    this isn't really great advice, i mean it does kind of work if you literally only want to draw faces from straight ahead with small variaton, but the moment you try deviate it just falls apart completely.
    generally it's much better to just observe faces with a strong focus on three dimensonal form so that you gain the ability to picture it in your mind.
    proportions also, they actually can be helpful but you shouldn't use them as some kind of grid, all of these proportions can and do change when put in perspective so try to use them properly (also you can actually transform these proportion and still be reasonably realistic/human like, you just have to know what you're doing, but dont be afraid to play around with them)
    im not trying to trash on this tutorial, i just tought it was a bit innacurate. i hope this helps!

    • @Sisoou
      @Sisoou  Рік тому

      I am aware of what you are saying. This is more focused towards beginner, The proportions are from Loomis method and they do work from all angels, you just have to spin The sphere of The head and map them out correctly on that sphere in perspective.
      You can warp The proportions yes, that is correct but too much and itll look weird. So I know what youre saying but it is mostly all covered just in very simple terms so to speak. The proportions is an easy way to start drawing faces with too
      I do understand your concern tho (: you have to know perspective and how to warp things in it to use a more advance version of this method
      Have a Nice rest of day mate!

    • @Sisoou
      @Sisoou  Рік тому

      In this video I am drawing a female character. But yeah typically you can draw the jaw wider on males. But it doesn't really matter too much since everybody's different and well a female character can have a wide jaw and vice versa. So it's mostly up to the artist (:
