Dude for real this was a nice video to watch, i like the effort that was put into it ! Even if it may not be your goal, with proper titling, thumbnails, and suspenseful editing you'd have an opportunity to grow the channel and possibly the Rayman 2 speedrunning community !
Really interesting as a former runner of the n64 version. Is there any sort of estimate of how much time this technique possibly saves over the course of the any% run?
It is nice people can extract this information from the game code somehow. I was wondering if it would be possible to add own levels to Rayman M (PC) or Rayman 2 and play them in the game
@@redbird_studios What kind of file type will be able to import there? .obj files would be nice, so we could already now create Rayman M Arenas and Race Maps until it is working. Of course adding grappling looms, jump pads, boost pads, spine plants, moving objects will be hard to reverse-engineer from the OpenSpace Engine. But if it works with Rayman M maps to Unity Editor it might work the other way around aswell! Would be nice if we can make the game open those Maps from ingame.
I'm impressed people still find these interesting techniques in a game over 20 tears old!
Hope to see speedruns using this soon
Already happening! Check out aullos for example, he's pretty good with it!

Hello to everybody, when this has 1 million views!
Interesting video - keep it up 👌
That's just so cool.
I use The Roll in Rayman 2, Rayman Arena, Rayman 3 and Even in Warframe.

It's mostly just seconds here and there but I think maybe 20/30 seconds over a whole run? That might be overestimating it though.
@@redbird_studios thanks for the info, very cool discovery
Does it work for all versions of Rayman 2? (Excluding GBC)
From what I have tested It works on N64, PC, Dreamcast, PS2 (probably also on 3DS/iOS) - I doubt it will work on PS1 though but I haven't tested it.

We're working on the possibility to create levels for Rayman 2 (and later on hopefully Rayman M) - it takes a lot of time though!
