    Thanks for the video. My clownfish just layed their first eggs, and I had to "loose" them, because I wasn't ready. But I will next time!!

      @@alecw4646 they are sold as freshwater, but in the wild they can live between freshwater, brackish estuaries and saltwater habitat, so they can be acclimatised to salt water

    While your scooping method works, that seems like alot of work 😅 i like to set up a little siphon with the light pointing towards the hose opening. But there are tons of ways to do it. Looks like you got it all down, very nice!

    So one day i woke up and my tank was INFESTED with these things! I had no clue wtf they were i thoyght i had a massive cope pod explosion overnight. But i saw the parents eating rhem thats why ithought that but i put the video on line asked about it...and it was them eating the children due to no sustanable food source for the fry 😢. If i knew in advance theywwrre getting busy i would have gotten more copepods plankton and baby brine shrimp!!!

    i would not go with the sponge filter until they start eating powderedfood coz it sucks up the rotifers

      Yes you are right. It was only the first day that I use the sponge filter. From second day onwards, I only use the normal tubing that I set on low-medium :)

    What if there are only fish in ur tank like 2 clownfish (the parents) it is needed to transfer the fry into another tank? Or nah?

      Yes. Parents will eat them if not. And compete for food.

      Mine breeds during the warmer season but I guess these fish breed all year round in the ocean 😅

      You can't use it until they are much older (preferably once they metamorphosis). I took mine out the 2nd day after I noticed a lot of them died

    Was there a gradual die off from when the eggs hatched, or was there any steps that were more detrimental to the end result?

      I would say it's more about maintaining water quality as well as having available food all the time in the water column. That's really hard to achieve

    Do fry need their own tank or can you just use a breeder box?

      Hey Chris, yes the fry will definitely need their own tank because they need to be able to feed on rotifers all the time. The holes in the breeder are too big for the fry (they'll just slip through). Hope this helps!

      From the hundreds of babies, only a small precent survive. Propably in nature these only would survive
