I dont think it's fair to overly criticise IEMs in this price range, especially considering how well they perform. I think the JD1 is a pretty good and fun sounding performer, but if it's detail and accuracy you're looking for, the Tangzu Wan'er is the way to go. It's certainly not as enthusiastic in the lower frequency range, but it's terrifically detailed.

I haven't tested the Chu2 so can't really comment on it. I did quite like the EW100, I tested the USB C variant, but this does have more presence in the bass making it a lot more fun to listen to.
I'd pick the oppo for its sound. It's crisper in its detail. The OP is more about loudness and bass, which isn't my cup of tea. Feel free to watch my comparison between these two and the realme buds air 5 pro.
I like having an external DAC for the simple reason that I can connect the 3.5mm to it or different dacs, desktop, or portable, and the tone of IEMs can change with each shift. The only issue here is that having multiple options like this isn't exactly the most affordable thing. The type C variant they've made is quite an interesting one because it allows you to toggle between 5 different tunings, essentialy letting you do what I just mentioned, only in a more affordable way. No doubt, you can use an EQ to modify and tweak tunings, but considering the manufacturer has done it, it won't have distortion etc. So, depending on what your taste is and your budget, you can go for either one of them.
My phone has basic headphone jack and micro usb c connector ( not type c) so if i buy this product in type c version how to connect these to my phone ??
Hii Paul. I am a little bit confused about my next IEM purchase, could you please help? Should I get the moondrop chu 2 dsp or get a audiocular D07 dac with moondrop chu 2 3.5 ???? The audiocular D07 is completely similar to the ddhifi x HPZ dac.
Have a look and see if the audiocular has an Amp chip. It may only have a dac chip. Having good amping will open up IEMs better. Also, you might be better off spending on more resolving and transparent IEMs before you spend on a dac amp dongle. Look for something in a higher price segment before spending on a dac amp. Those IEMs will benefit more with one.
@@PaulsPOVThank you so much. t The audiocular D07 has both the chips same as the ddhifi dac. But according to your advice i think I should better be going with moondrop chu 2 dsp. Thanks again😊

I have reviewed the Blon BL03 in the past. Feel free to watch my review if you haven't already. I remember it being warm sounding, which is why a lot of people might like it, but I did hear of some people having cable issues with it. Practically all IEMs in this segment are great, you'll just have to choose the "flavour" you like. One of my favorites is the KZ ZSN ProX. I'd recommend IEMs over the JBL wired ones for certain, especially if you prefer detail and nuance in your audio. These JD1 I'd say are a very good buy for the price. The USB variant might not be in stock right now though. If you want that one, it's worthwhile connecting with the guys at headphonezone to find out when it'll be available.
Bro which iems are better for Indian songs and not a fan of heavy bass I love to listen vocals and clear instruments separation can you suggest me iems under 2k
These FiiO JD1 IEMs would be a good option. If you don't like too much sparkle in the highs, I like the Tangzu Wan'er. If you want even warmer sound, the Blon BL03 is a great set to listen to, but one of my absolute favorites for sound in this price segment has always been the KZ ZSN ProX.
The most neutral sounding IEMs I've heard might be the Simgot EW200 but that around 3-4k. Most IEMs I've heard in the 2k range tend to have tweaks in the highs and lows.
recently i decide to buy the "Headphone Zone X ddHiFi - Hi-Res DAC" along with a iem under 2k , so should i ditch those two and go for this iem instead , i'll be saving 2k ?
Go for the USB C variant if you're just getting into the hobby. The 3.5mm variant is fine if you intend on getting separate DAC Amps in the future. This type C variant gives you different tunings you can toggle through which is a nice option to have.
@@PaulsPOVthanks for the reply. I already got them changed 4 years ago. Some short-lived Indian IEM company called signature acoustics, who were known for their wooden earbuds. found the wires in their accessories section by accident while trawling through this site. @@PaulsPOV recently bought a phone whose sound output is disappointing to say the least. I saw your review of the new hpz dac. Thought maybe it's time to try something else. My listening habits are pretty all over the place like devin townsend's discography. I'm Not really a basshead but Soundstage and instruments separation is important to me. I've heard the Pro2 very briefly at a Headphone Connect event, so it didn't leave me as impressed as I was with the ZSN ProX and these JD1's. The Pro2 didn't seem as enthusiastic in the lower frequencies.
I haven't tested the type C variants, but the FiiO does have 5 different tunings you can toggle between, which I find quite a cool feature to have on IEMs.
After reviewing this product, do you still belive ProX is the best under 2.5k? Or wat do u think is the best. Looking for loudness, detail, bass and subbass response.
The ZSN ProX is one set that really made me enjoy music, this didn't instill that feeling when I was going through my usual tunes, possibly because it's a little too bright at certain peaks in the highs. But, this does do bass and sun lows well, provided the recording you're listening to is mixed well for those frequencies.
Most of the IEMs I've tested are in the 2K price range and my favorite there is the KZ ZSN ProX. A little more than 3k, around 4k I quite like the Simgot EW200. I'm still expanding into more IEM reviews so will try and cover ways in the 3k range as well.

