Awesome video! I just wanted to mention you can get to deeproot depths without doing ranni’s questline, if you for some reason wanted to (like in a subsequent playthrough, to grab the prince of death staff real quick like myself). You just need to go to the subterranean shunning grounds and get to Mohg the omen, then go through the temple of the forsaken puzzle and there are two hidden walls in a row by the grace at the bottom of that puzzle which lead to the branches above where you would spawn in if you took the normal way to deeproot depths through the coffin
@@bendelaughter no problem man! Yeah I was hesitant to post this because I wasn’t sure if it was common knowledge, but I’m glad to see it was hopefully useful to some people. Hope you’re having fun!

5:04 - for anyone who doing this, if you go down to the invisible floor & immediately go left first to a corridor, there's a ghost flower there. Hit the wall past it & there's a chest containing the Silver Scarab, a tailsman that boosts the item drop rate by 75 points, I think 5:28 - before you go through the doors to the boss, if you go right there's a lift that'll take you to a corpse with a Spelldrake +2 tailsman, which greatly reduces magical damage so likely a must-have for anyone doing pvp
I am so impressed with the breadth of this game. It's so expansive and deep and rich with things to do and find and discover that it borders on being a fault. I'm not even halfway into how much this game has to offer and at ~90Hrs in, this has been more than worth the wait.
One of the few games that " optional content" is almost required and as good as any other aspect of the game. I am 100 hours deep and still have 10-15 more hours of content, not even considering all of the armor and weapons I want to farm before NG+. This game is absolutely bananas. I am amazed looking back on reviews from 2 weeks ago where most reviewers only had 50-60 hours play time, that is half of the game.
Well I wouldn't say all optional stuff is worth doing, there are a few optional bosses that are not the greatest such as the fight where you got to beat three putrid crystalians...
UA-cam recommended you to me since I've started playing Elden Ring. I'll be honest, I found your setup to be very clever. Thanks for taking the time to make this video accessable for every player. I'm subbing now👍
I see so many people beating the game quickly and not take the time to explore and find all these. I’ve found all of these up to the land of the giants cause I haven’t explored there yet. 143hrs in and only beat 3 rune bosses so far

5:50 Pro tip. Just take off any weapons and spells when you walk through the door. Mimic will copy and have to try punching you to death while you just re-equip your weapon and murder him. Not really necessary cause it's not a hard fight but it IS hilarious.
For the mimic tear boss you can take off all you gear and weapons before entering the room so you can fight a weak naked version of yourself, then right after you enter the room you can put your gear back on to make it super easy
Honestly, you can just take off all your weapons and the mimic will just punch you and it only does chip damage. Both armor and weapons are fine but its quicker to just pop into menu and re-equip one or two weapons
I did quite a few side quests before seeing FIA in the deep roots, after I killed the dragon, I came back and gathered the rune and rested at the grace one more time. When I came back Ds brother was standing over her body with a bloody sword, spouting a bunch of bs, so I slid my greatsword through him and took my revenge for killing the only comfort I ever received in this game lol

Yeah I just beat him last night and I really liked the fight, it wasn't necessarily super hard compared to other bosses but was still provided a challenge and was really cool and fun, especially the second phase.
Placidusax is my 2nd favorite fight in the game, following Maliketh. Soloing might feel a bit unfair though because you have to constantly run after him while dodging his attacks. But the weapon from the remembrance is worth it, with enough FP you can literally 0-hit most major bosses, provided that you actually hit them with the skill every time (which I'm still practicing, it's not very easy), and know your open time frames. I used exactly this weapon to defeat Maliketh on my 3rd try, the insane amount of i-frames is just unbelievable :)
Hi! Just saying, you don't need ranni's quest line to access Deeproot Depth. You can still access it through the secret room under the royal capital. Entrance is behind 3 sets of hidden walls. @RageGamingVideos
