It's not talent its consistency
BATTLEFIELD every year has changed the movement, gunplay , vehicle combat. When in reality they should have left all that alone from bf3 and just added customization and little tweaks to the game not change CORE MECHANICS that's soooo idiotic and now I see why they have bad player retention bunch of idiots in suits screwing up the game

@@Deeznutz581 yes it feels like cod. i don't like being killed by someone parachuting and shooting me at the same time. AND I HATE that you can grapple around the map, jump and slide and shoot at the same time. so boring, unrealistic and weird. it feels like the game is about moving and running around rather than shooting and tactics. i got a nice spot and a superman is shooting me from 200m in the air while parachuting. you also run like sonic
The genius of the BF1 arial combat is that the planes can be damaged by small arms fire. So since they are easily countered by simply shooting at them they can in return have a buffed weaponry. Thus, in the end, both flying them and fighting against them is satisfying. If you know how to pick your moments you will be deadly, if u don't you will die

BFV tanks were great. Many types tanks and different shells to choose from.
Nah i think bf4 did better with air vehicles and bfv with tanks.

Since BF3 this has been the way for me. Dice has made some incredible games, warts and all.

Yeah the minigun is TRASH on the 2042 jet’s just like the snipers needs like double the bullet velocity
Personally I want the falling mechanic when you slow down to be removed it makes strafing practically impossible
Infinity it only slows you down when you have your weapon drawn, which is pretty cool to me and makes sense as you can’t steer to strafe with a weapon in your 2 hands

The environment scale on this game trumps 2042...sadly. This is much more immersive.
Bf1 is incredibly immersive, albeit not realistic in the slightest. But I do appreciate what 2042 is trying to do

@@jAmzye I wouldn't say that it was shit gunplay, but I will admit that the gunplay may have lacked fun factor due to the time frame. I had the same issue with finding fun with the array of old guns, but the structure of BF1 was well done.
What I would have been thrilled about was a BF1 framework on BF2042! That would have been a solid win.
@@Modupehsautowork13 Man, you say that about the BF1 framework but dude I am so fucking hyped to have 1942 content again, and especially two of the less appreciated maps. El Alamein is an amazing tank/air battle map and I can't wait to play it on Frostbite.
@@knuckle1493 Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm def hyped to have some more contentl. The old Wars were exhausting to me though. I didn't get into BF until Bad Company, so I have yet to play a series like 1942.
I'll prob end up picking up the game, but I can't deny that immersion from previous titles like BF3 and BF1 will be missed. Also, hoping the sound is adjusted bc it's pretty weak right now.
Ahh, the BF1... Such climatic game and IMHO the most solid BF that didn't need too much to be really amaizing and literally the best BF game.
Good AA gunner can destroy a bomber in a 1v1 situation or even snipe people with it. I used to do that a lot. The trick is really simple - control your fire to keep the accuracy and to not overheat the AA. Quite rare thing to see (sadly).
M1918 MG with scope is a true pain for the planes. It's the most broken, OP and stupid weapon in the game that can harass enemy planes (or even snipers) from all across the map, preventing from repairing and coming back to the battlefield. The RoF is good enough to not lose control with pretty much pin-point accuracy and very long time to overheat. I've been messing with planes like that, hitting them far from the max ranges of AA (talking about 3,5KM+).

I've been playing so much BF1 lately and would love to see more of your BF1 content. It's amazing to watch you fly those skies!
Flying in BFV was the best.
I honestly think that BFV generally speaking had the best vehicle gameplay of all battlefield games. It required alot more strategy because of the non automatic resupply and you could attack multiple tanks without having to wait for your ammo to reload like it is in BF4.

I agree, mainly about the flying experience.
The tanks were a bit weird but that’s generally because of bugs and glitches, rather than design.
I was in the top 0.2% of pilots in BF5. Better flying than any BF game ever.
But honestly, talking about 2042... the flying, at least in the beta, feels absolutely shambolic. It’s feels fucking terrible. The helicopters are tolerable at most, but even they feel completely off.
BF5 dogfighting was brilliant. There were so many hidden tactics that you could do, hell, even mind-games that are borderline from psychology lol

I think when they add an attack jet in 2042 its gonna be cool
I’m not sure they will, F35 is meant to be a ‘do it all’ plane in real life (whether it actually can in real life is another story), and is meant to phase out the A10.. so if they’re following that then maybe there won’t be distinct “attack” jets as such. But I hope there is.
@@peterallely5417 BF4 had an F35 and they still used A10s, wich means we'll also probably get the SU-25 Frogfoot

Air combat was truly something else in BF1, perhaps a bit to powerful at certain points of the game’s life (looking at you pre nerfed fighter darts) but really enjoyable nonetheless. My time for all bf4 air vehicles probably equals to my time in the fighter alone in bf1
loved playing in the Attacker Planes on BF1 - I basically did Stuka Dive Bombing Tactics with it; too bad its almost impossible to do that in BFV with the actual Stukas :(

Im hoping that missing classes of jets is just a beta thing. I miss having certain planes being good at dog fights, others are good at ground attack but bad at dogfighting etc. having an f22 or f35 for dog fighting, but an a10 for ground attack would be super cool

Battlefield 1 was one of the best BF games, really fun vehicle (especially plane) gameplay, incredible atmosphere, sound design, music. Just so much better than BF6 right now...

honestly flying in Bf1 was so comfortable to use and in 2042 flying the planes especially the Helis i always crash mostly with helis 🤣🤣

As an (EX) geforce now user of 8< months, it's definitely worth it. The only reason I quit is because it didnt have certain games I wanted to play; If they expand the game library... albeit by a lot, It'll be an extremely good contender to normal PCs

Yup I agree, I hope the planes go something more like BF1 or 5, and that the heli’s fly like BF4. Floaty effect on the 3rd person camera on aircraft is really too strong - this effect is especially problematic when you’re rolling, it makes your heli look like it’s on an invisible pendulum rather than rolling on its axis - ohhhh nooooot good.

Playing 2042 all day then going back to bf1 and Bfv is such a night and day experience 2042 is not a battlefield game at all

BF2042 shouldn’t take anything from BF1 or BFV. BF4 had the best vehicle gameplay by far and that’s what they should be basing it on