I heard the PRO2 briefly at a Headphone Connect event and it didn't wow me as much as the ProX did, possibly because of the noise floor in the room. But the JD1 certainly has more presence in the lower frequencies and might just be a little bit sharper for details. I haven't don't any A-B testing with these yet so it might be worthwhile connecting with the guys at headphonezone to know for certain.
I don't remember the waner being this pronounced in the lower frequencies, so the JD1 can be a little more fun sounding since it has that added bass element.
This is a great set to start with. The KZ ZSN ProX is one of my favorites, and if you prefer detail over heavier bass, the TangzuWan'er is another great set. If you have the budget for the Simgot EW200, it's a very nice set, too. Feel free to give my reviews a look for these IEMs. Each of them have their own "flavours" in sound.
Both are great options! The JD1 has a better build and a better sounding microphone, so try it out. Soundwise, the KZ isn't as pronounced in the highs, somif you want softer highs, go for that. Crisper highs and big bass, you'll get from the JD1.

( JD1 with DDHIFI Dac or JD1 type c ) witch one you prefer the most ?
I am using Oppo phone.
Just buy the 3.5mm version?
Is this compatible with iphone 15 ( for gaming and music)
If you have a dongle DAC to connect to, the 3.5mm version will work with that. Otherwise, it does have a USB C variant you can opt for instead.
@@PaulsPOVThank you so much. t
The audiocular D07 has both the chips same as the ddhifi dac. But according to your advice i think I should better be going with moondrop chu 2 dsp. Thanks again😊
@@abhishekmali3968 have u bought them?
Im still seeing crazy write ups for Blon blo3.. Is it really worth the hype compared to these new Iem’s If so Which is good for Watching Movies and series will you recommend?!?!?!
Feel free to check out my audiophile playlist for the other IEM reviews.
Sir i was planning to buy the new jbl 310c wired earphones with in built dac...it also costs 1500. So should i buy any IEMs under 2k or take these New jbl ones....if i should go with IEMs then please suggest me a good one under 2k sir. IEMs will be my first time and i have only used oppo enco air 3 pro till now.
@@PaulsPOV ok sir thank you I will definitely consider JD1 over JBL t310c
Bro which iems are better for Indian songs and not a fan of heavy bass I love to listen vocals and clear instruments separation can you suggest me iems under 2k
These FiiO JD1 IEMs would be a good option. If you don't like too much sparkle in the highs, I like the Tangzu Wan'er. If you want even warmer sound, the Blon BL03 is a great set to listen to, but one of my absolute favorites for sound in this price segment has always been the KZ ZSN ProX.
can you please review the newly launched realme buds air 6?
Does they sound better than KZ EDX
Bro can you recommend very Neutral audio iem under 2k?
The most neutral sounding IEMs I've heard might be the Simgot EW200 but that around 3-4k. Most IEMs I've heard in the 2k range tend to have tweaks in the highs and lows.
bro i listened melodies and love songs so which is best iems under 2.5k pls reply love y videos
I really like these, the Tangzu Wan'er and the KZ ZSN ProX. Feel free to watch my reviews on them to see which one will suit your taste in music.
Can u recommended me IEM using with DAC .
I purchased the type c which is not working well with ipad air, though the headphone working fine with s24 ultra
I am also planning to buy type c variant
can they work with my ipad air m1?

