    I can’t do 1 business day shipping. It just too much for me at the moment. I have my inventory in a storage unit and it’s not worth driving back and forth all the time. I’m usually good with my shipping (around a day or two). I’m part time but I sure do enjoy this!

      I do 2 business days not because I can't do 1 business day or same day, but rather I've noticed my buyers in my category tend to add to their purchase later and ask for a postage refund on the second purchase so it can be combined. So I leave the door open for that :)

    I’ve only ever been a casual seller on EBay and haven’t listed for a few years after a bad experience. I’m still super nervous over the whole postage like a lot of others but I’m keen to get restarted. I’m not sure if I should have an eBay store or not. Are you able perhaps to do a video on whether it’s better to have a store or not please? I’m sure there would be many interested in this too. I loved your step by step guide in this video, thanks.

    I have epilepsy. My major type of seizure is controlled by medication. I do have small seizures where I am not able to read, write, or speak for a few minutes. These can happen a few times a day and other days none. Because of this I cannot work outside of the home and there is not a lot I can do. I have been searching for ways to make money and eBay is one of the best things for me. I have made over $600 in 3 weeks so far selling things I have around my house. I am almost out of items so will start now thrifting (cold here so no yard sales until spring).

    1. Goal Setting
    2. The Setup (i.e. a spot at home you set up for your eBay items and activities - ideally a listing station, and a shipping station)
    3. Find your first $10, or $500 (every seller has a default limit of 10 items in the first few months)
    *[Additional note between steps 3 and 4 - be aware of the Danger zone, which is the danger zone of where people give up and say eBay doesn't work. Need to work yourself through this zone.]
    4. Worry less about sales when you first start, and focus more on getting to 200 listings instead (potentially uploading 5 a day, or bulk upload 30 on a day on the weekend - depending on what suits you)
    5. Rocket and rank - around the 3 to 6 month mark. There's a few tips you can implement to 'cash in' on all the listings you've made, by ensuring you're ranking, and you can close/convert on your listings. There's several tips mentioned in the video at around the 6:50 mark
    6. Repeat daily - can take 18 months to become a full time seller. The higher your goals and expectations with eBay, the more consistent you have to be daily with your processes to get the algorithm on your side, and to ultimately sell and make money.
    Summary - there's a nice flow chart at 10:30 of the video that shows all the steps

    Awesome your last video in particular the first 3 months limit of 10 listing/$500. I'm moving to Perth frrom NZ so I can start my ebay business. I've followed you along with other aussie ebay sellers and it's the first time I'd heard about the first 3 month limits. Doesn't put me off though but will have to make some adjustments to what I planned to sell once I arrived and set up. Cheers Shane (I do have family in Perth the reason why we're moving there and am retired)

    Started part time 6 months ago, keeping cost of goods as low as possible that way I don't have a lot of money that I could lose due to scams, and postage mistakes. Strategy is working for me, as my confidence and sourcing experience grows I will pull the trigger for higher priced goods seeking more per item profit. It's a learning experience.

    • @TheAussieFlipper
      @TheAussieFlipper  Рік тому

      It's a learning experience for sure Roy and I did the low cost purchasing for a while when I first started. I almost never do that now.. it's all based on quality and sell through (providing the profit is also there at the increase purchase price). Hard to pull that trigger as you say when you're just starting out but I can assure you you'll see bigger profits when you build up that confidence. Nice to hear from you - happy selling.

    Great video mate . New eBay reseller here mate. The thing is that I don’t have much money so to get 200 listings - I need 200 products , which obviously takes money .
    Secondly space - 200 items are alot . I mean I’ll have to have space to keep that item
    Is there a slower way for me to gradually build my listing ? Or could I list say 10 items wait for them to sell and then list another 10 ?
    Will that work ? Or do I need to keep sourcing and listing ?

    Hi Matt, you said as soon as you see someone watching your item to send them an offer. How do you do that?

    • @johndough23
      @johndough23 Рік тому +1

      via "send offer"..technically you cannot do anything until eBay says you can send watchers an offer on a specific item…however when doing so you can decide in send the same offer to future watchers. These folks will get the same offer automatically. Like most things, this is a great strategy for items which have been sitting. If it's on a hot item, it's shooting yourself in the foot. Hot items will sell at full price eventually if said price is competitive. No reason to be giving away money.
      eBay over does everything, so always be wary of these sorts of "tricks".
      Free Shipping is another...why give away shipping when there is not the data to support this matters? Serious, do any sort of sales comp using solds and I doubt you find any difference in STR rates for those offering free shipping. Reason is there is no FREE. The cost simply transfers to the asking price and evens the entire FS null. Offering FS only increases your returns. You want the buyer to have skin in the delivery end of the sale, always.

      true. However just like Google searches where people rarely go to page 2, if you build up your business to make regular sales, your negative feedback will drop to page 2 very quickly and most buyers won't care about it. Something that has always stuck with me is that you wouldn't trust Apple if they had 100% feedback on all their iPhones. Some margin for error makes for a believable vendor. So if you're on 99.4% I wouldn't lose sleep or make up correlation between that and your sales performance :)
