// ABOUT ME //
Hi, I’m Kitty. (Yep, real name.) I was born and raised in Minnesota and currently live in Minneapolis with my husband, Joel, and our cat, June. Joel and I just got married this past February and a few months before that we bought our first home! It's a fixer upper and we've been working most weekends fixing up the place! Our place is coming along slowly and I love documenting the progress on my UA-cam channel. I'm also a happy vegan and love sharing easy vegan recipes with you guys! If there's a video you'd like me to make leave it in the comments below! Glad you stopped by!
Here are a few videos to watch if you're new here!

Love this! I have a credenza I got at a thrift store for 50 bucks! I stripped 5 layers and painted it maroon. All of the drawers are wicker inlaid and it's got some sweet vintage handles. My mom told me not to get it, after the makeover she tried to buy it from me 😂
That's awesome! Love the idea of maroon!
I'm totally getting the Zoey Descanel vibe! 🤓😉
aileen zafra YES! I thought the same thing!
aileen zafra I was about to put that same thought in the comments but.... you totally beat me to it.
I believe the ship is from Coppercraft. They were a home party company in the 70's/80's. my dad was a ship captain before he retired. I got him one just like it. Enjoyed your video.
Totally random but if you had glasses and dark hair you could be Zoey deschanel's sister!
peekab0obaby haha so true.
They do say everybody has a twin
Michael VR -- Like 1000 what...? Can you complete the thought?
Love the furniture pieces and I would have totally paid $150 for that dresser. The lines are so beautiful and the furniture back then was made so well.
Right?! They just don't make furniture like that anymore, or at least not for $150!
Love those two dresser units they're perfect! Your home has such a cool airy feel to it! Polar opposite of mine but one day I may switch and go for white walls!
Love that ship. I wonder if your grandparents bought it in the late 60's/early 70's. My mom bought a sculpture of seagulls and a pier made from copper and other metals, that your ship reminded me of, in the early 70's--I was a little girl and I LOVED it. She gave it to my uncle decades ago. Traveling as an adult, I learned that it was made by some obscure Mexican artist beloved by many back in the day.
You have great taste in furniture! I love both pieces you showcased. Love the ship piece over your mantel .... Especially because it belonged to your grandparents! ❤️
Seeing your console has inspired me to do the same with a $10 goodwill find! Yay!
I finally found my first curbside freebie! It is a galvanized metal IKEA 4 tier shelf that's still available in stores. I didn't know what it was until I started browsing Pinterest for ideas on styling a galvanized shelf. I love your thrifting videos and hope you decide to share all of your future thrift store finds!
Score!!! Will do!
I love your style so much! I'm from MN too. I live in Saint Paul. You're the first youtuber from MN that I know of. I'm excited to see more!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Can never go wrong with free stuff! And you make everything look perfect! Love it!
High-five for being nosy! Love your videos.
You have the best eye for design. I'm so impressed and now binge-watching all of your videos :)
Thank you so much!
Crazy... I remember my parents having that ship on their wall when we were little. They also had 7 flocks of flying metal birds.., my sister and I would mess with them and face them flying East. Now that I think of it those were pretty cool.
Her eyes are super pretty :)
I am really impressed & envious of your great finds. The ship is my fav. The wall hanging is quirky definitely, but kinda creeps me out. I am always on the hunt and my husband refuses to let me trade our car in for a van or truck because he is afraid we will end up on hoarders, lol. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Omg I have the same exact sort of dresser as well! Same exact hardware and similar lines including the rattan detail. Except I use mine as a buffet and when I purchased it, it was painted on the outside with white so now it's duo colored with white and the original wood! So cool that you have a similar piece! I'm sure they are made by the same company.
I love the prints behind you!
Your console looks so mid century modern! Great side of the road find! My adult children are appalled that I do that!
Love your bathroom...so cute! And the ship is such a treasure.
Too bad you didn't take before picture, nice find (the white piece). Also. just stumbled onto your site. Let's see your kitchen finds, I can never have enough.Love DIY S.
Love the funky wall hanging and your home!
Ouhhh love your console and the pot that's next to it! Ahh love the wall tapestry as well!
Thanks!!
yesyesyes I'm living for thrifted stuff, I so need some more in my life
Your house has a good vibe on video 😍😍😍
Thanks!
Haaaaa...we had that ship when I was little. It was gold.
I like your random bits, I love your little picture, I like what you did... I just like the whole thing. You just fit my bill and what you do. I had a great time, thank you
love your decor. Great finds! I live in a nice area of Atlanta and people throw out the coolest stuff. Half of my decor I have found out by the dumpster at my apartment
Ugh I love that dresser piece such a good find
Love this video! You are my style spirit animal! I am ALWAYS on the lookout for unique, mid century pieces. I am stalking CL right now looking for a set of mid century dinning room chairs, it has been by far the most difficult find yet!
I love ur style because I like the same things, simple minimalist
You did an amazing job with that piece of furniture wow
Great video, love your cat too. Have a blessed weekend.
Love finding thrifted things for the home!
You are refreshingly funny and talented. I am enjoying your vlogs. Really great ideas!
your eyes have me in a trance and i can't stop watching your videos.
Love the ship ! Copper is so warm.
Only 10seconds into the video and already liked and subscribed lol i love her vibe
Love your style 😍 so cool!
I love everything especially the ship and the wall hanging. My most treasured finds are a pair of cream, leatherette mid century modern chairs that I got from offer up about 4 years ago for $30 now I'm seeing all of these reproductions that are triple and quadruple the price. I Also have an awesome 1950's lane Cedar chest that I got from a Salvation Army store about 15 years ago for $40.
To match your white West Allen piece you should paint your coffee table white as well...Will make space lighted and show off dark brown couch and other accent pieces.
Like the clarity of your video.
Love this sharing style video!
Realizing I'm commenting on a video from last year but 1) just found your videos and really enjoy them! and 2) wondering where those large white frames are from (from the end of the video). thanks!
Your taste in home decor is very similar to mine!😚🤗👌 I am crazy about unique pottery... And I am a plant addict!... So planters .. all types are my thing. Bohemian.... Pottery Barn.... Minimalist design is more what I love. So all your finds are amazing!!!!♥️🤓 Your place is very nice. Thanks for the video... Please do more videos like that!💕

