Hey dude where you gone? Hope your ok and not quitting YT. looking forward to you next video whenever it is. (And if you have have quit or just taking a break good luck with what ever your doing)
Should’ve mentioned that quite a few of these (Scarlet Nexus, SO6, Like a Dragon 1, just off the top of my head - there are others) are free for PS Plus / Premium subscribers!
I just beat Persona 5 Tactica a few hours ago and it was truly amazing. Great story and characters- the old ones are still great, but Toshiro and Erina were the kings of the game for me. The combat is so good and it has many ways to exploit it with suberb level designs. Also unlike other people, I really enjoyed the "beat in one turn" quests. They were difficult, but very smart and fun once you figure out the puzzle.
Nice list as always! And for once, I won't add any games on my wishkist because I have all the games you've mentioned besides Infinite Wealth and Rebirth, but both are Day 1 purchases for me! I would highly suggest that you look out for a game that completely flew under the radar last year, and it's Miasma Chronicles! It's a really fun tactical rpg in the same style as Xcom but with a sense of humor and a really good story! The only game on your list that I wasn't a fan of is Scarlet Nexus... and I don't know why besides when I've tried it, I got so bored at the beginning that after 5h, I just stopped playing it! I'll definitely need to go back to it to make sure I'm mot missing on a great game! Great video and keep up the good work!
Great video as always. I have to 100% recommend Tales of Arise. One of my favourite games as well (like, top 30, which is actually high, maybe 30 doesn't sound like that but it is for my rankings lol) and it's just really good. The characters and the story are pretty nice and cool and everything is just beautiful. I actually liked that the areas were like decently wide without being open world (at all) because I think they managed to have better graphics that way and you still had a lot to explore. Sometimes I prefer open areas like Xenoblade but sometomes I prefer this, and as I said you can have better graphics this way. I loved the DLC too; seeing how everything doesn't just get solved after you beat the final boss and how people can't leave their previous differences and discrimination aside so easily was absolutely great (kinda like the XC1 HD afterstory) and the final dungeon was really cool, specially that space stairway part. Hoping Bandai Namco announces a new game in their presentation like next week(?). I saw the new Eiyuden Chronicles game and wasn't very interested in it, but Rising seems more interesting so I'll look into it. 💯 I remember when you talked about Star Ocean Phantasy Star and its gameplay and it's been on my list ever since. 🔥
I love that you're not scared to recommend games that others would look down upon like Soul Hackers 2. Sometimes we just like to play games that are moderately fun and look fantastic with great art design. I'm willing to play through "mediocre" games that have a fantastic art style. That being said, I also love a lot of the compile heart games so take my opinion with a grain or salt lol
Do people look down on Soul Hackers 2? It's made by Atlus and is basically a cousin to some of the most beloved RPG's of all time. I"ve only played about an hour of it myself and enjoyed it. The art style and visual design is gorgeous.
Ringo from Soul Hacker's 2 is chef's kiss. I think Soul Hackers 2 is FAR better than it reviewed and that gamer's gave credit. Its so cheap physically that is a massive miss for its current price if not purchased (like $10 to $15). There are some real winners here and these games look PHENOMENAL on PS5. I've noticed that Final Fantasy VII Intergrade's North American physical is brutally expensive (around $100 now) but the PEGI version is around $40 which is a STEAL for what youre getting and very affordable. Thanks Ren for highlighting these!
i was thinking about this channel today and decided to drop in. Hope you're ok man, i thought maybe youtube was up to funny business. miss your takes man!
Slight correction the Persona turn based system, isnt the "press turn system." The press turn system is whats present in most SMT games. Persona's is a simplified version of this system.
ONE GAME , I DONT KNOW WHY, I BOUGHT A PS5 WITH NO GAMES TO BUY. KEEP THAT IN MIND THEY DESIGNED THIS DRIVE TO IMPROVE LOADING TIMES AND THATS ALL. I. KNOW.
Awesome video Ren, some great games on this list alot of people need to check out, dirt cheap too so you can’t go wrong at all with any of these choices! 🙌🏾
Great list, I have played through Scarlet Nexus and thought it was really bland - I especially didn't like it making me play through the whole damn game twice to get the full story!
Great list! 1 question though, when you say "at this price point", what price would that be? Just looked up soul hackers 2 on the ps store and it's $59.99
Great list, i just beat Soul Hackers 2, it got it for around £10 which was great, ill be honest i found the game overall incredibly underwhelming and the dungeons quite boring. It did have some good point but as the credits rolled it felt very mid to me.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is a masterpiece. A lot of people think this is a simple port, but it takes the simple mechanics of the original and takes the best aspects of the PSP game, fixing every issue either game has had. Rebalancing and overhauling all the mechanics the games had. One of the best early representations of the genre redefines what a modern TRPG should be with the remake.
I’ve been giving soul hackers 2 a shot recently after being hyped for it before, and then feeling disappointed after hearing about it trying to appease both persona and mainline smt fans, and yeah I can’t love it. It’s a good game, but it doesn’t deserve the soul hackers title imo. If it was its own thing then whatever but I highly recommend the original to anyone interested in the series. Still a decent game.
Integrade is not affordable physically. It is so strange they stopped printing that edition. I wanted to match up the games on tje shelf but unless the reprint, I will have to stick to my ps4 copy
After buying FF16 for full price and finishing it. I could say that People could play demo and decide for themselves, because it is a cool standalone game.
I hated Final Fantasy 16. It's just one long very very boring movie. There's little game play in it. You have to sit through massive cut scenes. The story isn't interesting. It's just a bad game overall.
Cant believe you put boring crap like FF16 and mobile shittyness like eiyuden in this list but not true jrpg masterpieces like Star ocean 2 REMAKE. Omg i cant believe this 😅😅

