German engineering and piloting what can I say? Great flying great video recording, you indeed have the best rc filming other than one guy from Australia. Good job keep 'email coming.
Awesome cool! German engineering. The Horten brothers were geniuses way ahead of their time. I wonder what the glide ratio of this beautiful aircraft is.
Sick RC, good pilot skills. And as a cameraman. Great follow, makes a difference when your looking at the viewfinder. Just not eyeballing it as many do. 👍🏼🛩📽
damn good orientation skills... with both the top and bottom the same color and its symmetrical shape its very easy to get confused whether your flying upright or inverted...
Jan J. I know it uses elevons for pitch and roll but where does it get it's yaw stability? You need vertical stabilizers for yaw stability. This wing could have a lot of wash out in the wing tips for yaw stability but that would negate trying to be streamline necessary for top speed. It could have split elevons on the wing tips with a gyro but it did not appear to have that that either. Possibly a special airfoil for yaw stability and has no need for verticals?
Your right about the yaw component with a wing. But they will fly without vertical stabs. You have to keep the speed up for take offs and landing. I'm sure that's why he uses a bungee for take offs. They will do the quickest tip stall you've ever seen without vertical stabs/speed. Skill level of the pilot has a lot to do with it too, of course.
You can read about it here. ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20160003578.pdf No need for vertical tail or digital stabilization. I even designed model with almost no sweep and it still flies quite stable in yaw without vertical tail.
Friends ask me how I can fly something that is crazy fast like this and I just say you never ever take your eyes off it or it's gone and it's hard to catch up and possibly too late.
You have to remember your orientation going into a turn. If you get confused, you can do a wing wagg. To find right, and left. The down side is they can disappear at the right angle. I love flying wings. So simple, yet they seem to go against the laws of flight.
Because of the bungee launch the folded prop was not in use. He turned on the motor after the wing was launched and the folded props unfolded and began to spin after the launch.
The Horton brothers would be proud!
This guy knows how to cameraman! Superb
Stayed with him the entire time.
Would likely have made one heck of a wingman!
rip english language

Oh Damm the sound and speed is amazing!!
Hahahaha....what else can you say, That is CRAZY Fast !! Takes some Real skill to fly that aircraft at that speed, Great video my Friend, Peace
Technology so beautiful it creates emotion. Fantastic flying and camera work.
beautiful love that takeoff and landing nice designe nice pilot nice camera man.
Sure wish these were in English!! I don't understand a word, but enthusiasm is universal!
Wow. Good pilot.😃
WOW! Awesome wing and pilot 👍👍👍👍
Awesome cool!
German engineering.

Never seen a rc plane like this. Great job. I can't do this.
Your work that recording such a flight is meaningful !!!
That thing makes the most amazing sound I've ever heard from an EV...
thats a masterpiece! and his flying skills are superb, wow, hi from New Zealand :)
Can we see what motor etc curious about how they work nice 👍
Totally impressed Batman wing👍👌👏
Se agradece ésas tomas y está excelente. Gracias.
One of the best rc plane noises ever ;o) nice build!
Great job of flying what a nice wing.
Awesome! That is motivational for a beginner like me. It gives me something to look forward to. Is that a store bought wing?
Love the noise, nice one
Incredible, so beautiful
Sick RC, good pilot skills. And as a cameraman. Great follow, makes a difference when your looking at the viewfinder.
Just not eyeballing it as many do. 👍🏼🛩📽
I can't cry in a comment, perfect horten rc hightspeed wing
Beautiful.
I wish it had an FPV setup in it.

