- Want to catch more walleye next time you go ice fishing? I'd highly recommend trying out tip-up fishing for Walleye. Such a great way to spread out and cover water. Hope you enjoy this fun adventure with Brandon on Lake of the Woods!

Thanks so much!!
Jay Siemens is hands down the best when it comes to production quality
The unquestionable goat, sorry uncut & Clayton.
@@avail657 well I mean, jay does film a lot for uncut.
Uncut is the best!!
I use the Alberto knot braid 10lb to 8-10lb Fluro and the red clip slides over the knot without a problem
I started setting my minnows way higher off bottom, and used smaller minnows with my tip ups, just the other day caught a 28.5 inch walleye and like eight between 18-22 inches. Only kept the big one because it swallowed the hook.
I remember when Jay had less than 10,000 subs. He's still the cool down to earth dude. thanks for the years of great content from uncut, to 39 hours to your own channel!
Thanks for following along since the start!!!
Great video! Your light years ahead of my fishing channel! I got skunked perch fishing this morning.
Haha I have a lot of those days! Keep grinding!
@@JaySiemens you got it! Grind on and on keep up the good vids
Good call with putting the rods away last! Keep up the ice fishing content
Thanks Matt!
Another great video Jay!! I watch all the time but don't comment so today is the day. I truly enjoy tuning in to watch all your videos, thank you for your time and letting us all come along to enjoy the experience!
Thanks for watching!! And commenting!!!
Shoutout to lakeside dental…I’m crying😂
As always amazing educational value and the feeling of escaping. Keep the content coming Jay!
Thanks! Will do!
Loving these informative . Videos! My first year fishing and you have taught me a ton!!!!
Thats great to hear! Glad I could help!
Day two looked like a lot of fun boy's!!
i've never been here this early ! let's gooo
YESSSSSSS
Laying in my wheel house watching bobbers and tip ups while watching this awesome video
Nice!
@@JaySiemens yes sir!! Having my son with makes it that much better. Keep up the awesome content man!
YES A VIDEO
Yesssssss
Love the walleye videos!
Good video man
Would you recommend using a treble, on a tip up, for others species like Lakers and even whitefish?
Yup!
@@JaySiemens thanks, I’ll be re-tying shortly.
What size reels are the ones you use. And what brand and model are they. Thanks!!
Yes sirrr
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi this is Micky with Bonfire Nation. I have recently had the opportunity to get involved with Roku television. I love your video presentation, and was wondering if you may be interested in posting some material on the Roku channel. It might be worth the conversation. If you are interested let me know by looking up my UA-cam channel.
When he said "if you are fishing with kids with short attention spans" who thought of Aaron Wiebe?
Hahahaha
Jay: shaking bells
Me: constantly looking at my jaw jacker outside
haha sorry!
I wish I had all the money for all the cameras you have set up on each IFishPro lol I would need even more though because we can use 3 lines a piece here!
Awesome!
That is awesome every one shared the rods. Down south one guy would have taking them all.
I was impressed!
Good people everywhere bud.
Unfortunately very true... I saw that the poor kid that lost his life on quinte the other week, they’d put out a memorial and someone stole the rod and reel from it...😡
"we worked hard for that one, we sat around!!"
What a blast to watch! Congratulations to those who received rods!
Thanks for watching!
15:23 why I wouldn't own one of these.. classic tip up of a Jaw jacket woulda been fine eh
Try albright knot. I found them to be stronger than double.uni and smaller profile.
Will give it a shot! Thanks!
Crazy how much light was in the video when you said the sun was down. High quality gear. Question : Why you make the editor drive out separate? He smell?
Because then he can go straight home after the days work
How to catch more walleye
"Fish more"
True though
Not wrong haha
I’m literally on Lake of The woods right now!!! This is what i needed 🙈🙉
Lol i was 5 hours ago
so im not the only one with 5,000,000 Mc"Dick's coffee stickers on my phone. Kinda comforting knowing some one else shares my slippery sticker glory.
How would you rig that up with a frozen minnow? Would worms work? Live in Alberta, and can’t use live minnows😩
Seriously, thanks for all the vids. I think it's the only thing keeping me sane at the moment. Well that, and fine tuning my fishing gear for when I can finally get out.
😂😂😂
Do you mean that you are allowed two lines in addition to your regular tip-ups? For example, here in PA we are allowed 4 tip-ups and a jigging rod for 5 total.
If you ever come to dryden, would love to hear from ya😃
That sauger was a saugeye Brandon was holding, can identify them by the bars over the spots in the dorsal
Great video as always! You should do a raffle of some sort winner get to come ice fishing with you! I'd make the drive from western New York
I'd make the drive from central WY
Maybe one day when our restrictions loosen.
