I wore Jezebel for the first time today and was very impressed. The strong floral/fruity opening (to my nose) took me for a loop, then the fragrance gradually morphed into it's core essence on my skin. Pure magic! Thank you Marcelo for your personal introduction of Anka Kus and Jezebel!
So nice you actually respond to my (I suspect not only, but mine, too!) comment about mentioning things you don't enjoy (maybe yet?). Last sample set I ordered I found two gems I loved immediately and well, enough to say they're on their way to my house already as full bottles - and now that I think of it I think you'll love them, so here's a recommendation from me to check out:
Parfums d'Empire Salute! - a relatively new composition inspired by I think it was Sicily? There's A LOT of wine wine lees extract. The perfumer mentions it's probably the highest concentration of this ingredient on the market, ever. It smells of a photorealistic wine leaves, vines, and well, wine - to the point the opening smells a touch like a person who had too much prosecco. But maybe for 5 minutes, otherwise a really bizzare, great, and unconventional scent.
Houbigant Figuer Noir - a premiere, 2022 composition. It's full of a really dark fig with lots of fig tree and leaves but - it's very spicy. There's so much of black pepper in the opening it's undoubtedly masculine. Lots of people say it's a summertime perfume but I disagree - too spicy, too woody. Very masculine spring and fall, best fig I've ever tried. And it's been made by Celine Ellena, Jean-Claude's daughter!

I've really been enjoying 'Betwixt and Between' from Anka Kus (acquired during my recent rose kick). The smoke in it is fascinating; not incensey, or tobacco like, it reminds me of a bush fire a long distance to the North when there's wind carrying some of the smoke into Melbourne. Been really impressed with that perfume.
Jezebel's the next one I'd like to sample. The name was enough to pique my interest, and it sounds very interesting indeed.

I did not realise the artwork on the bottle was historical literalism! I hope dealing with the insurance was not too onerous, and rebuilding after the fire went as well as could be hoped 😕
On a (slightly) more serious note, I did mean to send a message via your website. The beautifully made up package with handwritten note and samples, as well as the simple and elegant presentation of the bottle and artwork was appreciated by this customer. My thanks to you and your elves/helpers/minions/whatevers for that.
It's good to know work of this caliber is being produced in Melbourne, and I've enjoyed the perfume a great deal. All the best for 2023!

I used to own this. I swapped it out with a fellow fragrantica member. I absolutely loved the drydown but I couldn't get past the abrasive perfumy slight drunkard's vomit note in the opening. The sample I had never gave me that impression but that was because the sprit applications were miniscule and ended up being the right dosage in order to eschew the vomit note lol. Salutes!

I have to ask what are some good fresh type of fragrances. I don't mind which house as long as they smell good and last a good amount of time. I have 5 fragrances so far and only one of those is a fresh one which Is G.I.T from creed.
My 1 and only Anka Kus fragrance. I didn’t like it at first, it smelled like baby puke. I’m only 2 years into !my fragrance journey and I bought this before I was ready for it. After a year and a half of having it I love it now…

Over ripe fruit has a strange effect. If done right it can be wonderful but after a point it starts to smell a bit rotten.
This looks interesting though and I'll see about a sample from a North American distro.
