    How fantastic to see You both again healthy and in a good mood. I missed so much the comments of new olfactory discoveries! Most of your "youtubers"colleagues are so boring at the moment....(or the problem is myself?)

    So good to see you both back together! Great review again. I have recently tried some of Anka Kus and love Jardin de Topkapi, Ismael Efendi and Jezebel. Great fragrances.

    Re: wormwood: I'm pretty sure both of you are familiar with lovely Anna Zworykina's fragrances. She's the master of wormwood/absinthe and her Cuir de Russie is playing leagues above Memoir Man imho! Great video lads, nice to see you together again instead of Zoom calls.

      Thanks! I must revisit Anna Z. Jo has a few of hers, including CdeR, but I’d love to smell them again. Dan

    Jardin de Topkapi smells exactly like the Garden of Topkapi palace. I have been there.

    Good to see you two side by side again.
    After hearing about Absinthe Minded, I thought of Fou D’ Absinthe by L’ Artisan which is excellent.

    Good to see you guys in the same place again. Have seen quite a few first impressions on these and I can't say that I'm convinced yet, but hope to try them this year

      Thanks Brian. What I will say is that they are very reasonably priced, and have plenty of personality, which I think is a great starting point.

    I've heard Jezebel was the original Fort and Manle's Charlatan before the pair split up. Quite curious to smell that now. I like Charlatan but I wasn't quite sold on the dry down. Maybe this will be better.

      @WaftsfromTheLoft  3 роки тому +2

      Ah, interesting, I can see that. It’s been a while since I smelt Charlatan, but I think Jezebel is a bolder fragrance.

    Los Vientos was my favourite followed by Betwixt and Between. The price of these makes it a no-brainer for me.

    So nice to see you together outside! The only one I've tried is Los Vientos... and I agree with you. Could you recommend another perfume that fulfills its promise: so, green shrubs with woods and dry, swept by the wind (either by the sea or not)? Further: bitter okay, no sweetness, and shouldn't have sandalwood. Anything spring to mind? I really liked hearing about the rest in the line. Thanks!

    Very different experience to what I got from these, interesting to hear your thoughts. Jezebel for me is very similar to Fort & Manle Charlatan, Rose Bandit I found a very sweet modern rose, and the Manhattan one was really flat smelling of nothing much to me. I felt they were a real mixed bag, but interesting and worth sampling for sure.

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft

      Absolutely. Lots of personality. Some I really liked, one I had to wash off! Certainly not dull, which is a great thing.

    Hello my fragrance enablers lol,
    I've yet to smell anything by SP but Juriah sounds like what I've been on a quest for: the perfect rose scent with oud. I've lost count of the samples I've bought that are rose-centric. I splurged on Ensar Oud Sultan Leather Attar and when I tell people that it was £32 for a little vial their jaws drop. I don't have many expensive hobbies but there's nothin better than a beautifully crafted fragrance. I love Areej and Bortnikoff and have tried so many by them. At the moment I have Areej Cuìr de Russie, which reminds me of what fragrances from decades ago would have smelled like. I also have Bortnikoff's. Tabac Dore and Oud Loukoum. Huge lover of tobacco, leather; anything that is animalic. I remember being in school and buying colognes and after shaves but now I can't imagine ever buying another boring, weak mall fragrance. Oh- I love Spell 125 too! Thanks for your in depth reviews. Have a great weekend. Btw, you have impeccable tastes.

    I already own Papillon's Tobacco Rose do you think Rose BAndit is different enough to test and perhaps own for this man in his 40s? I wonder how are projection and sillage and natural smelling factors when comparing two perfumes. Thanks in advance
