I feel Irish will be more suited to a player who likes playing objectives and holding down buildings. Plus I think this will encourage more squad play.
Let’s call it “creative” :) To be honest, a lot is fair game to me as long as it’s not exploiting something like holes in the map etc. The only thing I can think about that annoys me is spawn camping base spawns when there’s no other option, but that’s a flawed game/map design anyway.
Regarding trolling: in BF2, the Spec Ops class was SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to troll. The kit had C4 so you could go to the enemy spawn and destroy commander assets (artillery; UAV trailer) and interfere with vehicles and planes at airstrips. Indeed, BF was designed for trolling. Because BF is not a brainless FPS like other games. There are more dimensions to it than pure FPS gameplay. Logistics interference/base attack (what some call trolling) is key. That’s what war truly is. Don’t like it? Go play Fortnite.
You went a step further and became too cringe. Calm down, bf isn't a sim. On the other hand, just fucking clear an area before you get in a heli/jet. If you die to "trolls" it's honestly your own fault. People get beaten by an inefficient strategy/move and they call it trolling because of their egos that don't let them see the reality of the situation. That happens in every game, I've been playing Siege for half a decade, it happens all the time.

im kind of worried about the specialist abilities being too good to the point of being annoying.. there has been some games that got ruined by OP shield mechanics

I think those things won't matter. There are so much happening on the map that the little shield won't matter. Those things are only OP if integrated on infantry only gunfights like warzone.

As for as adding my variety, personally I've never had an issue with the existing system and have always thought it was one of the core parts of a battlefield game so I just can't see the need to change an existing system that worked and no one was complaining about

Even from the rocket the heli might not be snipe-able bc if the heli is on top of the rocket construction building then it in theory is larger than the rocket and it's support tower so it might not be snipe-able.

It's funny how DICE writes a statement saying you can and will be banned for taking advantage of any broken parts of the game. "Because we suck at QA and testing, if there's any glitches and you use them, you get punished for our failures."
i played in the alpha tests and helicopters didn't spawn empty nor on top of the hanger. They spawned in the air when you click the Heli spawn icon. they could've changed that for the beta tho. (and full game)
The literally put C4(C5) on a quad bike and drove it off a building into an enemy chopper therefore I think its safe to presume where not going to get banned for the like
for the camping thing with the turrets and stuff i feel like you are forgetting that there are vehicles in this game that really dont care about your turret or trophy system

But stealing enemy heli/jet from the enemy base in BF3 is the funniest thing for me. So I hope they kinda keep it.
As long as people don’t use that tactic to camp in corners the game should be fine but then yet again we can just drive a tank through it
