So much more enjoyable than FSC Trucking. You really appreciate your fans and treat them with respect. Steve at FSC is just an ego maniac anymore. Glad some people are still legit. 👍
The only bad thing with your videos is, they are great! So great I go to youtube every single day looking for the new one. It's like ice cream, I cannot get enough. But, I will stay the course looking for your next great adventure as always-----every day!
Thanks for taking us along! Keep on trucking!
Dan,
It was nice meeting you in Cuba Monday, enjoy your home time.
Stay safe, Rick
Hey Mr Dan. B SAFE
🚛💨💨💨💨
Safe Travels. Love ❤❤❤❤ Miss Bailey & her new scarf. Give her a hug, scratches behind each ear, & smooches.
Thank you for posting this great video . I enjoy the interesting informative details you show about life and trucking. I really enjoyed the fan mail for co-pilot Bailey. You two have a most wonderful day!!!
Thanks Dan
Your professional attitude to your work is a credit to you
Safe Travels Home and enjoy quality time with your family
🌵🇬🇧👍
there was one shipper, i cant remember who, that specified not to top off your fuel tanks, till after you loaded their product. well i said "screw that" and topped off my fuel tanks BEFORE i got loaded, cause they always seemed to try and max you out where you have to make many mini fuel stops. i didn't like stopping so much, you couldn't get far down the road, if you had a time limit for delivery and i didn't like driving late at night as TS's and rest areas were full, pulling off the side to rest area entrances or exits just wasn't safe.
100% Eclipse 60-minutes South of STL on I-55 was Gridlock. 90-minutes from STL to Jackson / Cape Girardeau, MO. 8+ hours to Return to STL at Midnight. 🤪👎
Safety Orange. Never a bad thing. Nice video! Thank you.
Thank you Dan, Teresa, Bailey, Mercer, viewers, subscribers, logistics and the two and four legged left at home that makes all this possible.
Take care out there. I think the big D-word financially is now here that no one discusses...
History repeats itself.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. The nice thing about pulling the same deck all the time is the knowledge gained so when it comes time for a 44,000 lbs coil to load, your experience tells exactly where to put it and still be under weight. Those spread axles on your trailer really help out. Your an old pro Dan and it shows. A rookie would have had a tuff time getting everything right , big tarps off, metal boxes on 100 gal of fuel and the load positioned just right to scale that load. The thing about trucking there is always something new to learn. Thanks for posting Dan. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, hey, your going home..
Bailey looks cute with her copilot scarf!
Safe travels home. Love the scarf for Bailey and i loved the music you started your video with. it,s some of the kind i listen to when doing art.
Your knowledge of routes and scale locations is impressive.
Glad to see a video, must be slow. Cheers,ed
Bailey is a good girl, Dan you're the man.
60 k subs 😁🙌🏼👏👌🏻
Should have said Sumptin? I'm at the bottom end of I44.....would have enjoyed meeting with you.
Travel safe, Dan!!! Thanks for the video.
Furgirl likes the little vest. :o)
Going around the scale just west of Oklahoma city is fairly easy to go around. APU allowance of 400 lbs that s great. I had heard that a couple of years ago.
I have a white 1999 Ford Ranger with a paint-free rusty area on the roof just like your Ranger.
You still have great choices in music!
The Midwest Travel Terminal was on a TV show years ago. I stopped one time when I was passing through. I thought it was a dive then. If it is worse now, I can't imagine what it is like.
Thanks for the video
Isn’t that the one just we of Columbia MO on I-70.
Dan's The BEST...
Goodluck Dan
I live near Concordia MO. it also has a crappy TA on I-70 . your best bet if your on I-70 is to stop at Betty's Truck Stop. On YY next exit past Sweet Springs east bound. . . Plenty of parking and 24 hour , most prices around $10 - $13 bucks home style cooked food. Also good place to walk Bailey too.
Great video brother from the imperial county California 🇺🇲🇺🇲
Oh! You talking about the truck. Mt Vernon? Now I’m homesick. Stay safe.