Hey, if am getting OnePlus Buds 3 and OnePlus buds 2 pro at the same prices, which one should i buy?
Buds 2 Pro
recently i decide to buy the "Headphone Zone X ddHiFi - Hi-Res DAC" along with a iem under 2k , so should i ditch those two and go for this iem instead , i'll be saving 2k ?
DAC is always better
And get the Audiocular D07 at ₹1k
It has the same DAC and Amp chip as the HZ X DDHifi one
@@dvdarshan but now I have decided to go with more expensive dac , "ifi go link" would that be fine ?
@@dvdarshanbro can u suggest me a dac under 1k? Best for music
I have a 3.5mm jack in my phone... Should I go for the 3.5mm variant or type c ? I'm a beginner. Please reply
Go for the USB C variant if you're just getting into the hobby. The 3.5mm variant is fine if you intend on getting separate DAC Amps in the future. This type C variant gives you different tunings you can toggle through which is a nice option to have.
@@PaulsPOV Even if he's going for separate DAC amps in future, Type C looks value for money here as it only costs extra 200.
Yea, but I find that option of having multiple tunings also really cool! For only 200 more, it's pretty awesome.
How do these compare to Blon bl03? Audio quality wise & also build quality.
I'd say the Blon is much warmer sounding than these. Build wise, these are put together really well, I've heard the Blon does have cable issues.
@@PaulsPOVthanks for the reply. I already got them changed 4 years ago. Some short-lived Indian IEM company called signature acoustics, who were known for their wooden earbuds. found the wires in their accessories section by accident while trawling through this site. Seemed to fit & were cheaper at 700 bucks for sturdy wires + mic. Still going strong.
As long as it sounds fun and can handle various different types of instruments & genres I'm good.
If you have the budget for the iFi Go Link, I'd recommend that. Subtle differences between it and the ddHiFi, but I do prefer it.
This or the Moondrop Chu 2 dsp?
moondrop chu 2 iem se acha hai??
I've been using a CCA C10 and KZ ZSN Pro X previously. Will it match my taste?
This might seem a little on the brighter side compared to the KZ. The ProX is still one of my favorites in this price segment.
Thanks for the reply and the great video.
How does it compare with KZ ZSN Pro 2?
I've heard the Pro2 very briefly at a Headphone Connect event, so it didn't leave me as impressed as I was with the ZSN ProX and these JD1's. The Pro2 didn't seem as enthusiastic in the lower frequencies.
fiio jd 1 type c vs 7hz salnotes zero type c which is better
pls reply sir♥️
I haven't tested the type C variants, but the FiiO does have 5 different tunings you can toggle between, which I find quite a cool feature to have on IEMs.
Hi Need review of Soundcore space one!
How is it compared to KZ Zsn Pro X ? planning to get one .
I still prefer the ZSN ProX.
@@PaulsPOV bought zsn pro x 2 ....came today only ...thanks
how does it compare with moondrop chu 2? I usually like a lot of details and bright music and decent bass
Chu 2 and 7Hz Salnotes Zero are more detailed
This has more bass than them
Can u suggest me an iem for watching movies and listening musics with type c under 2k₹
Am quite confused😹🥲
Try this set with type C. It has 5 tunings you can cycle through if you want to which is quite cool.
Hllo sir i want a iem under 2k to 2.5k which has noise cancellation plzzzz suggest
there no such thing exist in world sorry bro
Hey paul, FiiO JD1 or KZ ZSN ProX ?
I still have a soft spot for the ProX. It wasn't as bright as the JD1, too, so I'd still go for that.
All IEM earphones are getting ear pain after 5 minutes using 😢
Which is Best iem for gaming pubg?
Under 2000?
Hey i like bass....can i know iem which gives good bass and under 2000
These JD1 IEMs are really good performers in the bass.
You can also consider kz castor bass version
After reviewing this product, do you still belive ProX is the best under 2.5k? Or wat do u think is the best. Looking for loudness, detail, bass and subbass response.
The ZSN ProX is one set that really made me enjoy music, this didn't instill that feeling when I was going through my usual tunes, possibly because it's a little too bright at certain peaks in the highs. But, this does do bass and sun lows well, provided the recording you're listening to is mixed well for those frequencies.
Can u pls try final vr 500
Hi
Can you please recommend any iem under 3k.
Most of the IEMs I've tested are in the 2K price range and my favorite there is the KZ ZSN ProX. A little more than 3k, around 4k I quite like the Simgot EW200. I'm still expanding into more IEM reviews so will try and cover ways in the 3k range as well.
Bhai hindi gaane sunne k liye aache hai kya?? Like songs of arijit singh kk roop rathod and all old songs
These have good bass response in general. Should be fun to listen to with anything that has been mixed to have prominent bass.
Sir which is the best iem between 3000rs to 3500rs for balance sound and clarity?
I haven't tested many IEMs in this range, but if you can stretch a bit more, the Simgot EW200 is one of my favorites.
Ok sir i will go for simgot ew 200
Let me know how they treat you. 😊

I made mistake buying typ c jd1, go with dac and 3.5mm
Why?
Cca Polaris review
FiiO JD1 OR KZ ZSN PRO 2(new launch)
I heard the PRO2 briefly at a Headphone Connect event and it didn't wow me as much as the ProX did, possibly because of the noise floor in the room. But the JD1 certainly has more presence in the lower frequencies and might just be a little bit sharper for details. I haven't don't any A-B testing with these yet so it might be worthwhile connecting with the guys at headphonezone to know for certain.
@@PaulsPOV please do a video for the pro2
44.1 khz is the lossless compression
This vs warner vs saltones zero please help
I prefer this to the Salnotes Zero.
@@PaulsPOV is it better than warner
Specially i am confused between jd1 and warner sg
I don't remember the waner being this pronounced in the lower frequencies, so the JD1 can be a little more fun sounding since it has that added bass element.

Best IEM for the beginners in budget?
