    Regarding your transplant scar , If you want ppl to stop mentioning it always , you know you have options as in SMP that will eliminate it by at least 90%. For someone like yourself who is making a rep as a hair loss ambassador, you should really have an open mind when it comes to exploring different, viable options. I think SMP in your case would really make a difference .
    As always, great vids👍

    17 months on finasteride and 7 months on minoxidil for me (you're still on minoxidil, right DJ)? Anyway, I completely agree with you on laying your hair down. When I do that, it looks much denser and almost conceals the diffuse thinning and patchiness of what's on top. It's when I stand it up or put it back that all is revealed and it's not a pretty sight. I'm a white man, but have the same hair as you (wavy/curly).

    I've been on finasteride for over 4 years and on Minox for ~7 years. Used them for receding hairline. My hairline has recessed in spite of the treatments, but very slowly. I can't gauge the exact efficacy of Fin since I never stopped taking it. I occasionally changed the dosage from 1mg to 0.5mg. Regarding side effects, I have NOT experienced any major sexual side effects (e.g. erectile dysfunction or gynecomastia). However, I would say that my libido and genitalia sensitivity and semen volume are all lower than what they were before starting the medication. I am inclined to consider this reduction as a side effect of Fin, but it may be attributed to just getting older, depression, and reduced physical activity. I want to get a transplant and get off Fin, since my baldness is confined to the temples/hairline. So, my main concern is the possibility of more severe side effects after withdrawing from the medication.

    Have you looked into the (very, very convincing) muscle tension theory for the cause of androgenic alopecia and botox being the optimal solution? I'm fully convinced personally. Finasteride works, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't really get to the root cause of hairloss which is chronic tension in the Galea Aponeurotica. Victims of male pattern baldness all suffer from this tension in the Galea scalp muscle without exception and start thinning according to where the tension is the worst which is where the 'pattern' comes from. Balding begins at the corners.

    • @electrikevin
      @electrikevin 3 роки тому

      the root is 5 alpha reductase turning testosterone into DHT babes x

    • @juhadexcelsior
      @juhadexcelsior 3 роки тому

      @@electrikevin that is extremely outdated and not true. DHT triggers growth in other areas of the scalp and body yet acts as a balding agent at the top. Why is that? Castrated men do not continue balding after losing their testicles but their hair never comes back. Why is that? Why does the scalp tissue physically change if androgens is the root cause? The DHT theory fails to answer all of this.
