Most Shepherds of any kind are normally get their tails docked when they are born because some people actually use them for working on a ranch or a farm so the farmers and people don’t want the dogs tail to get caught in any machinery o they dock them and they are cute with a tiny nub. Sometimes I agree with docking other times I don’t. But I hope this was kind of helpful even though I’m 4 years late.

Most of the dogs in the USA are bob tail because it is the standard of the Australian Shepherd. I don'[t have any dogs with tails.
Are all show dogs tail less? My dog has a long tail, was hoping to find a video on that

What thinning shears do you have?
Not sure on these, to be honest, this was a long while ago. Currently, I am using Aussie Shears. (Brand Name not the dog)
