❤❤❤ love Korean skincare! And just started using goodal vitamin c a few weeks ago and also fell in love with it!!! The smell wakes me up and is so refreshing and satisfying! I want to try the Pyunkang Yul spray now! And some other products you mentioned; they all look so nourishing! I struggled with acne from 14 yrs - 30 yrs old 😭 and still have texture and acne scars so I totally understand your feelings of acne. You have beautiful skin by the way ❤ have fun in Korea! 🙌🏼😄
The Goodal serum is such a gem ✨ Thank you so much for watching and for sharing all of your skincare wisdom and experience with me 💛 Learning how to take care of my skin and body has been an enlightening journey so far!
Hey, loved the video. As a guy who barely knows much about skincare, I was wondering if you could break down the steps you usually do to apply these skincare products in order?
Hey! Thank you so much for watching - so happy to hear you loved it. It honestly makes my day to know that this is helpful☺️ To answer your question, I like to generally go from thinnest to thickest so: 1. Toner/Essence 2. Serum 3. Eye Cream (I don’t use one, but probably should 🤭) 4. Moisturizer 5. Sunscreen In the AM, I will cleanse before with something light like water or a water based cleanser (this helps esp if you have sensitive skin!) and in the PM I’ll double cleanse (usually with an oil cleanser, followed by a milky cleanser or foam cleanser). If you don’t wear makeup, I think you could probably get away with just using one cleanser! 1-2 times a week you can also use an exfoliator, but again if you have sensitive skin, you just want to be careful not to over exfoliate, and rather focus on really hydrating the skin! Sorry, this is a lot of text but I hope this helps 🙏 Let me know if you have other questions! Thank you so much again for watching and leaving your comment 🤗
😢 I wanted the goodal vitamin c to work for me so bad!!! My hunt for a good vitamin c that doesn’t make me breakout or get irritated is still on. So far only the melano cc is the only one I can use. Great video!
Ah man! I am so sorry to hear it didn't work as well for you :/ It can be such a journey to find the products that work well for our skin since everyone's skin is so unique! Especially for us sensitive skin people! It took me a while to find some of these, but when you find the one, you'll know! We got this! I hope you can find yours soon 💛 I've never heard of the melano cc - I'll have to check it out! Thank you so much for watching 🫶
@@maizenlifeThank you for sharing!! Ive been looking everywhere for korean skincare for dry acne prone skin. Could you list out what you use for morning routine, night routine, and what you use maybe once a month etc?
Ah I’m so sorry I missed your comment! So happy to hear the video was helpful 🫶 I just uploaded a morning skincare routine to my Shorts and will upload the night routine soon ~ My current AM routine: - Skinfood Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pads - Skin1004 Centella Ampoule - Goodal Vita -C Serum - Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel - Dr. Jart Cicapair Cream or Pyunkang Yul Calming Cream - Glow Recipe Watermelon Dew Drops PM Routine: - Manyo Oil Cleanser - Pyunkang Yul Low Ph Foam Cleanser or Isntree Yam Root Cleanser - Dr. Jart Cicapair Serum - Dr. Jart Sleepair Mask 1 or 2x a week: - Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel and then I’ll follow with the Skinfood calming water pads as a face mask to calm my skin again. I hope this helps!! ua-cam.com/users/shortsYhUhcsMezlU?feature=share
Thank you for the reviews!❤ I am looking for a face mist to use throughout the day. I have dry skin but get pimples on my forehead lately. Also, its dry and windy where I live and my skin dries out during the day because of it. I am split between haruharu bamboo mist and the pyunkang yul calming moisture mist. Which one would you suggest to use during the day???
Hi hi! Oooh that is a great question! I have only tried the one from Pyunkang Yul and really love it! It’s super moisturizing and refreshing and feels very clean. If you have dry skin, you might also like to use a thicker moisturizer during the dry and windy months as well to seal in the hydration from your skincare products.
Dahhh thank you so much! I've actually always wanted to talk about skincare since I love it so much, but only recently mustered up the courage to do so....so your comment means so much! Definitely more to come 🫶 I have a Korean skincare haul video coming in the next few weeks too 🤗
@@maizenlife it was very well done, you explained each product and ingredients, visuals great, and that's coming from a UA-camr skincare video addict. 🤪🤣
Me too!! It was the first Korean skincare brand I tried back in high school and it wasn’t until last year that I started using some of their stuff again. Their carotene toner pads and bee propolis serum are my faves atm!
