Was using the 2008 comparison even before the season. The difference is that team was absolute garbage on defense. I think this one is pretty good. But Cook and the offense need to get better after the bye or we'll end up disappointed compared to expectations.
We're fine. I hope the players stick together stay positive and keep working. We're moving the ball just gotta punch it in more. Definitely put an end to the dramatics. Someone makes a mistake go lift them up stop bringing negative energy period it is contagious both ways. Just give 100% be a good teammate the rest will fall into place we've seen it work.
We're going to get better. Main thing is scoring more in the red zone. The negative energy could be what's dragging the team down. Players gotta quit flailing their arms dropping their heads and be more positive. Imagine going back to the huddle with negativity being cold failing before you even snap the ball. Then imagine maybe like bro we were so close we're going to hit that next time I gotta catch that one for you etc. major difference. Or just imagine maybe a spouse being a Debby Downer same thing. It's toxic.
No we’re not fine to many mistakes for a team aiming for the playoffs Missouri looks lost out there sometimes Cook is bad right now and the offensive lineman are not playing together at all the defense keeps giving up big plays
Because of the drama causing everyone to blame each other we aren't playing together. Ultimately Drink should never allow it no matter who it comes from gotta have everyone playing team ball pulling for each other. Too much selfish me first babies holding us back. Don't fix it we'll fall apart. Put an end to it we come together and make our goals. Anytime someone starts pouting get them off the field on the bench til they're ready to be a good teammate.

He secured a 250 mil stadium renovation, already got a new 80mil practice facility, & lobbied the legislature for the best NIL laws in the country. Secured a 59 mil donation last year. Sold out 11 straight games a record, sold out the rest of the season already. Has the longest win streak in cfb & home win streak. #11 ranked. 1st top 10 ranking in 10 years. Highest ranking in 10 years. Hasn't lost a game by more than 10pts in almost 2 years. 17-3 in last 20 games. Who else has done that in 4 years? Who else took over a 6-6 team & turned it into what we have now? Drink is the man until further notice. Drinks great, Cook is fine. We're going to have a great season.

Overmodulated audio, boring video, no interaction with fans. Stupid music. Just a wannabe program riding off of mediocre success. Win the SEC and we'll talk about Drink being "the man". Do you have the 22 view of that fg that was super high? The 4th one? Man it looked good on TV. Even the announcers thought so. He's just like Meevis solid from 55 can't figure out the 25 yarders, lol.
Right where we need to be. Obviously we are going to have to play much better but 11-1 and were a lock and 10-2 we have a good shot. 4-0 is all that matters at this point.
We have a tall, sure-handed tight end, whom we ought to be able to use more in short yardage situations and when close to the goal line. A problem with his under-use under those circumstances, I theorize, is that Norfleet's been rather one-dimensional so far this year: He does not run block much, and that is probably because he does not seem to run block very well. Especially since he was out for the shoulder injury (still bothering him maybe?) he very rarely HITS anyone on run plays, and almost never maintains his blocks when he does - and yes, I'm taking into account that sometimes he's supposed to draw defenders away from the running lane, and not block much, if at all. Watch the last two games: Except on maybe two or three plays, he simply has not been playing very physically tough at all. If Norfleet can improve there, then you can use him more in short yardage and near the end zone - both to catch the ball and to help power a tailback over the line. That would go a LONG way toward addressing the problem.
And I'm not picking on the kid. He's great and any team would love to have him. I just think he'd get used very effectively in short yardage if he were also a meaner blocker. Go out there a week from Saturday and HIT someone Brett! That'd turn you from a good college player into a star with NFL written all over you!
@@dreigivetimpoolmassivewedg7646 I hope that's all it is, such that he'll improve on hitting and maintaining his blocks, especially with this bye week. It would sure make him a super valuable asset in short yardage situations.
Kirby seems to implement some Air Raid principles in his offense. There's a lot of guessing & "playing in space." I agree that in the red zone there's less space so those principles don't work as well. The answer imo is timing routes, run up the middle, run to the outside but not way outside where it takes too long to get there.
I'm no OLine expert either. I've seen those weird mistakes with the guard pulls multiple times. I think Green doesn't have his assignments down yet. Johnson has made a few mistakes as well. I think the OLine will be fine with more reps.

Also we have people crying because we don't look like a championship team which is crazy because just a few years ago we were excited about the armed forces bowl
Depending on what BC and Vandy do with the rest of their seasons respectfully would determine how 10-2 looks for Missouri. I think if they fall flat and go 6-6 or worse each then 10-2 probably doesn’t get you the nod. If they turn out solid seasons then maybe the escapes with both games begins to at least not look as bad.
