A director did confirm Ash and Serena would be together. Around the time of their reunion in journeys, this was leaked. We can only hope for some kind of epilogue to Ash's story. He actually grows up, understands his feelings for Serena (which we have seen through XY), marrys her, becomes Pokemon master, unlocks his aura abilities (revealed in mystery of mew), and has a family. We need a proper goodbye to our hero

Ash's final episode is not completed, there's something missing in this episode: Giovanni telling to Matori to study the doomsday project information. Team Rocket's doomsday project builded. Team Rocket tries to steal Ash's Pikachu again. Officer Jenny saving Ash and Pikachu from the Team Rocket. Team Rocket's Doomsday Pod arriving in Pallet Town. Gary's Umbreon saving Ash and Delia from the Team Rocket's Doomsday Pod. Professor Oak sending messages to regions and all of Ash's friends through Pidgey. Ash reuniting all of his old friends (Misty, Brock, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Serena, Bonnie, Clemont, Lana, Kiawe, Lillie, Sophocles, Mallow, Goh and Chloe). Tracey shows to Gary a photo of the Team Rocket's doomsday project. Ash and all of his old friends teams up with Gary and the members of Project Mew to fight against Team Rocket. Members of the Project Mew arrives to Team Rocket's Doomsday Project. Ash, his old friends and Gary goes into the Team Rocket's doomsday project. Team Rocket Grunts surrounding Horace and Lyla. Ash and his Pikachu defeating the Team Rocket Grunts. Team Rocket Grunts surrounding and taking Danika and Quilon to the temporary command center. Ash and Pikachu goes to the Team Rocket's Doomsday Machine. Giovanni capturing Ash and his Pikachu. Team Rocket locked Pikachu in the cage. Ash is locked in the cage by Giovanni ("But, in every game, there are winners and there are losers. And as you know, in this game...losers...gave their Pokémon!"). Giovanni using Pikachu's power to rule the world. Pikachu explodes the cage with his thunderbolt to escape and save Ash from the Team Rocket. Ash tells to Gary that Doomsday Machine is indestructible to all proof of destruction. Ash runs to the Kanto's graveyard and sees his dead father's grave. Gary tells Ash never to give up. Mewtwo appears and mentions to Ash that power energy stones are the only hope to defeat Team Rocket. Ash and Pikachu arrives to the Team Rocket's headquarters. Ash is in Giovanni's office and picks up one of the power energy stones. Serena wants Ash to come with her. Ash and Serena gather the Power Energy Stones. Team Rocket Grunts arrives. Ash and Serena with Pikachu's volt tackle attack defeating all of Team Rocket Grunts. Giovanni and Persian goes into the helicopter for try to escape. Jessie, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet quits and escapes too with rocket jets. Matori escapes from the Doomsday Project's destruction with a small elevator. All Pokémon trainers and Team Rocket Grunts escapes from the Doomsday Project. Gary, Misty, Brock, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Bonnie, Clemont, Lana, Kiawe, Lillie, Sophocles, Mallow, Goh, Chloe, Danika, Quilon, Horace and Lyla escapes from the Doomsday Project and gets into the Project Mew's ship. Ash and Serena defeated Team Rocket. Pokémon Trainers celebrates Team Rocket's defeat. 26 years in the future. Ash and all of his old friends growing up and having their own children. Why didn't the Japanese producers and writers try harder to bring all of Ash's old friends into the final episode? I always say because the final episode isn't complete without all of Ash's friends. The Japanese producers and writers don't want to continue with Ash getting together with all his friends to fight Team Rocket, they don't want to plan Ash and Giovanni's final battle, they just keep ignoring all the plans.

My amourship theory is Arven and Penny. This is hard to prove, because currently I only have games. There is still something, though. For example, when in Area Zero, Arven is flustered and seemingly embarrassed to thank Penny. In the dlc, they are left alone, much as Ash and Serena were, and Penny was panicked, but this may have been the result of Pecharunt. Before she was in a panicked state, there was nothing, she was calm until she saw Pecharunt, which makes me think that the result of this is because Arven was there to comfort and protect her. Even after the dlc, just bringing the two in can result in interesting conversations, such as my first convo with them, (this is gonna sound nerdy sorry) Arven was trying to convince Penny to be more… healthy. When he explained that she could die, Penny once again was nervous. This was obviously because *death*, but it’s fun to theorise that it’s because she wouldn’t be able to do things with Arven anymore.

I know many fans wanted this to happen but I don’t think the writers or Tomiyasu want it to happen. Tomiyasu would have Ash marry Dawn or Chloe since they were the only two of Ash’s companions who actually watched him beat Leon live at the stadium.

I'm a bigger fan of Dawn x Ash but Serena x Ash is so close they almost tie. Dawn has just been there for our boy since they met and travels to cheer for him during every championship. A true friend/ gf figure in my books!

Excellent video ThePokéraf. I do love amourshipping and I do think if amourshipping continued throughout the anime, then the writers and anime staff would have a hard time I believe. I mean, with so fans of lots of the pokegirls, and lots of battles Ash has, they would focus a lot on battling probably for Ash. It is sad that Ash's anime is over though, and I cant even think how difficult it would be for amourshipping or any shipping in the anime to be controlled with fans and the writers.

First of All cheers for the content and the courage for mentioning this subject. We here get another gapping wound that needed much good old closure just like Satoshi-Gekkouga reaching Legendary Status, with your vs Tobias Rematch vid. We got Pokemon for 25 years. It started when we all were little kids and ended when we were all Men and Women. I do appreciate when people do humanize the Pokemon concept, despite fantasy, there are very real lessons to be had. Love is indeed part of life and Ashes and Serenas story has volumes to go on and to be more than plausible (cannon, bruh!). Just another testament to the legend of XYZ. One thing I will die on that Hill for: Our Boy and Our Girl deserve their happy ever after just as much as Satosi-Gekkouga should have been Champs in Kalos.
I owuld really like that you stopped calling this the What If for Pokémon, Raf, because, to me, this will be cannon. And theres no better Gods work than keeping the Pokemon World alive like you do here.

Pokeshippers bash Amourshipping for their own opinions they excuse or play off as actual facts and they bash Amourshippers for being toxic, overrated etc. They claim there’s no supporting evidence that Serena likes Ash and is just following him because she’s obsessed with him (not in a love way more so a stalker way)

I must confess, Ash & Serena's fight was my least favourite moment in the whole of the XY series
(aside from the Kalos League final), I knew it would happen at some point but it was still tough to watch.

But brother, you missed one thing.... In the very 2nd episode of XY, Serena decided to start her journey only after watching Ash on TV rescuing Garchamp in Lumios city.... She even wasn't sure that was the same boy she met before! Though she left her house and went to Professor Sycamore.

My teory:
Ash and his wife must be live somewhere in Japan in Tokyo, they would address each other Papa and mama just like in real life Japan, as a dad mr. Ash would become a mentor for his son/daugther. He shares his experiece to him/her, he would stay at home with his wife. Whreas his son/daugther would set off in his/her new Journey as a new 10 years old kid. Long story short, mr.
