- I had to mirror the video otherwise it would have been blocked. Sorry for that.
Quasimodo’s beautiful and powerful Out There from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I love this dark but very beautifull movie with our cute Quasi. This video has the movie and musical versions.

My favorites were the Greek, Drew Sarich´s German and both Swedish versions.
1:11- “sen” here means “dream” in Czech, and the Seine river itself is actually mentioned in the next line, but for anyone who doesn’t know Czech, this is the third multilingual version of “Out There” I’ve seen with either an intentional or inadvertent pun, the other two being Japanese (“sono hi ga _kuru_ nara”) and French (the “tour” wordplay at the end).
BR:
Se der, Rio Sena e além,
Cada manhã que houver,
Quero ser alguém
Que vai aonde bem quer.
O meu dia, se vier, e ele vem.
Um sequer.
EN:
If possible, River Seine and beyond,
Every morning
I want to be someone
Who goes where he wants to go.
My day, if it comes, and it comes.
Even one.
PT:
Fora, quero abraçar
O nascer do dia,
Qual homem comum
Que livre vive fora
Um só dia, um, só um vai me bastar
P'ra viver...
EN:
Outside, I want to embrace
The sunrise,
Like an ordinary man
Who freely lives outside!
One day, one, only one will be enough for me
To live...
The German musical version in 1999 has more power in Draussen (the musical's take on Out There). Just the right power in the song.
Either Thai or Greek is the best
French, of course
European French fits better 'cuz it's more natural fer The Hunchback o' Notre Dame AND Les Miserables (The Miserables in French). Les Miserables came out years after Hunchback as a historical fiction novel in 19th century France. Many versions in Les Miserables keep the native French title as respect to honor the French roots. Many musical versions keep the French title fer Les Miserables, too.
@@truelionofhylia8152bro, not cause of the title, it's because first it take place in France and second we got the best traduction in the world. And yes I'm French