Was hoping to see the new trailer. Gonna be in the 90’s here in Az this week
Another good one Dan 👍
Welcome back my friend and you guys have a wonderful week
Bandana looks good on Bailey!!!
Be glad you're not in Montana. It's snowing today !
You da tarp king! 😂
I haul for a steel mill all the time ninety percent of the time the load is lighter than what the paperwork says just another way steel mills make money over their customers. 😁Thanks for sharing Dan.
Gr8 TRUCKIN TIMEZ Mr Dan!!!!!🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🇺🇸📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢🎥📹🎥📸🐶
Rig is looking really nice. Stay safe, brother.
+ Don't know if you have same type of seat l have , but my arm rest comes off if you push it in towards the seat , a spring , then turn it backwards a quarter turn or so then pull it out completely in case you don't want it there , so maybe yours is not broken , it just came off . Try the reverse of above ,,
Hey Dan and Bailey.
Tiz bin awhile DAN… HOPE ALL IS WELL!
It must be really slow,, new lease-ons AND Mercer town full says to me that freight is slooow. Hang in there. Cheers,ed
Enjoy your home time@
It dimmed a little here in West Central Illinois, but not much more. I always liked the videos you made at home, working on this or that. Them Missouri scales are easy to get around. I've been there done that.
Hi Dan, that music when you are loading at the start was really good, have a great day
Thanks for the ride!
Truck looks great
Thanks Dan
Thx for the vid Dan
Keep it working 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
You ok out there Dan? Haven't seen any new videos.
Thanks
Love the sound track at the beginning of the video.
Morning Dan had a good visit in Louisville.
Hi Dan do you not have the way station bypass? Hi to you too Bailey!
Congratulations on 60k subscribers! Be safe, Dan!
Dan, Dan. Has anyone seen Dan. Call super trucker Dan. I hope everything is ok. Waiting to hear about the low boy trailer. Thanks
Another great video Dan Bailey has a secret fan base and she looks great in her hi vis vest I miss your train of the day...Best wishes from Sydney Australia.
Homeward bound. Be safe 👍
You added your usual bungie tail to the toolbox, but I suggest you hook it in the other direction. As it is, the road wind will tilt that thing back toward the open end of the hook, and one pothole will free it.
I thought the same thing.
That wind was messing with you as you tried to tarp that coil...
Stay safe
N- joy time @ home 👍🏾😎🙌🏾
dont know if i mentioned this but once when i was still new/a rookie, i picked up 3 totes of sugar, in Idaho, for delivery in Calf. i was told they were 2500 lbs each, so stupid me didn't scale the load. when i got to the El Cajon pass scale, i was overweight. had to pull over and wait till the following day, when a local driver from my company could come and man handle a tote off, then i had to go back around and go thru the same scale BEFORE 3 pm, and re-scale my load. i passed and got to the receiver a day late. from that day till my last day, no matter what my load was, light OR heavy, i scaled my load and never got pulled over again for being overweight.
Do you think the shipper knew? I've worked with shipping/receiving/ hauling I took a lot of pride in knowing exact weight to. My niece is a trucker I forwarded Dan's channel she likes learning something new everyday.
@@13699111 well they did have a scale on site. you had to scale in and scale out, so they knew how much they could load. since i was a company driver the company set a speed limit on the trucks. i didnt have all the tools and gadgets they have now. had a calculator and weights and had to figure out everything by hand. even had to know what a gallon of fuel weighed.
Great video Dan. I always enjoy your choice of music as well.
@@dennismckown4951What's the weight on one pound of fuel?
@@conquerorhowie 1 gallon of fuel weighs 7 pounds
Great content!
Dan have spoken with Dorsey about the step deck trailer you are asking them to build for you .
Tarping in the wind sucks
Dan I guess you do your own editing of your videos, and I was wondering what program you use for it. You always turn out a nice looking piece of work. Thanks for the content.
Diesel is almost $8 a gallon here in chinada. 🤮
I hauled a 46,000 pound troll from Gary Indiana to El Gordo south Tucson to the. you had to belly loaded it. That’s it beat the sh#! out of me.
