I appreciate the extreme honesty here about how easy it is to get fed up with subpar classes and players who just don't care. From my experience being willing to kick players or force them to reroll is something that a lot of officers bring up once an expansion is finished and they are looking back at what they should've done differently, so I tend to agree with the general idea you're throwing out there, but I also think it is important to remember that this is a bit of a slippery slope. Things like loot distribution and general player happiness beyond "are we clearing raid quick and effectively" are fairly important in my mind and when you end up with like 20 warrior you run into a lot of additional problems that weren't there to begin with. People get pissy because there is less good loot to go around or, more importantly, you start running into serious recruitment problems and issues with player behavior. In a guild that is 50% mongo-brained dps warriors I have found that people start getting obsessed with numbers and loot to the exclusion of more effective metrics of success. You start drawing in loot divas and making divas out of people who weren't previously, all whilst recruitment dries up since people want a group where they have a fair shot at getting items and doing damage. How in the world is a fresh warrior going to make inroads into a group filled to bursting with moderately geared dps-brained players after all? Again, I agree with your points mostly, I just think people should be a bit cautious when it comes to this sorta thing. When it comes to bad players or players that don't show up I think you should just kick them whenever you can, since they'll always be an issue though. Great video though, dig the channel theme.
One thing I've noticed about WoW Players, in general, is that troublemakers usually stay troublemakers. Few players will change their attitude and character to fit into the group. It's better to remove problem players sooner rather than later.
raiding content is the exact type of content to be a tryhard in, the "ranked" mode of WoW. WoW classic class balance is shit so some classes have to take the bench
People acting like raiding in classic is some sort of arduous undertaking. Barring AQ40 and The last Push in Naxx, Classic is residentsleeper. Who gives a shit, Just pick a class and have fun. 90% of a raid group in MC and BWL are dead weight droolers anyway.
As an officer in a guild that just had our 5th anniversary, 'having a vision' is key. A vision or setting a goal each week to achieve as a guild is critical to sustaining motivation through long, arduous farm periods.
i do feel a lot in your position at times, problem is to keep up the vision when it's hard to find replacements to keep going cause that iteration of wow is not really flocking with people to begin with. It's just hard to balance things out in the end
from a player perspective, I think people need to be honest about what they are willing to bring to the table and accept the limitations from there. When Naxx dropped in classic, I knew I wasn't willing to be ready to raid and have consumables and spec properly when I was starting to be more interested in aoe grinding with a second account and levelling new characters. I was happy to be benched and I supported the guild with materials. When I was fully into AQ loot, I made the sacrifice, stayed fire specced, and fully accepted that I had to learn my place in an ignite squad. I was lucky though, Grobbulus had a lot of excellent PuG raid leaders and so it was easy to be casual without having a terrible experience. I might be on Nightslayer soon :P but Ill be a shitty class for raiding so I guess I wont see you :P
People not giving a shit is the biggest problem by far. A motivated leadership + motivated raid team can solve most other problems. The worst is when the leadership doesn't give a fuck but the guild still has a few people who do care but who have no power. That shit is miserable.
I'm confused why you call yourself a sweat when you are trying to clear the content in the easiest way possible with full consumes and buffs with optimized groups. How is this sweaty? What effort is being made using the easiest method. You're curling a 5lb dumbell this way. Cut out those 20 warriors and you are actually sweating. You know who was actually sweating? The 40 pally clears. You all are bowling with bumpers lol

I have fucked this up like 10 times in the past. Its such a problem. Def gotta remove idiots fast
Such a sad tryhard mentality. Just take all classes and kill the boss 30 seconds slower..

@@HitPointPersonal Yeah keep telling yourself that, and sucking the fun out of the game

@@HitPointPersonal no one cares how fast you clear raids in a 20 year old game

def feel like your ten minute mark about people not caring is like 70% of raiders even. esp if weekend raiding.

god i wish i could just play rogue and not be pressured to play warrior but that’s why i dont join sweaty guilds
Well the good news is I heard the 15/25 man caps got reverted to 20/40 but good video!
pick the most consistent, loyale and low maintenance
that’s an easy situation for me as a raider: I’m happy to be the backup
great video!

Kick the people you like the least :)

here because of max but i wanna hear you yap!
why would not having 30 warriors mean you can’t clear?
You can clear with almost any comp. Better comps make everything much easier though