Loved your video. I laughed so hard when you said. " I made my Dad help me " Thats what us daughters do, buy any means necessary we go for what we want. Beautiful home.
The 'mug with a spout thing' is called a jug! Nice house, good finds.
You are like me in so many ways, except I like dogs
can you make a video about what its like to live in Minneapolis?
Love the ship!
You're honestly the coolest!
I like the hardware and legs too, on the dresser in the bedroom • nice

bumped into your channel while getting ideas for home decor. I'm really loving your style. love your home as well. just subscribed! =)
Great video, you are absolutely adorable!!!
Today I found a Dale Tiffany art glass bowl at the thrift store for $7.50. Looked it up on eBay. It's going for $120. I'm a very happy girl 😀
Kitty -- I, too, just serendipitously discovered your channel tonight after giving up on watching another thrift with me YTer. You have wonderful taste and style (which this other person did not have---and I simply got sick of seeing the kitschy junk she likes. Made me nutz!).
Love your easy narrative. Your voice has a quality that is pleasant to listen to, as well.
I'm going to subscribe, and I hope you will grace us with even more thrift shop excursions and descriptions of your hauls!
Love your home videos. Can't wait for a tour (?) 😊
Awesome finds :D
Man you’re totally the coolest chic! I’m subbing you for sure! I Loved this video!

That ship ! Wow .
Subscribed solely on your good taste in ship decor.
I sub because your cat name is June lol. Overall I love your finds and what you did with it. That ship from your parents totally ROCK. It's amazingly beautiful TFS.
I LOVED this video! You have so many great pieces and I can't wait to see your upcoming DIYs :)
I always channel my inner Kitty when I see things on the side of the road and in the thrift store! haha

Ah thanks! I'm always telling my husband that, but he's not convinced.
Could you do a video about your gallery walls and all your prints? I'm trying to hang prints but I'm having a hard time finding frames and where to print pictures.
I'm almost finished with mine! Thats a fun video idea!

I'm new to mpls (after living here for 2 years it still feels new!) and was wondering if you have any thrift store or flea market recommendations? Thank you!
I've gotten this question a few times now! I'm thinking a video is in order!
Great video! What are your favorite thrift shops in the Twin Cities? I essentially only go to Goodwill but would love to find some more that I like
This a good idea for a new video! I'll keep ya posted
Brand new to your channel ❤ free roadside finds!!!
Lol...Ratton, pronounced... Ra tan😁
Wow, that drawer thing, is stunning, like some designer thing, incredible, I love thrifting but all my things are so different so it just looks like chaos :(
You might want to try rub and buff on those dresser handles. It’s like $7 on Amazon.
You crack me up! 😁
"Is that God?" 😂😂😂 I've got plenty of weird conversation pieces in my home. They're like secrets until someone asks, hahaha.
Everyone needs a little weird in their lives! lol
Nice mid century find
Thank you!
Haha I'm nosy too that's why I watch these videos.
In 1964, a native american named Helen Cordero created a male figure named 'The Storyteller,' (based on the female 'Singing Mother') from pottery in honor of her grandfather
You are SO adorable!!! I wish I lived near you and we could be friends. 👍🏼
You are everything.....
Love the dresser. It looks 1950's.
Nothing weird with what you have, I loved it all. It's just creative you ! Table by the TV is really nice, great job on that. The tapestry I feel it's Mexican , maybe Mayan.
I think your right about it being a woman she has what looks like to be ovaries too. Very cool tapestry love that too.
Where is the lamp from? I love the white shade on it.
The shade is from Target and the bottom, I think, is from Ikea, which is spray painted brass!
Awesome, thanks for replying!!!
Where did you get that gold circle mirror from? Love it!
Thanks! It's this one from west elm bit.ly/2eqTGOo
They also have a super similar one at Target if you're on a budget!
i would have white washed the legs of the dresser you painted
i do love your style
It's pronounced "ra--Tan" kiddo. Love your stuff!
can you do a video where you sing "baby, it's cold outside"? :)
😊😊😊😊
Hey Kitty! Like your videos and your tapestry and i just wanted to say it looks like its a pregnant lady wearing earings :)
I love the way she explains that weirdly beautiful rug on the wall
Hi Kitty, check out estate sales you'll be amazed at what you can find for your home. Go to estatesales.net and find where they are in your area :)
I cannot believe you found such awesome pieces!! The larger furniture you found are the stuff of dreams. I uploaded a similar video if anyone wants to check it out
The last video , the TV was on the wall
i can't help but be super hungry now :( if any of you fellow plant-based kings and queens are reading, i would be super grateful if you could check out my recent vlogs for similar high quality content such as this! Spread the love x
Did she say Rat-tin? Never heard anyone pronounce it like that! It's 'Ruh-tahn' or 'Ruh-tan', but cute house!
its a PERUVIAN rug
