I e-bike a lot and I recommend you go further south so there’s less cart traffic. ❤ There are more paths that are walk/bike so it’s safer. The ONLY close calls I’ve had involve golf carts. Which based on this video you experienced as well. Car traffic isn’t scary. It’s the super ‘in a hurry’ golf carts that are VERY dangerous in my experience. Also…..can I kindly recommend you stop at stop signs? Whether they are painted on the path or a big red sign….you should stop. It’s safer ❤

What a beautiful ride! I see both carts and your bikes on the multimodal trails but I’d heard there are some places bicycling is not permitted. Can you confirm? My husband and I have recumbent trikes and we wonder if they’ll work on those tight trails!
There might be somewhere they are not permitted, but we do not know of them. We can ride the bikes wherever we want to go. They are permitted on all streets
Too bad there's no grocery store you can get to by bike, great to get a ride in and also do whatever you need to do. Have seen some people go flying when they hit a curb. I used to ride about 1.5 K mi/month on a non-electric bike and we can ride anywhere except freeway and I have rode I-5 around Camp Pendleton as well as the I-10 when we had a critical mass takeover of the freeway. I still rode on oxygen until I passed out, but I really miss it. I was going to get an e-bike but I live up about 9 steep stairs and can't carry 60+ lbs. Sadly there's a lot of people who don't want to share the road with cyclists and sometimes go out of their way to intimidate riders. ❤❤❤ Gizmo's❤❤❤ pad is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! There is a Walmart market place within 2 miles of our house, we could easily ride there. I would be a little nervous about leaving it outside while shopping however.
There are many grocery stores you can get to by bike. ❤ I go to Publix all the time on my bike and or cart. You can go anywhere a car can go on a bike. The MMPs should be safer than the roads but unfortunately they are not. Cart drivers (in my experience) are so much more scary than cars. Anyway….there’s a bunch of groceries available by BIKE ❤
Pleas reconsider adopting a rescue dog from a close shelter. You can select an older dog who has been house broken, “fixed,” etc. They are overloaded with loving and snuggly pooches. You guys are super pet parents. God asks of us all to be good stewards of His animals. You certainly did that with Gizmo. Please reconsider. ❤❤❤ Thanks, Linda🐾🐾❤️

You can park it where you like, but of course there's always the possibility of theft. We cannot imagine a fellow villager stealing it, but there are lots of people in and around here.

I loved the ride. Last summer on our second lifestyle visit we drove that bridge every day. Gizmo’s bench is in a perfect location. We’re coming down in June this year. Tom and I will enjoy sitting there. We lost our toy poodle , Pepe’ this year. He had been part of our family for 16 + years. It was a very sad time in our lives. Thanks again for a fun video. Only reason baby I’m asking because I know someone who rode his every day and battery wore down after 2 years I thought that was fast but maybe cause he used it every day he’s saving to replace them his bike has two batteries? Gizmos bench is cute so is Linda’s bike she looked so little on it…that golf cart lady was out of control that big box on Lindas bike Linda’s battery?
No that is a basket to carry things. Her battery is not too large at all and sits right under the bicycle seat. We have had our other ebikes for about 4 years and the batteries are still great.

I had never even considered a three-wheeler before, but Linda has changed my mind. Being a shorty has always made cycling more difficult for me. Seeing Linda manage it with more confidence and no worries about stopping and not being able to get a foot on the ground was great! Seeing Gizmo’s future bench was beautiful. Y’all chose a perfect spot. It will be so nice to sit, look at the view, and reflect on your days with your furry friend and your lives together.

I love this video. It’s a nice bit of escapism, a simple bike ride in some beautiful scenery. It’s nice to see a place that’s somewhat accommodating of cyclists that want to ride off-road too.
Love your video. I am only 5’2” and can’t wait for Linda’s video on the trike. I haven’t rode a bike in 60 years and I don’t balance as well as I did at 10 years old. Maybe Santa will bring it for me at Christmas or my 70th Birthday. I can wish.

There are walking/riding trails that don't allow carts, But we have to travel quite a ways on streets to get to them.

Great video, Jerry and Linda. The sound was so clear that I thought you added audio as a voice over when you started. The camera was low, but it was still an excellent ride and the views are lovely. I love that Linda got a real life shout out! I truly appreciate how conscientious you always are about safety whenever you do a bike or cart ride.
I had never even considered a three-wheeler before, but Linda has changed my mind. Being a shorty has always made cycling more difficult for me. Seeing Linda manage it with more confidence and no worries about stopping and not being able to get a foot on the ground was great!
Seeing Gizmo’s future bench was beautiful. Y’all chose a perfect spot. It will be so nice to sit, look at the view, and reflect on your days with your furry friend and your lives together.

I love this video. It’s a nice bit of escapism, a simple bike ride in some beautiful scenery. It’s nice to see a place that’s somewhat accommodating of cyclists that want to ride off-road too.
Love your video. I am only 5’2” and can’t wait for Linda’s video on the trike. I haven’t rode a bike in 60 years and I don’t balance as well as I did at 10 years old. Maybe Santa will bring it for me at Christmas or my 70th Birthday. I can wish.

Always enjoy the rides! You found a beautiful spot for the bench with the view of the water. Seems like a lot of golf cart traffic on your ride...some very impatient people!!
