I'm Thai and have been watching your videos since your quarantine. I've once commented under one of your video about doing the loops in Chiang Mai (either Samoeng loop or Mae Hong Son loop). I'm still stick by what I've said, which is Chiang Mai is better than Southern Thailand. You can find beautiful sea / beaches in many countries. However, in order to find the combination of Switzerland (mountains) + Kyoto, Japan (Zen vibe) + Edinburgh, Scotland (historical, ancient), this type of city is very hard to find. 3rd wave kinda ruins your Thailand trip. If u have a chance to come back in the future, feel free to add Chiang Mai into your bucket list. Have a safe trip to your next destination. I enjoy watching your video so much. ....... P.S. I guess Tanzania Safari is canceled, then.
It was great to finally see you two meet up. I have been following Alina and wondered if the chances of you crossing each other's path would happen. I am sad to see her leave Thailand, as I had been to many of those places she was when tourism was in full swing. To see "her" Thailand was such a contrast to my version, and it just looked so different. It's a race for me to get there as soon as possible.

Of course, being a tourist in Thailand at the moment is coping with the drawbacks of a lot of things being closed, but then Alina's videos (and to some extent; yours, Chris) show that Thailand has become again the pristine paradise it once was. I just can't wait to be there again...
Finally! I’ve been waiting for this collab but initially thought you both will meet up in Phuket. Sad to know Alina is leaving Thailand but I’ll still support her channel. For Chris, hope to see more of Phuket videos soon.
Chris I am just back from Thailand I did the 15 days quarantine in Bangkok. It was better than I expected, I think the Thai people in the hotel realised it is tough so took care of me very well. I came back into Australia and I have to say Thai quarantine is much much better
@@saqueoperez3216 Hi mate back then no you didn't need it but check the Thai embassy web site they are great with information. I know the rules have changed a fair bit in the last couple of weeks. I think if you plan to go to Phuket you DO need the vaccines because they have done away with quarantine there. But no vaccine, no Phuket I am afraid. I hope this helps you

It was good seeing you two together. I was in Albania and Macedonia earlier this year at the same time as Alina. I stayed at some of the hotel's she recommended. You're both doing a great job. I hope one day my channel is as successful as both of yours are . :-)

Chris, thanks for a very informative video. I want to relocate to Thailand so bad I can taste it. Living in California, I know there is a lot of prep work that I will need to go through before making the final leap. OF course, my wife and I need to spend a couple of weeks there to scope out the territory. However, I think my wife and I are dead set on Chaing Mai as our final destination to settle. That said, so much planning here in the states to get ready and then all the visa stuff plus health insurance a real headache, but hopefully, it will be worth it.
It's always fun watching your videos! And - although I'm aware that the missing people is a nightmare for local businesses - I like the look of the empty streets in Bangkok. It's so completely different from everything I remember. Btw, I'm just trying to switch from my Bangkok ASQ to the Phuket Sandbox - arriving on July, 3. So, this is quite an exciting time 😱😅 If you're interested I'm happy to share my experiences in July.