I find it funny just how different the prices can be around the world, most of these would still not be on the cheap side for me with my local stores!

Great list of games!!! The PS5 feels like it came out yesterday but it's actually got a decent amount of games for it already!
i was thinking about this channel today and decided to drop in. Hope you're ok man, i thought maybe youtube was up to funny business. miss your takes man!
Come on. You can't play Yakuza with English overdubs. The voice actors are so brilliant and iconic.
I agree in theory, but for Yakuza 7 specifically all the English VAs did an amazing job as well
Glad to see a 2024 video on the Channel Ren. Keep up the good work. Ps5 and Xbox have good games that u get.
Amazing how I own most of the games on your list. Including soon Undernauts which I just ordered and should be arriving today

Thanks for this list brother. I know I will be playing more jrpgs this year.
Rock on dude! Can’t wait to hear what you play!

Thanks so much dude!
Nice, I'm looking for an affordable PS5 first though 😅
I got mine at GameStop back in 2022. Expensive as Hell though.
Hope all is well, my man.
Great list, I have played through Scarlet Nexus and thought it was really bland - I especially didn't like it making me play through the whole damn game twice to get the full story!
Yeah I wouldn't recommend it. Also the writing was quite bad. Characters not behaving in a realistic way to events etc.
i'm not super excited about FF7Rib so Dragon's Dogma 2's prolly gonna be my favorite game of 2024.
Awesome list man, good stuff 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing a nice list of PS5 games.
Great list! 1 question though, when you say "at this price point", what price would that be? Just looked up soul hackers 2 on the ps store and it's $59.99
Physically it goes for $15-18$
A great video, but that "Sewy-ko-din" pronunciation made me wince a bit though lol.
Hey man everything fine? You have been out for months.. I hope you're okay. Hope to see you soon in a new video

I got Tales of Arise on Steam on Sale, its nice but feels little stale.

Weird. I picked it up a few weeks ago at half price
@@adam_antoise where and what country? Not in US
@@DSG0805 ah that sucks. I’m in Europe, got it for $30 equivalent. Still readily available too
Great games.
As long as it is not Final Fantasy, I'll buy it.
Your intro games name?
Soul hackers 2 or final fantasy 16.
I own them all
After buying FF XVI for full price and playing it I really think no one should pay more than 20$ for that. And I mean expansions included for 20$.
1000%
I can't even bring myself to finish it. I'm trying but damn. It's so boring.
@@viceanterra3yea final fantasy blows

Octopus travel 2
Octopath 2😊?? because that was good😊

Did you try Star Ocean Divine Force? Before 7 Rebirth, I wanted to play a jrpg with a party system, unlike FF 16, and I really enjoyed it.
