One thing Africans must understand is that Student-Based Immigration is a revenue-generating collaboration between the Govt and the Universities. Home students enrolments are fast decreasing as demand for university degrees is dwindling. International Student Immigration is a cash cow for these dying schools. In the grand scheme of things, this is another form of wealth transfer from Africa to the West. Just imagine how much money African students and their families are pumping into the Western economies for visas that don't guarantee stay beyond the degree program's duration. It's called a full stop in British English (which the majority of the Countries in Africa speak - from colonisation). A period is used mostly in American English, which most likely Canadians use. It's quite common for Americans and I guess for Canadians too based on what you've said, to laugh at someone who uses British English words. You KNOW the English language - it's only that you were taught a different version (which is the original one of course LOL)

Half of me is regretting this move, the other half is just trying to be optimistic. I wish you all the best in your decision sha.

Sad that our people don’t want to wake up.
