It will be sold via Hero dealership as well...in my city Lucknow 5 showrooms are taking the booking...and since I already own a Hero motorcycle they are offering some goodies
This is My first preference over truimph, For long stroke under squire torquey engine...that huge 38 nm @ 4000 is the butter on the bread. More usable on daily road and daily traffic, dual valve engine means Simple valve adjustment, low compression mean low engine heat. Thats all i need. I don't need much Hp, 27 is enough for 135kph top. I need high displacement and big pooling power and torque on a heavy machine.
Given a choice, it makes more sense to go for the HD x440 than the speed 400, cause of its sheer size which without a doubt is going to stand out in the motorcycle saturated Indian roads. The 4 valves instead of 2 , and other technicalities like the power and cooling system are going to make difference only at speeds above 120, which is seldom achieved on city roads and is too risky for the highways. In the end of the day a roadster or a scrambler just can’t stand against the feel and emotions that come along with a cruiser
At first glance, street 400 looks like a better vehicle, but when you realize that harly x440 has a long stroke slow reving engine and longer wheelbase along with more comfortable sitting position, ut don't looks that bad. Again many people don't like the design, while it's really a design which grows on you the more you look at it. The only eyesore I still have is the exost pipe.
So, can we expect an Xpulse 440 some time next year? I don't care about the Harley badge but that engine looks very interesting. Also, I hope this bike and the Speed 400 encourage RE to launch a 500 on the J platform.
@@Leo-vj4iv Yeah, 500 doesn't make financial sense for RE because the price gap between the 350 and 650 isn't wide enough. The new 450 will be a step to the side as it's not in the same genre as the other two engines. If they price the Himalayan 450 right, I will probably trade my 390 Duke in for one.

It will be same. This is close to final production, the supply chain are parts design are already in place so you can't expect improvements in the product for end consumer.
I was looking forward to this bike but the fit & finish & some design decisions are so poor its a massive disappointment. At this price level you expect excellent fit & finish but this "harley" falls flat on its face. It just lacks premium feeling & you don't want that on a near 3L bike.
@@KirkLazurus I have worked with a lot of automobile brands and I exactly know what I am talking about...of course you should not expect Triumph levels but they usually improve...the weld points seen on the chasis are usually covered by welding another metal piece of same Color or use super adhesive tapes(not those typical electrical tapes) to hide these marks cheap yet a very effective solution

Fit & finish levels aren't that great because most of the money went to provide good quality tractable engine which pulls great & smooth...FUNCTION OVER FORM formula....
The most illogical comments are the ones calling this a poor man's Harley or a Chhapri bike. Let's understand why.. 90-95% of the two wheeler sales is still 100-150 cc segment scooters & bikes with Splendor alone claiming 1/3 of total sales numbers. Out of the remaining 5-10%...the Pulsars, the Yamahas, the Hunters, the KTMs & the Apaches claim the lion's share. Only about 1-2% of the total sales is in bikes with an On Road price of 2.5 lacs or above. Harley is placed in this segment and so is Triumph. A bike which is trying to enter a 1-2% cream segment in a market can't ever be called a chhapri or a poor man's bike. Rather, both Harley & Triumph can be a big breakthrough for expanding this 1-2% and give the customers in this segment more options. RE isn't gonna be an easy pushover either. Both Harley & Triumph are different kind of bikes and both will find their individual success in Indian market.
Be happy for what you got bro. New bikes keep coming and if you were to wait you will keep on waiting. There's always a next time😁 Congrats for the new motorcycle 🥳🥳