Looking good Dan,
your truck and trailer I bet it rides real nice the way the weight seting on it, Little Bailey saying I know it's all mine dad this stuff belongs to me this time 😂😂 Definitely that's a cool scarf fits Bailey perfect,
be safe take care yourselve Dan
👍😎👍 enjoy your home time
Give Bailey a belly rub for me and y'all stay safe.
Spent too many nights at Mercer Town, didn't like them heavy loads, most air-conditions in TN
Would you manage this load of pipe on the step deck you’re going to run ????
You get the extra weight for the generator, too, don't you?
Curious , do you get to choose how the coils are faced? Heard the term suicide when they are faced like you have it in the beginning ? Doesn’t bother you or you don’t have a choice? Not being critical, not a driver , just curious……
Hey Dan with new trailer coming how will your loads differ if at all?
love Baileys babushka
I've been meaning to ask, why is that truck so difficult for you to put it in 1st gear?
Hi Dan!
How many gallons of fuel does your truck carry?
I'll guess 300?
Run at nite they be closed
I can only imagine what your tractor weighs. Nice accommodations Dan but it sure limits your ability to haul the heavy loads even with that all aluminum 48’er
does he look like he's got a shortage of loads to haul?
Safe travels
Do you still have your white Peterbilt?
What's an APU allowance?
The scales allow you an extra 400 lbs because he has an auxiliary power unit. (APU) So he could roll across the scale at 80,400 and not be hassled. Normal max weight allowed is 80,000.
Morning trucker Dan. Enjoyed our visit at Louisville
What does APU allowance mean is it because you have a 3rd axel on the trailer???
Apu ( auxiliary power unit). On his truck he has a generator that powers his hvac unit. He doesn’t have to run his truck engine to stay warm/ cool. The government gives an allowance for having one on your truck. As he said it’s an extra 400lbs. If you don’t have an apu, your total weight of truck and cargo can’t be more than 80,000lbs. With an apu, you can be 80,400lbs
@@johnheck2198 Thanks for the detailed explanation!!!
👍✌
Need to have a Chat with your Dispatcher? Here's what I will only haul!
I thought you had a scale built into the trailer and the truck dash?
What do you do if you get to a certified scale (not law enforcement) and determine that you are overweight due to the client's weight not being accurate. Do you go back and make them offload/reload? Do they pay for overweight 'license'? Do you just run heavy like the outlaw that you are?
You're good on gross, but what about an axle violation? 35,400 pounds on the rear dual trailer axles - aren't you 1,400 pounds over on the rear dual trailer axles?
I remember him saying that because it is a spread axle, he is allowed 20,000 on each axle.
@@mikewatson4644 Oops! You are correct Mike. My bad. I'm sorry Dan, I forgot about the spread axles on the trailer.
🗽🇺🇸🙏👌
All so called truck stops have gone down hill especially TA these tiny pilots suck Loves is ok Petro is halfway decent Some Hooks are ok
This might be a stupid question but ive never worked flatbed and you have a 35400 on the trailer axel on a van that would be overweight 1400 on the trailer axel how would you fix this i dont believe you could move your axel or is that allowed on flatbed ?
On a spread axle trailer you are allowed 20000 lbs per axle for a total of 40000 lbs on the trailer axles. A closed tandem axle like on a van is 34000lbs.
Thanks for watching
Dry vans can have spread axles for 40,000 lbs.
People are going to think you and Bailey are twins dressed up in your orange duds. Enjoy your time at home and don't work to hard on this one..
How is 12600 legal on the steer axle? Tire rating?
The front axle has a higher weight rating, I believe he said it was 13200 iirc, bigger tires yes, otherwise you wouldn't be legal.. Afaik tractors with these huge RV bunks and double saddle tanks on the long wheelbase need the higher capacity rated steer axle.
Still doesn't make since to run steers that heavy when you're 31 on the drives. He can only add 800 to gross out. Unless he is out of slide on his 5th wheel, don't think he could move 2000 lbs that would be about 8 slots on the 5th wheel and it already slid back a lot.
:)
Apu does not allow you to be ove 80k.You're misonformed
