Rosie, this collection of plants is pure magic! One frequently sees combinations of two or three plants linked together by some characteristic but this grouping linked/ contrasted height, stem/flower colour, mass or airiness with that illusive progression of bloom that is so hard to achieve! You certainly “painted” a masterpiece here. Thank you. More like this, please…. ! Evie
Truly fantastic display. Stunning! You have such a gift for design. Thank you for sharing. I especially enjoyed how you talked through the reasons you selected each plant. And how they impact the overall design with their individual placements. It is so helpful❤
Rosy Such a good video. I’ve actually got 4 of the plants you’ve shown here in the bed ,it’s the first year for the alliums that I’m waiting to see in colour .
A good lesson in total combinations, each lovely & different. Having been given "carte blanche" to do the front garden in cooler colours, these are the perfect suggestions for it ! We will offset with evergreens in blue, lime and gold shades. It's a joy to paint the landscape gradually and watch it unfold. Thks.again,Rosie 🌞
I live in San Francisco, Zone 10b, which is far from a British garden, but I love your videos. I'm working on a transition to low-water, native California species, with a few low-water , grow-in-sand exceptions. How is climate change affecting English gardens?
Really interested in this border, what position in the garden would this combination cope with best my patch is full sun in the morning and shade from 2pm
Hello if you use the 3 x plants for each clump then the border would need to be 475cm x 240cm with the allium just as fillers. If you use one plant as each clump then it would reduce the border size to 225cm x 120cm
Hi many thanks for the advice on planting up the border. I have always struggled on what to plant in my borders and have struggled to get it right over the years
Would I be able to adapt this for containers? I have 3 x 35cm square pots slotted into a trough on my terrace, and am looking for something interesting to get through spring/summer seasons. Tks

Pure Artistry 🥰💜💖🥰.
As a plantaholic, I will be making a new border now oh dear 😅 thank you Rosy .
So helpful that you explain in detail why the combination looks so good.
Fantastic explanation of how to create a intereting border. Hope you will make some more!
This was a really helpful video. Thank you!
Beautiful set!
Really helpful, Rosie! Thanks.
Thank you so very much!! Such a beautiful combination!
You are a true artist! Beautiful
Advice on other colour borders coming soon?
Yes, there are more borders with their on unique themes on the way :)
Ps love these showing us how to order the border, please can we have more ideas like this ❤
This combination of purples is delightful. I have yellows together that just don't work. Suggestion for other colors welcome.
Could we please have a Blue themed border next 🙏❤Thank you in advance
This looks beautiful together, but i tought this Actea would prefer partial shade and moister soil?
All plants can be pushed out of the normal location. Yes these do need moisture retention or a good organic soil but also can take a bit more sun.
@@rosyhardy18 Thank you so much 😊
What is the length and width of this border? I have along thin border so I would like to repeat a grouping like this.

Hi I love this kind of border, I have tried for years but never seems right. What size border would these plants cover

It would be a bit tight in that space as these plants do get quite large. One plant per pot would work.
❤
You can and do arrange flowers. To spectacular effect. Just you don't put them in a vase...
Zone 5, but not the city.