Come hide some rods in Las Vegas!! Lol
Haha Sam and I would love to
I think you misspoke on the action of the roads. I think you got it backwards
Burrr, I'm from Florida. That looks fun, but really cold. Thanks for another awesome adventure.
Wish I was in Florida right now!
It's funny because I watch Florida fishing videos saying pretty much the same thing, but nice and warm instead! Once the world is healthier again, maybe I'll find someone in Florida to invite up in the winter in exchange for some Florida fishing!
@@JaySiemens It's beautiful here right now and the fishing is off the chain, best time to be out on the water. I'm in SW Fl. When you do get here you have an open invite to collaborate!
"FLaG FLAG fLAg!" You guys reminded me of the seagulls from finding nemo. 😂
hahah its a similar passion
Love the videos, one day I’ll pull a fish through the ice, maybe with some
Jay knowledge to boot!
Thanks so much!
Thats awesome!!!
Every winter when I cleaned, and purged my boat of tackle, you know, to buy more..
..I'd throw it all in a bag and leave at the boat ramp on my 'home lake' with hopes of a little kid grabbing it and wanting to fish because of it. Who wouldn't wanna fish after playing with big laker baits. :-)
Thats awesome. I like hearing that. Thanks!
i hope you talk that kid lift his rod up instead of pointing it towards the hole when a fish is on
Jay love the videos! Instead of using the clip, wrap the line like attaching to a downrigger release. Much easier to manage and no clips.
Good to know! Thanks!
"It's like your ax in Fortnite." - train up a child in the way she should go. LOL
Thanks Brandon for both your awesome editing, you two make a great team.
I appreciate that!
The Automatic Fisherman is built much better than flimsy Jaw Jacker, but I guess you get what you pay for! Go online and try them out! Would love to see your impression! I know I think there awesome
Thanks
I'll check them out!
Something I'm wondering, how do you target walleye without just catching pike??
Can't use live bait here, so we use frozen minnows, yet pike get to them first. In return, we are forced to use steel leaders, or risk being bitten off every bite. If I knew how to target walleye without attracting pike, I'd be able to go without a steel leader, and vastly improve strike numbers
Pike come with the adventure. Some get edited out. Some days we find the walleyes just a bit better.
Good vid Jay. Love the rod giveaway idea. I personally would not buy another ifish pro after using them for the last 2 years. They are fragile, awkward to pack, finicky to setup, requires a bobber stop which needs to be set every time you change depths, the red clips break and get lost, and as seen in your vid they get caught at the tip of your rod sometimes which lost you fish. I feel like there are better options out there rod/ tip up combos that still allow fish to run with the line. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work man.
Oh wow! Very interesting because they're my favourite. Thanks for the input though, I appreciate it!
in Minnesota the reason the Jaw Jacker is illegal is because it is "trigger activated device", you cant have a balloon with a "trigger" here... just saying...
Good to know. Wondered why I never saw any for sale here. Meh, regular ol tip-ups are just fine!
What was that Bluetooth thing he was talking about???
How deep are you fishing? Trying to figure out walleye at a local lake and not sure what depth to be at. I’m Fishin points at 30 feet getting the odd one but wanna wack and stack!
Sorry, totally dependant on lake and water temps. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
If there are people who want to have a tip up similar to iFish Pro, but does not have the bobber stops, they can look for a Finicky Fooler. I also like to pair mine with an Okuma bait feeder reel. They work great.
Good to know! Thanks!
Jay you need to look into some 6-8lb P-Line Floroclear I use 6lb all the way to the hook and have not lost very many fish due to break off's lol
Is that line sensitive?
Yeah! I might have to!
@@JaySiemens I was sold on it when I caught my first Laker at 32in when perch fishing on 4lb P-Line in that Floroclear 😂 I mean he completely destroyed my new perch reel and killed all 150yrds of line I just put on but I landed that fish 😂
@@Detroit3Pistons I run it on all my rods including my TUCR Precision perch/walleye rod and my TUCR Commander for BIG Walleye 👊🏼😎 I know braid would be a lot more sensitive but I like to fish outside to much!
By far the best fishing channel on UA-cam!! Keep making AWESOME videos!!!
Thanks so much!!!
@@JaySiemens This just made my day
This is why I stopped using the I fish pro...that clip system is a Pain in the butt. The HT ice rigger is a way more simplistic system with the same effect of being able to use your rod and free spool line without the need for a dumb plastic piece attached to your line.
Good to know! Thanks!
