    Nick was on a Podcast called The ICEMEN. He talked about the deadstick setup for probably 10 minutes. It was some really good information!!

    The Linder family is just genetically wired to be great educators. Great video Nick - appreciate the effort it takes to setup the shots. The LS screen overlay is so cool. In a UA-cam-verse of dudes just turning on a couple go pros and blabbing for 20 minutes, your vids always stand out.

    Great video nick. Using the auger as a tip down is a great idea outside like that! Also good idea turning your camera to save time. You're the kicking butt buddy. Congrats on the new house this year, and happy holiday season.

    Used your dead stick setup at Lake of the Prairie today. Caught more on that setup than I did jigging. Two days ago that was reversed. Thanks for the tip small treble and minnow was money!

    Have you been rocking the drop shot rig a lot this winter? I use it all the time in the summer but not as often in the winter with flashers. What do you like about it? Just an easy dead stick setup?

    Look forward to the dead stick video. Have tried drop shot rig and don’t seem to have the hook tied correctly. Terrible hook sets with how I have it now.

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner  6 місяців тому

      It’s important to do the knot correctly and run the line back through the eye of the hook so the hook points upwards.

    Hi Nick, nice video. In your opinion where are those walleyes during the day? Are they just laying in the bottom somewhere not moving, or eating and they get active during those prime time hours? I fish Minnetonka and it has similar bite window, I have been trying to find how to catch throughout the day. Just got a livescope so that might help unlock the mystery.

    • @ripptydevibes2581
      @ripptydevibes2581 6 місяців тому +1

      In the north east our walleyes leave the structure to suspend during the day. You can find them and try feeding them anything but they just become zombies.

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner  6 місяців тому

      Tough to say! I know during the summer, when they aren't biting, they usually aren't far away. Traveling slower, not approaching your bait as often. Could be out in the abyss, but also might just be keeping low and slow in regular areas.

    If you wouldnt have your computer screen, you'd enjoy the view a lot more. Watching a radar fish go for your radar bait aint real fishing.

    • @Basspundit
      @Basspundit 6 місяців тому +1

      HUh? So watching a bobber dance around in your hole ain't real fishing either. It is essentially the same thing with just an extra layer of technology involved. When you are intently watching your bobber for movement or paying attention to your line for a tap-tap you cannot simultaneously have your attention focused on the beauty of your surroundings. Switching between the two areas of focus is easy if you have a mind to do it. However, if you are locked in on one or the other you will likely miss something about where their focus isn't being fully applied.

    • @rumcoke9123
      @rumcoke9123 6 місяців тому +1

      its not the same thing at all. With a bobber you have to try and figure out where the fish is. With livescope you are simply putting the bait right in front of of the fish and you KNOW he is there. Takes any guesswork and mystery out completely. Its really sad actually as overfishing will kill fishing for your children. It would be like hunting with a drone.