Dahh so happy this video found you 🫶 My go-to has been the Pyunkang Yul Moisture Barrier Cream: amzn.to/3NUVvFO It's just super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling very calm. I just got back from Korea and picked up the Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Cream: amzn.to/4bhYOB2 . It has a fragrance free, no-frills, thicker formulation that is also great for sensitive skin (especially in the winter)! I'll have to give an update once I've used it for a few weeks, but so far I love it! I hope this helps ❤️
I'm a teenager, and I struggle with lots of dark spots from the past cause I was obsessed with popping pimples do you know any serums that would help?(I also have a dry sensitive skin type). It would mean a lot to me if you'd reply!!🥰
Hi hi! I am so sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much for asking - I can totally understand how frustrating it is to deal with those dark spots after! I do have to say that since I'm not a dermatologist, I can't give advice here, but I can say what has worked for me. I really like to use a Vitamin C serum for brightening. My skin also really seems to respond well to Azelaic Acid (it's a little pricey but I have seen a huge difference using Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster. It also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin!), and also for preventative measures I always wear sunscreen (Isntree's Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel is my go-to for dry, sensitive skin!). And finally, time :) I know it's definitely not the word we like to hear, as an impatient person myself 😅 But I was just looking at a photo from six months ago of my skin and I had so many dark spots that I thought would never heal. But they got so much lighter over time and I actually forgot about those spots! It will get better, my friend 🫶 I hope this helps! Sending you love!
@@maizenlifeHello!!!!💕, Thank you so much! I can’t thank you enough you’re the only person who has ever replied to me, and no worries for the late reply wasn’t late at all I’m sure you were busy! But once again thank you so much for replying and taking your time for even recommending sunscreen🩷I’ll definitely be purchasing all the products!💗💗
Yesss! I have so much to share 🤭 I got sick coming back from Korea though and it's been taking much longer than expected to feel better :/ But I should have the first video from the Korea series up by this Saturday! I hope you like it ~~
I’m 17 y/o and I’m suffering from acne, now I know it’s harmons but I really want clear skin and I have super sensitive dry acne prone skin, can I use these products? Please help me it would be grateful🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hi hi! Ah, I definitely can relate - it is really difficult dealing with these changes in our skin. I first want to say, since I’m not a dermatologist, I’m unable to prescribe anything (and if you have the means, a dermatologist may be able to give you more specific suggestions for your skin). But I can share what has worked for me! Having skincare with ingredients like centella asiatica/cica were great for helping me calm irritation. I also found that with a good moisturizer, my skin stayed more hydrated which in turn has been helping build a stronger skin barrier leading to less sensitive, less acne prone skin. But I saw the most improvement in my skin when I started taking a holistic approach to my health, realizing that the skin is a window to what’s going on in the body. Reducing my stress with meditation and adding things in my day that bring me joy, and having healthier stress management really helped. Incorporating more movement by going on 40 minute walks also helped with both reducing stress and my hormone regulation. Drinking more water and slowly introducing more probiotics foods like kimchi and natto, along with fibrous food options also played a part in helping calm my skin. All of this, in combination with the skincare I mentioned has helped my skin barrier start to rehydrate, strengthen, and rebuild. It’s easier to say and hard to remember but, it really is a process, and perfect results may not come as quickly as we want. Learning to thank my skin for showing me how I can better take care of myself helps me be more gracious to its changes. Our bodies really are amazing. I really hope this helps a little bit! We got this! Sending you love 🫶
This is a great video. I've been looking for a proper skincare routine for sensitive skin, but nothing was clear as this video is. Is this Vitamin C safe for sensitive skin? Every single vitamin C Serum makes my eyes swell immediately.
Oh I am so happy to hear how this video found you and so grateful the info came out clearly! It really has been a journey finding the right products for my skin so I hope this can be helpful! Goodal does note that their products are safe for sensitive skin, and that a suitability test was completed for the Vita -C on sensitive skin. It has done wonders for my sensitive skin, but since everyone’s skin is different I would recommend trying a small patch to see how your skin and eyes react! Wishing you the best of luck 💕
