it is still for sale, three years after this video aired! It is nice, but so old-fashion to look at. Like a time warp from the 1980s at a 2020s price, unfortunately.

If I were the seller of this awesome Island Packet, I would have made you pull this vid off of youtube. Would have requested a new one with a slower delivery, better choice of wording and clearer annunciation. Great listenings need great representation and presentation.

Because prices can change and all the info is on the yacht world listing. Nobody wants to run around and change multiple listings for a single vessel every time something changes. If you can’t be bothered to click the link provided to see the price, you don’t really need to know.
If you have to ask, you can't afford it?
Not as impressive as other boats in the same price range.
