"How to milk the playerbase without them feeling they are being milked. And how to do it with the least effort." My gut feeling tells me this is their main aim. Overall, I believe it's prudent NOT to have high hopes as far as ZOS' promises are concerned.
so i am just going to assume the season pass is going to cost money, unless its going to be like FO76(with a free and paid variable). my problem is if it is a paid pass what happens to eso plus cus if they think for 1 second i will be paying for eso + and a season pass they out there mind. i know i always buy the new chapters but thats 1 time a year and i tend to buy the 30$ one and every 3 or so years buy the deluxe to get all the crap i missed from earlier chapters. if they are going to try to charge like 30$ every 3-6 months im not doing it there are a ton of good games coming out lets see what they do and then i will choose what to do. but yeah i rly hope this doesnt turn into a money grab as of 2024 ESO has made 2 billion dollars off its playerbase so lets hope they arent pushing for 3 billion by 2025 xd
@ 7:50 you mention season passes and refer to destiny 2 which i dont play this game since they decided the dlc i bought was no longer mine and they deleted it from my purchases so i quit that game, but yeah fallout 76 has this too and that is a bethesda game im sure zenimax is going to do it too they prob are the reason they want to do this. the way fo76 season passes work is like a gameboard u play the game and u slowly unlock stuff there is weekly and daily challenges and there is a free and paid version if u dont have the fallout pass you can not collect the paid stuff if this is the plan then i guess it would be ok just because for 15$ a month the craft bag alone is worth it and u get some crowns and other perks so if this portion of their pass is eso+ based i think it wouldnt be a bad bonus though i am sure some people will be upset about it and tbh my 1st commennt i was on the fence but as someone who has been playing since beta i can say if this is how it works it will just be an added bonus. though i will say fallout 76 does have the fomo problem where if u miss a season u kinda miss stuff i rly hope these seasons are kinda like the events kinda like the new life event though they are boring when uve done them there is always a chance later to do them. i rly dont like the idea that i might be stuck only playing eso just cus i dont wanna miss out on something. anyways we gotta w8 and see how they deliver it.
Thank you for you detailed explanation. I wont mind if it pans out the way as you have described as well. I am no longer an eso plus subscriber. I just pvp. As long as they fix cryo and ic, plus the occasional new content, then i am good.
I don't like the Cyrodiil thing, it would be easier to not stack healing and limit it at one tick per skill before morph and limit cross healing to group play
What does it means? It means maintenance mode for a while and dead game. Anyone can see the future who has seen the last years development and game has now the lowest amount of players since 2018.
When I log into the the game I want it to work the lag spikes are so bad in cyrodil it’s unplayable always talking about what they gonna do but yet games still runs the same
This. I hate it when my pvp gameplay gets ruined by their spaghetti code. The human reaction time and gaming experience does not matter because you will freeze up once certain players direct their dps on you.
I will continue to enjoy and practice my pvp skills (and much practice is needed) for at least the 1st part of 2025, and then put my hopes into Ashes of Creation as a possible successor to ESO. I am really crossing my fingers for this, and hope that any skills I acquire in ESO will translate to AoC when the time comes.
I don't think these changes are about making less efforts to improve the game. It's just that they need to prioritize different things to improve the game. So, no, no chance that this is the beginning of the end.
It will all depend on the implementation and cost: if the season passes are a bit expensive and not having it locks you out of all new content; that would be horrible and eso would be on a path to selfdestruction for moneygrabs.
That's the way ESO 2024 was the last year of it's old passa. Now form 2025 ESO will be looking awkward. If there is no new chapters and seasons that means the new content will be worse and cosmetics will get unrealistic in comparison to previous years It will be same shit like in Call of Duty Or some sort of we need to pay for each season let's say $70 xD
The game is going on soft maintenance mode. Despite the remaining fanboys arguing with me since the last 6 months. They screwed up so much since that huge disgusting update 35 IIRC. Ever since then the game has been going in a deathspiral.
Developers only support blue and red ball groups who struck with azz to azz and hug the pillars and resource towers 😂. Devs don’t care about remaining players. Anything that works good on solo cyrodiil players they nerf instantly. should change some ball head group supporter devs first 😂
how am i piss off & i dont even play this game anymore i guess i was hoping they would fix some of the issues but nahh make everyone use the same skills TF creating builds and trying new things is like half the pvp fun.
ESO will become fantasy COD game. Fancy fantasy distribution for shooter FPS and there will be still enough players to let it be alive despite some ppl quit.😂
@@spaceman-exp i would hope there will be one closer to my region for me to play the game properly. Although sometimes i wonder how much of the pvp lag is down to their spaghetti code actually..
All I hear from this is. Instead of giving you quality content such as trials and dungeons lets give you these cheap cosmetic items that dont do anything every 3 to 6 months.
Introducing a difficulty slider in Overland Questing would be good for endgame players imo.. I understand that most players dont want ESO to become like a Dark Souls like game . Introducing a slider would serve both Worlds. I dont think Bethesda/ZoS know how to do combat very well. Compare a game like Dragons Dogma to Skyrim which came out around the same time. The combat in DD is light years ahead of any Elder Scrolls game ever.. So all ESO has going for itself in terms of overland content is Lore, which is extremely boring when u kill the main antoganist in a Quest in under 5 seconds. As for PvP, I dont really care about ESO PvP much with its floaty and janky combat. Its like you are hitting thin air. I play other games to scratch my PvP itch..
Good. The combat was never good, and all those ingame ads were really immersion breaking. The faster this dies, the faster Bethesda can try again in the future.
The very sad part of it is that the combat has so much potential to be very dynamic and engaging. And 5 years ago it was definitely a better pvp experienc3 than now.
@@SaltyNaughtySorcerer I have to say that the combat was nothing short of disappointing. The basic melee attacks were wonky, and the specializations were all magic related, essentially turning everyone into a battlemage. Maybe the mage gameplay was good, but I never tried that one.
Gd for you. I have stopped eso plus subscription as well years ago as its just not bang for buck. I used my accumulated crowns to get the chapters that i needed.
I feel its the beginning of the end. I've played since Beta and now I think its time to find a new game.
I feel the same. I'm going to try WoW with my wife this weekend. Many say WoW is in a very good state now.
@@winterhearted6780 I'm not sure if you would like OSRS since it is very different from other MMORPGs but I would recommend giving that a shot as well
I feel like we're all going to go back to WoW 😭 haven't touched that ancient relic since 2011
Come to new world brother
Well, took only 10 years for some people to wake up
My expectations are tempered by the fact that ZOS has yet to deliver a stable PvP experience.
Very justifiably so.

@@SaltyNaughtySorcerer quite likely, and I bet we're not the only ones believing it is this way.

It prob means no new chapter zone. Whether they do new smaller locations like dungeons and trials is anybody's guess.
