All three are very talented musicians and songwriters and the longest note still has yet to be broken. It holds a guinness world record. A-HA are an amazing band live too and their music keeps evolving and changing. a-ha also have a Guinness book of records record for largest paying audience of 198,000 people in Brazil. That was part of 25 show tour of South America, total combined audience of over 3 million people.
You just heard the song that got Morten Harket into the Guinness World Of Records for the longest sustainable note in a pop song,and eventhough he might struggle abit with that length today because of his age,noone has beaten it to my knowledge,and that speaks volume as this has been there since 2000. Several generations of artists has had a chance to beat it,but it still stands. You should see them perform this at Valhall (Valhalla),he does it even better there and the crowd goes absolutely wild instantly afterwards!

So, I was in my early 20s then a-ha was charting in the US and it was just another group with good music and a pretty front man. I have come to really appreciate a-ha and Morten Harket. Amazing voice and technique. And if you ever get the chance to go to Oslo (where this concert was filmed - Nobel Peace Prize concert I think...), go. I was told it was 'sleepy'. We spent four days and LOVED it. Beautiful, clean, efficient, good food and a lot to see. A bit expensive compared to the US but worth every penny. Would love to go back.

Usually I would say go for a live version 99/100 times but in this case the video has all the context...

Great songs by them are Velvet, Lifelines, Sun always shines on TV (check out for a fairly new acoustic version), Crying in the rain, and much much more, including of course Take on Me with the iconic video that is within the top ten best videos of all times.

NO! Not a record holder. The record is 39 seconds in 2011, beating out the previous 36 seconds from 1982. A-Ha did not hold the record.
