Hourly Vs Flat Rate for Ongoing Video Production

If you are wondering if you should charge a flat rate for ongoing video production, or if it's better to charge hourly, then this video is for you!
When it comes to charging hourly, one pro to consider is CHARGING HOURLY IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD. However, over time you will become more efficient in your work, taking you less time to do the same tasks. Therefore, if you charge hourly, you will actually MAKE LESS MONEY OVER TIME. Efficiency will work against you in the long run.
Because of this reason, I PREFER A FLAT RATE FOR VIDEO PRODUCTION. Every project is uniquely different, so find out what the project requires, and DESIGN A FLAT FEE AROUND THE DELIVERABLES, not your time.
Flat rate, in my opinion, is EVEN MORE SIMPLE FOR THE CLIENT because they know exactly what they are spending upfront. Flat rate is also MORE PROFITABLE FOR YOU as become more efficient in your work! How cool is that?
