  • My buddy somehow buried his F-350 up to the top of his 33's up front, and 4L couldn't get him out. Friends showed up with a Jeep and a winch and couldn't get him out, so I pulled the bus up, and this is what happened! Supreme redneck-ery at its finest!

    3:49 No alcohol abuse, LOL.
    Anyhoo, I used to ride Thomas Internationals of about the same vintage, usually on school trips. They weren’t school buses per se, they belonged to Zinck’s Bus Company, a local charter service. They were painted blue and white with a red stripe and didn’t have flashing roof lights. Most I’ve been on had a manual transmission.

    The 7.3 is a V8 engine and the DTA360 is an inline 6 diesel I assume?

    • @txstreetman
      @txstreetman  8 років тому +1

      Yes. It is International's 5.9L version of the DT466. It is slightly larger in physical size than the 5.9 Cummins due to it being a wet sleeve engine.

    • @NVHSChadSheppard1
      @NVHSChadSheppard1 8 років тому +1

      +txstreetman ah I see, the engine fans on both the DTA360 and the 5.9 cummins are almost the same except the fan blades on the cummins diesel are yellow.

    just bought an 88 s1700 ward (amtran) is there an easy way to straighten the steering wheel? also, know where to find the speedo gear for the at545?

    • @txstreetman
      @txstreetman  8 років тому

      +Michael Yeargin For the steering wheel, pull the horn button off, and there is a c-clip holding the big nut on. Slide the clip off with a needlenose pliars, and I believe the nut is a 7/8" or 15/16". Pull it off and punch the bolt through the steering wheel with a sledge and a punch, or use a steering wheel puller. As for the speedo gear, it is on the driver's side of the tail shaft of the tranny. There is a ratio adapter that screws into it, and the cable is in 2 pieces to the speedo. Good luck!

      Awesome, thanks for the info. The ratio adapter is intact, however the small linkage in the input side was broken. Is this easy to replace and find a replacement?

    why are you pulling out a truck with a school bus

    • @txstreetman
      @txstreetman  5 років тому

      Because a 1/2 Ton 4x4 Chevy chained to a Jeep with a winch on it couldn't pull the truck out. The only other option was my bus, and it made an awesome video.
