The UNLA saluted 4 presidents starting with Lule, Binaisa, Presidential commision (3) and the elected president of 1980 Dr Obote. The bandits have no evidence to show that the 1980 election was rigged. They only murmur about it in the dark. Election rigging is not contested in the bush (Luwero War) but the court. They failed to go to the court just because they had no evidence and knew they were lying.
All the other presidential candidates of that year i.e Jehoash Mayanja Nkangi, Joseph Kawanga Ssemwogerere and Apollo Milton Obote have gone apart from one ancestor
nothing went wrong. All what was said and is continued to be said are just pure lies. Some of the exiles wanted power by all means. Ssemogerere and Museveni including Nkangi were not political heavy weight. They were lying in order to get power and deny UPC the chance of leading the country once again.
You need more information beyond this less than 20 minutes video. Candidates were killed before the actual voting. The likes of Kiyonga were declared victors in exile.

It was not being articulate that made Museveni to be president. It was Buganda support that gave Museveni power. He first aligned himself with Obote and UPC in Uganda and in Tanzania. After the 1979 war was over, Museveni started aligning himself with the Baganda until he took over power. During the time of taking over power many Baganda military officers and men were murdered by the same friends they were fighting with in Luwero.

If the late President Obote was power hungry he would have come to power the day Amin was removed from power. But because he wanted the mandate to lead Uganda to be decided by the people, he left those greedy Ugandans in the name of Prof. Lule, Binaisa and Museveni to come to Uganda first. They came and started disorganizing the country to suite their interest. The 1978/79 war from Tanzania was fought basically because of Obote being in exile in Tanzania. But because those of Museveni and Paul Ssemmogerere were desperate for power they started spreading lies and rumor about UNLA causing insecurity in Kampala and later that the 1980 election was rigged. Despite all the accusation, they failed to take the mater to any court. Today Museveni is sitting in state house illegally. This is why he left corruption, land grabbing, intimidation, extrajudicial killing and kidnap flourishing in the country without end. He want everybody who joined him commit crime so that they became part of his criminal gang. They will never accuse him anymore or even take him to any court because they have become bird of the same fathers.