Magnificent airplane, flying, and camera work. Very enjoyable. That thing is FAST! I'm curious how many RPM the propeller runs.
What a flight! good job!
damn good orientation skills... with both the top and bottom the same color and its symmetrical shape its very easy to get confused whether your flying upright or inverted...
Good throttle management and flight plan. Staying ahead of the game....
That thing is awesome 😎👍
The pilot is pretty damn good too 😁👍
That triggered my PTSD. It should be illegal! Just kidding it's awesome, good job!
Wow that’s just WOW 😮 I fly also but that thing is just WOW love your video a pleasure to watch 👍
Geiles Teil! Noch Geiler wärs mit einem Einziehfahrwerk! ;-)
Porsche 918 Weissach/Hippie wiegt leider und ist Vlt garnicht möglich weil das Teil einfach ziemlich flach ist
Cool hatch cover. CD ROM. Wonder if it has any significance or just was handy. Would be cool to pull a mold off it and pound out a 100 or so.
Somebody please fit the camera man in that RC! 😃he can surely control the camera! Nice video👌🏻🔥
The RC model of my dreams
Very Nawce 🏁 I have same wing design, little more steathier but a tractor tail on it for VTOL flight and enjoyed your video for R&D..
That sounds awesome
Agreed AMAZING cameraman! What equipment was used??
The horten brothers designed gliders like this before ww2
Geezusss, exhilarating.
The sound reminds me of a tie fighter off star wars
Exelente es hermoso super buen pilot
OK so what is the airfoil and/or set up programming to get away with not having a vertical stabilizer?
Elevons
Jan J. I know it uses elevons for pitch and roll but where does it get it's yaw stability? You need vertical stabilizers for yaw stability. This wing could have a lot of wash out in the wing tips for yaw stability but that would negate trying to be streamline necessary for top speed. Digital stabilizer....
You can read about it here. ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20160003578.pdf No need for vertical tail or digital stabilization. I even designed model with almost no sweep and it still flies quite stable in yaw without vertical tail.
Is there any plans or drawings to make this model?
Wasn’t expecting that!
Holy shit!
That thing sounds evil!
Very nice.... !
So cool!!!!
That is a stunning wing. I'd love to see some info on the design and build of this. Any details?
That is "Insane". 😜😜😜😜😜
How on earth can you tell which way up it is after a couple of roles ?
Flys better than everything els
Horten hört ein Heil, great vid thx.
Amazing sound
I keep imagining a battlefield recon drone screaming overhead.
Fpv would be insane.
I want a FPV on that!
All I can think is how quickly I could turn this beautiful machine into junk!
need it! fpv for sure!
what a ripper!
Holy moly 😵 I'm sure his trousers where white when he started 😜
Frickin germans......even with the RC's :)))
Super Horten!
stunning
Awesome:)
So satisfying
Where could I get that wing?
Wie zum teufel behält man da die Orientierung? :d
Flugplanung üben und einhalten - und im Zweifel etwas mit dem Flügel wackeln
Friends ask me how I can fly something that is crazy fast like this and I just say you never ever take your eyes off it or it's gone and it's hard to catch up and possibly too late.
that's baddd assss
I like catapult launch
Min da um por favor!😭😭
Eu não tenho condições!!😭😭😭😭🇧🇷
That plane must have become very hot after landing.
How do you check orientation
You have to remember your orientation going into a turn. If you get confused, you can do a wing wagg. To find right, and left. The down side is they can disappear at the right angle. I love flying wings. So simple, yet they seem to go against the laws of flight.
Tons of Practice (and not just with one plane) and like JD Ellis says wing wag .
@@LegendLength I know the feeling I have a couple of beasts that do easy 120 mph , heck even pros get nervous, it's nerves and thrill.
Damn that's fast wao
Amazing...
My rc wing not make even close to its speed damm😱😱
if i had a chance to fly that, I'd crash it through the roof of someones house or something
Wow that wing is sooooooo fast before he land he have to do few turns to kill speed........
Very good 👍
What receiver Frsky ??
German/Austrian pilot. Good chance he's running Graupner.
jeti
Can that be bought or is it Custom made
Speed horton can be bought for about $100 or so, but this particular one is a hybrid of two planes made of carbon fiber. Total custom job.
Is that legal.
Is this plane available anywhere?
The speed horton is. Just google it. But this particular one looks to be a custom build.
I would like one
outstanding
I am sure that wings are inherently a slow to medium speed design.
Kren
This is hybrid or what
This thing is surely fast but not 360 kph. Its looking very fast just beacause of its small size
TOP!
Was doin that in high school. 96
Wouldn't this prof that the stealth bomber could or should be able to reach amazing speeds?????
No
I was just scared of the way he was holding the plane with his arm near the prop before the flight.
Because of the bungee launch the folded prop was not in use. He turned on the motor after the wing was launched and the folded props unfolded and began to spin after the launch.
Music
No way that's 360. No way.
360 are a thing of the past - power has been increased from 4kw to over 10kw - now the wing definitely has more speed
Dear father Christmas, I want I want u want I want one maybe 2.
Wow
