  • Big, Bad, Bronco under $5,000! Trucks! finds a rusty 1979 Bronco for a low buck buildup to tackle tough trails. Ford's big block Bronco may be one of the toughest 4x4s Detroit ever built, but rebuilding one doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg.

Only differance ;is here in Az you wouldn`t have to replace the floors. no big deal.

    It's funny when I watch stuff like this and they say "rebuild" rather than replace like when Kevin was talking about the steering and suspension. Today's "mechanics" are nothing more than glorified parts changers. True mechanics can take something old and broken and rebuild and overhaul it to be useful again like the rear brake cylinders. Mechanics didn't replace them with new ones, they rebuilt them and continued using the original cylinders. 🤦🏻🤷🏻 LOL the steering and suspension on this bronco was REPLACED. Not rebuilt. Also there was nothing wrong with the original rims. They could've cleaned them up, painted them black, and installed 37's on them and had exactly the same as what they put on it but CHEAPER!

    • @mikehagen2498
      @mikehagen2498 Рік тому +2

      You do realize most of the replacement parts offered come with a warranty. If I rebuild a wheel cylinder and it fails the repair is on me. If I replace it and it fails the replacement is on the supplier. Most technicians are liable for come backs. I will not rebuild a part of a replacement is readily available.

    • @kbakeritsallaboutnobody.5761
      @kbakeritsallaboutnobody.5761 Рік тому +1

      @@mikehagen2498 I realize all of the reasons why REPLACING parts can have an advantage over rebuilding them. Especially in a mechanic shop. This video is explained and described by Kevin to show us DIYer's "how to rebuild this bronco on a budget". Not how we need to order new parts with warranties to run a successful shop. My point is he should have said replace rather than rebuild because when it comes to the steering, suspension, and brakes they only REUSED or REPLACED but none of it was rebuilt.
