Morten is in the Guinness book of records for the long note. I’ve seen him in the flesh many times doing it. The record is for the long note is for the version on the album. But live his has actually done it longer.
These guys have never just been a pop group. You can't put them in a box. Their arrangements and songs are so varied and always interesting. Career spanning decades and yet they are still cranking out great music. This live version is my favourite, I prefer it to the studio version because of the beautiful guitar and piano arrangement in the middle there. They had a massive hit in the 80s called "Take On Me" - I'm sure you've heard it. They did an unplugged version for MTV maybe a decade ago and it totally changed the feel of the song, it's one of the best live performances I've seen, from any band - mainly because of the feels and the impact the performance had on me.
This song came later in A-HA’s career and it’s a classic. I love Summer Moved On it’s one of my favourites. This song got them their first guinness world record for the longest note held during a live performance . It’s amazing to see morten hold that note then proceed to a really high note seconds later. I love it. I have been an A-HA fan for 40 years now and they have and continue to produce the soundtrack to my life. No band beats A-HA. Thanks for the reaction to this song. I have seen them in flesh performing this masterpiece 3 times in various periods.All were great.A-ha is the biggest music thing that came out of Norway and in the top 5 acts with longlasting impact in mainstream music that came out from whole Scandinavia area together with Roxette,Max Martin,Ace of Base and of course ABBA.
This is an a-ha classic song and yes I know it's not that old !!! What an epic, heart breaking song to announce their return to the music scene. Morten has a unique tone to his voice and the band really take great care to make the right soundscape for his voice. Love this song.... Yes I have tried to sing 'the note'.... No. I was not in tune. No I won't be trying it again. LOL

You did not disappoint! Pål wrote the song when the band had their reunion after several years of absence, as an explanation for why they had been away for so long. Morten stated on the tour the year the album was released that he thought Pål's aim was to keep him young with the note. Pål and Magne have always written songs that challenged Morten, to see how far they could stretch him with high or low notes, by twisting and turning them up and down, here and there (as in I've been losing you) and as here, with the long note.

I had an asthma attack, and went to hospital. I wrote in my diary that I would die if I couldn't go the the A-ha consert in Stockholm. Might be 1987, might be wrong. 😅 I made them dismiss me in time. That consert was so wonderful. My crush at that time stand behind me holding me. For real I use their music to finely use my vacuum cleaner. 😊 Love them so. Hugs from Sweden.
That gig in Oslo Spectrum was the last part of their fairwell 2010 tour.I had caught them right before this,that was in London Wembley (Nov.2010) together with relatives and my wife. It was a fab night and Morten was in perfect shape and form.
In the 80's I loved thier debut album ... several really great songs on that one ...( I remember all the lyrics still ) Also , where live in Austin , Texas , we typically reach 37 celcius / 100 farenheit every day for a month or two in Summer but this year has been a unusually rainy ....keeping it cooler I think Europe is sharing that weather pattern from what you said ...

Saw Aha in concert in Belfast in 1987. Although it’s almost 40 years ago, I remember Mortens beautiful voice and oh what a very handsome man!!!❤
