Used this technique & it worked perfect ! Thank you! & for those who don’t have a shop vac you can just go to those car washes that have the free vacuum & it’ll do the job! That’s what I did.
Two tips that will massively improve the process: Replace the water with vinegar and use a scrub brush to agitate it briefly before vacuuming. It could be improved even further if you smear a little bit of baking soda over the seat beforehand and have a second sprayer with plain water to saturate while vacuuming for a makeshift extractor.
@@brittanycurrency2941 Only for a certain amount of time. Vinegar evaporates, leaving no scents behind. Took about three days for my car to lose it's vinegar scent, but it could take longer if you use too much vinegar or you are in a colder climate.
@@DominicI1 With the vinegar mixture, do you still use the dish soap? I'm thinking of giving this a try and I want to make sure I understand your advice.
@@cedricadaniels7983 Yes, I still used dish soap. The vinegar by itself can help dissolve certain minerals and make it easier for a stain to separate (especially if the stain has been there for a long time). The soap is equally important though, as it bonds to the oils and sticks to particles, giving the vacuum something to suction onto and pull out. Hope this helps!
Chris, our 2005 Jeep Liberty had stains when we bought used some time ago. Tried vehicle upholstery/carpet cleaners, to no avail. Just saw this today then ran out and tried it. Took some work, but BOOM! gone. THANK YOU!

Right. Hopefully, you've not bled on your seats, but if you have, hot water will set that blood stain. Use only cold water with it. I know. I used to work in a hospital. Lots of cold water will eliminate blood stains quite well.

Blimey! This works for me! The seats on my 2001 VW T4 California Generation campervan were disgusting. Generation edition upholstery is pale green and grey. You only have to look hard at it to get a stain. I've tried all sorts of foam car upholstery cleaners over the last two years and all they did was spread the stain.
