I'm thinking about buying a E65. It's my dream car and now as an adult I'm able to get it. If I DIY a lot of the issues I know I will face, will it still cost a lot of money to maintain?
That motor does not have a conventional oil dip tube. That tube goes to the upper sump which oil sit there by check valve to combat dry starts. The car takes 8.5 quarts of oil. When you start the motor you must refer to the MMI for oil level digital reading. Hope this helps.
Hi, kind of a late comment reply here. Hope the car’s treating you well. I recommend 5W-40 in these cars. Liqui Moly is best. I think 5W-30 is too thin, especially with their tendency to burn oil. I have 200k miles on my 04 745i, and have been using Liqui Moly 5W-40 for a long time. Valve stem seals are original and happy in my car :)

Do not use 0W-40 oil on these. Use 5W-40. These motors like to burn oil, and 0W-40 is too thin for it, especially if you live in a hot climate.
Informative, unintentionally funny. "always wear gloves guys, we don't, dontt ask why,, we cheap" lmao
Rofl 👍 Thank You for.pointing that phrase out, made my day.
Excellent and informative video! I might do my next oil change myself now. Thanks
What if I put some ring seal smoke repair oil on the wrong place like I think I put it on the break.
i think you have italian accent, if i am wrong sorry, but what a great accent.. makes the video great
Thank you for the video very straight forward and easy to do !
What socket size is used to unscrew the filter and screw for oil release ?
All that oil no gloves....straight up gangster !!
Your hands will be able to resist heat just like my mechanic. Their hands will look larger and rougher.
Thank you for all your video's.

So what if the computer is wrong??
This helped I kept hearing him say seven and I. Pretty sure it takes 8.5
thanks gonna change mine tomorrow... great video
Is it v12? Or v8 and would 5w-30 work for the v8 4.4
I suppose it's exactly the same on a 760Li (N73) ?
Yes. 8.5L Oil
Does you add engine fuel infection after a oil change?
I suggest to put heavier oil weight to reduce the smoke problem
wont work i put 20/50 oil and didnt help smoke i was tryn to pass smog it smoked only when smog tech hit the gas all way down WOT.
I'm sure your checking the transmission oil red for trans yellow for oil
You did this in 10 minutes. A friend of mine was charged $140.00 for this at a shop!!
That's a normal price. Much oil, the filter costs 15€, and worktime🙋🏻♂️
Great video

Best car guy
My 750li takes 8 qts. Better to use Castrol Synthetic.
Why Castrol?
Wait until you are 40years old, those no glove days will haunt you young man
Dude The truth
v8 4.4L
take 8 full quarts
There is litterally a drain plug on the oil filter lmao
Castrol ll01 runs best on this car.
What do you do with the brass ring? I watched this goofy shit for that answer and I’ll be damned if he doesn’t cover it. SMFH!
kermit the frog here!
735i
I put 2 gallons on my
Really? I'm planning to buy 1 soon
This car shouldnt exist
Never change oil on this car, you will end up with smoke
You will wind up with smoke ONLY IF YOU DON'T CHANGE THE OIL on time with Mobile 1!
@@andrewrobert98 Use 20/50 heavy duty diesel truck oil
