    Love these cars. My great aunt Frances owned exact same car back in 1996. She died in 2003 at age 92 and car only had 13000 miles when she died. Daughter still has car and it only has 30000 miles and still looks like new.

    I just love these b-body monsters...powerful and reliable engine, as long as you keep an eye on the water pump so that it doesn't start to leak on the distributor and make a huge mess... In my opinion this was the last real Cadillac, these new ones are just like any other car out there.

    I had a 93 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham from a funeral home, garaged its whole life, wonderfully taken care of. One of my favorite cars. Unfortunately I live in Minnesota and these things were completely awful to drive in the winter, 1 inch of snow and you'd be fish tailing all over the road, have to break a mile in advance, if you were unlucky to stop on a hill because of a stop light or stop sign, good luck getting going again.
    Even with that flaw I loved this car.

    I had my brand new fully equipped with ASTROROOF & trailer tow package. This car has it too, that's why it has the fan shroud. Lower gear final ratio. Mine came with a limited slip. I, changed the tires to vogue tyres. Mine was a grey metalic. I sure miss these type of Cadillac. NJOY.

    Heavy duty cooling. Had it in my 1996 caprice with LT1. It was almost overkill (the electric fan was still there). Drove that car for 3 years and put just under 100k on it. Even in severe circumstances the engine would never get hot enough for the mechanical clutch to engage. The electric fan was always enough. In NYC and Philadelphia traffic for hours in summer heat. Weird cars for sure. It was uncomfortably powerful. You have to seat yourself to adjust to the instant torque no matter how soft you are on the pedal otherwise it will snap your neck every time. Took me a while to get used to because seats are for comfort and not for G forces. Lol.

    These were nice but I prefer the previous body style much more. But I would take this car over any new Cadillac any day. I have several different Cadillac's years ranging from 1961-2005 and I love every one of them. Cadillac and Lincoln should both still be making big luxury cars like they always have. The last Real Lincoln was the Town Car and the Last Real Cadillac was the Deville or DTS model both cars ending in 2011.

    NEVER use rubber undercoating! It will trap the moisture and destroy a car! It'll Look fine shiny black and clean, but underneath it'll rot really bad you undercoat a car Like that and the frame will be rotten with holes in under three years. Always use a water depressant spray. Yeah it's gotta be re,sprayed every year and a half but it's worth it.

    That lighting problem is probably a problem with the CCM (Central Control Module). The interesting part about these cars is the trouble codes for the ECM/CCM/HVAC/AIR BAG/ABS can all be read by the Electronic Climate Control Panel.

    Love these cars but the only problem is that these knuckle heads who think raising them up and sticking large wheels are cool. So many of these cars ruined by those guys. I wanted one really bad but ended up getting the BMW 740il. Most of those nuts can't afford to modify or pay for maintenance on a BMW.

    Nice find! Its a LT1! I knew a guy who had a turbo on his 95 fleetwood once. 22mpg is lucky for these cars on today's gas! My old 95 impala SS used to get 27mpg on the highway in the early 2000's before the new fuel gasohol standards were put into effect.

    Although it was five years ago, it's a pity you did not fully research the car-- from the shots of the engine compartment and RPO sticker on the underside of the trunk lid that was a "rare as hen's teeth" Option V4P car with the HD suspension and 3.42 rear gears which weren't available from the factory on the Big Body Impalas and Buick Roadmasters.

  • @94fleetwood49
    @94fleetwood49 8 років тому +5

    No offense but that car was in bad shape, especially all the dings, scratches, and major discoloration(especially) in the seats. A major concern is the side controls for the seats you see here are for the "base" Fleetwood. Whereas the Brougham package came with total of 4 buttons on the side for both driver/passenger. The center console is also divided for the top cover and inside in-between the front seats there.
    The previous owner must have switched out the seats, check the vin as the I wouldn't doubt this was a crappy setup job they tried for the car. I own a 94 Fleetwood Brougham in much cleaner, near-flawless condition compared to this "California" car, and I stay in Michigan. Just goes to show you it depends on the owners themselves, not the 1-2 owner cars.

    • @TeeroyHammermill
      @TeeroyHammermill 8 років тому +3

      +fleet wood No this a Brougham. 95-96's had single stage lumbar not 3 stage lumbar like the 93-94's. Base Fleetwood had no lumbar adjustment and no seat heat as well as a different stitch pattern for the seats. 96's used that simplified center console you described.