My son and I stopped on the ice road to have some lunch before we drove on to where we were going to fish so I popped up this video for him to watch. To our surprise we were parked no more that 30 yards from where Jay hid those rods. What a coincidence. Even though is was a few days later my son ran out to look.
Sorry you missed them! Next time!
As usual, another great video and a sweet ride!
Another beauty video Jay... Keep the 🔥🔥🔥 coming
Thanks Richard!
That little clip is the reason I don't like those iFishPro's at all. I'll stick to a device I found called the Finicky Fooler. It can do dead sticks like the iFish Pro's, or it also has a hook setting device.
Good to know!!
I need a another ice rod. 😄 this would’ve been good.
Maybe I’ll do it again!
Always good to get a few tips or refreshers.
I'm a little late but you ever try running a bait feeder reel on one of these? I wonder if the fish would drop the bait cause of the slight resistance.
Do you guys ever use a first strike fishing pole flag? I use them in place of the i-fish pro and love them. A little trouble with freezing but I cover my holes too so not terrible. Great video as always...bring on the ice!!!
Tell the bait shop to invest in a 4 propeller "drone" to "airlift" 2 dozen minnows
Right!? Should be the standard.
I bet everyone commenting now and getting a reply by jay is because he’s probably fishing right now and getting bored and he’s making another video lol
Haha editing the next video actually
@@JaySiemens well I was close
Pick me. Ice fishing is my passion.
I wish we could use live minnows in sask
I’m gonna admit I just hopped in this winter but this is the best channel ever
Thanks for being here!
Awesome video! Looking forward to the next one as usaul. Tight lines ya umpa lumpasssss haha!
Just being concern just don't use your teeth on a split shot lead is so dangerous once it enter your body
Okay!
Do a longer line tied on the clip to the the main line and then a shorter one to the pole, never lose em
Good to know!
Next we need a how to on lake trout
What size split shots you use?
Let’s goo jay
Yess!
YETI bait cooler! Jay, I DARE you to try to make this happen!
Jaymie Siemenson, i drill 100+ holes a day and cant catch fish. What am i doing wrong
Depends what you're looking for!
@@JaySiemens you didnt have to bring it up after this long 😭😂 i hit a hot streak late season thankfully 🙏🏼
Stop biting split shot! It’s not the dentist you should be worried about, it’s lead poisoning. You’re young, I’d stop that habit now.
I’d be more worried about the lead inhalation when lure making! and yes I wear masks for that.
As a hygienist whose bit fishing line and split shot growing up.. Yes, break the habit!! I waited too long to and have micro chipping on my incisors that causes some sensitivity here and there 😬
Excellent fishing and video Jay!!! Great job giving out the rods!
Who won the buddy heater ??? Where are you from ???
I had it listed below! And me? originally from Manitoba moved to NW ON
Great give away Jay! Glad the locals got out there and were polite enough not to jack all the rods!
When are you going to post the video saying who won the Mr. Heater Flex kit?
It’s in my feed. Posted it last night! No video, just the name. Also posted it on the “fattest walleye” video comments
Thank you so much. It is awsome that you are helping beginner ice anglers like me get started with free stuff and pro tips
You rock! First giving away fishing rods, second allowing your editor to catch most of the Walters! Thanks for showing the clips of those finding the rods.
Glad you're enjoying it!
They need to combine the I-fish pro and the bite me box tip-ups
Do a jay vs clay ice fishing edition!
Maybe!
Fishing in the morning but to Yee watch Jay!!
Great Video, My friend!:)
Thank you!
Double my usual catch of 0 is still 0!
Don't matter. Keep getting out there!
Jay, your videos are so entertaining! plus your cameras bring the best out of my TV and make the Eskimo red color look even more amazing. Please don’t put one of the most toxic metals in your mouth! I use tungsten weights that attach to my line via a rubber tubing. I’ll try to share a link. Thank you!
Haha fair enough. Thanks for watching!
ive never been wallye fishing becuse we dont have wally in alaska
Loving the pull up, “We got a flag!” NICE
The boat train though 😂😂 priceless!
Wow love it! Your amazing
I appreciate that!
This has convinced me to buy an ifish pro. Been on the edge of getting one but this clarifies my decision.
I love them!
First time going ice fishing by my self tomorrow, been doing some research and came across this vid. Now I’m starting to bing watch them lol. I watch a lot of Uncut Angling but didn’t know you had your own content. Cool stuff man! Been learning a lot from your vids. Can’t wait to put it all into practice!
Glad you're here!
Great video Jay, what temp do u usually steer away from tip ups. I find it such a pain to mess with them under 10-15 F.
Its usually blistering cold here always so temps aren't a factor for me.
Enjoyed the video as always.
Awesome!!
Your actually so helpful
Glad you think so!
