Wonderful! If I had to do it over again I would have put 2 of these on either end of my property instead of a single house in the middle! One would be my art studio, the other living quarters. What a beautiful little place. I hope he is busy for years making these, and should be proud of them!
It's a nice house, and I could see myself in one of them, but you can't call that "move in ready". It would need completely wired and plumbing. You would need a heating source, a kitchen sink, complete bathroom and all your appliances. All that would work out to about the cost of the house, depending where you live and who you get to do it.
Beautiful cabin. Only gripe is lack of privacy for the bedrooms.
yea for real. and the open area by the cat walk id turn that in to floor and put a wall in the middle so at least one room would had privacy. also if you had a kid or kids why would you want them to see and hear the parents going at it kinda discusting.
A lot of wasted space up stairs. Where's the sink in the kitchen. 😮

I would remove the bar area, enclose both lofts upstairs, extend the catwalk to the rafters on one side leavin it ope on the other. It needs a lot of work. Insulation
Plumbing. Wiring. Its a good shell to work with, even at this price.
Love this, perfect for a starter or retirement home, weekend home, so many possibilities. It appears to be a hewn log home, which I like equally as well as a traditional log. Wish I could because I surely would.❤

I love this home. I would have my bedroom upstairs with my own personal bathroom. And have the other 2 small rooms downstairs for a walk in pantry and a laundry room slash half bath. If that's possible. I wouldn't have any children living with me. They could come visit and sleep on the sofa in the living room. Under the stairs would be a nice place for tools and vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies mops and brooms and such. That's what I would do if I had this beautiful home.

Considering what homes cost today gonna assume you'd still save $$$ finsing the plumbing and wiring and perhaps adding some walls for privacy. We already have a shed with washer/dryer on our land so this extra rooms could easily be converted into bunk areas. Its a cabin.

I would use the small room at back of kitchen for laundry stack washer dryer full size in cabinet then build the rest out as a walk in closet. That way you only need nightstands in bedroom, maybe small 3 drawer dresser.

The timbers are the insulation
they cut the sink for you for free, you just give them the dimensions silly. And the finished ones you order already have full insulation in the roof and flooring. Log cabins don't use wall insulation, lol

Very true. But depending on how much you chose to do, you could have a very beautiful home for less than a hundred grand. If you had the property of course. Not a whole lot of that happening these days.

A set of narrow French doors over a small balcony at one end of the cabin could be used to allow access for larger items that could be hoisted up to the upper level, in addition to having a small balcony afterward as a permanent benefit. That could be nice if it faced out onto a lake or pond. The cost would not be that much extra.

You need to notice there are no outlets for power nor lights. This thing has not been wired at all. And being solid wood, you can't put outlets in behind the wall they have to run conduits on the outside of the wall,that would look horrible.

Curious what would be the best way to heat and cool it? Set it on a basement and run duct from underneath? How well are they insulated?
I have been told wood is one of the best insulators out there and I would just heat it with a split vac
I would close off the floor openings upstairs by the cat walk so closets can be put in and possibly a bathroom added upstairs

Wow, too cute! Obviously you have to take care of the plumbing, but is there any electrical run at all? A great option for a starter family or an older couple.
They will add both the electrical and the plumbing for you if you wish the models just don’t have it in case you want to buy it like that and you are certified to do it yourself

@@Simon-talks I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT A PLATFORM. THAT IS ANOTHER ISSUE. SOME OF US ARE USED TO 9 OR 10 FT CEILINGS . ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GO BACKWARDS INTO A 8 FT SITUATION. THE BEAMS MAKE IT FEEL EVEN LOWER. SO YES TO ME THEY ARE TOO LOW.

Cool design, but I have to wonder about the construction quality since there seems to be a lot of road noise easily coming through the walls.
The model is within 5 feet of the highway so semi’s are loud most homes are placed further back and so appear much quieter

It is nice don't get me wrong, but if I'm gonna pay $55,000 for a tiny log cabin it better have an already built-in bathroom and a kitchen sink with plumbing already ran. Here in Pennsylvania if you buy one, you will spend about the same price but they have kitchens already setup meaning it includes sink, stove, refrigerator, all plumbing included, central heating/ac, a working bathroom and with a full size tub or you can get a stand up shower. They have everything you need to get started in your new home. But if I ain't getting water hookups, no bathroom setup, no kitchen setup then $55,000 is TOO MUCH
