NOTHING is off limits in South Park! I needed a laugh today - well done men.
They get away with the “un-PC” stuff because they don’t make their jokes out of ignorance or hate, but instead highlight the ignorance that usually fosters actual problematic language. They use that language to make fun of that ignorance instead of coming from an ignorant place themselves. It’s the perfect representation of “context is key” and they always have an overarching message of positive social awareness behind their episodes. It’s the same reason that It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia gets away with their “problematic” language and jokes, because the joke is never on the people that language is directed to, but on the main characters who are dumb and ignorant themselves. It’s all about the context, not the actual words, and both of those shows are genius examples of how to do it right and how to do it in a socially conscious and positive way.
Also, South Park is an equal opportunity offender. They mock everything and everyone.
Randy Marsh (Stans Dad) has actually become one of the best characters over the last seasons. Look at some best of Randy Marsh videos! :)
Haha dude yes. Randy has became one of my favorite characters of all time man. The shit he’s done and said into the show made him a legend. My #1 was butters for the longest time but Randy took that spot after these last few seasons. Lol 😂

The perfect video to smoke a bowl too. I've seen these clips a million times but they are still great, looking forward to more like this.
1) Matt Stone and Trey Parker don't give one ounce of a shit about anyone's feelings. Nor should they.
2) Since South Park is, and has been for years, the number one show on Comedy Central, Paramount doesn't care, either.
3) These scenes, except for the ones from the "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut!" movie, were in fact bleeped on Comedy Central, but the unedited versions are available on their website and I believe also on the Paramount+ streaming service.
4) Last year, Paramount showed how much they don't care about any controversy surrounding this show by signing Matt and Trey to a reported $900million contract to make several more seasons of South Park for CC, several Paramount+ exclusive SP movies(4 of which are already online) and several other projects including more musicals.
5) Trey Parker took a large amount of his share of the contract and bought the famed Casa Bonita restaurant in Denver, CO, which was featured on an episode of SP years ago, and is revamping the business to try and make a huge comeback after it was closed due to the pandemic and the previous owners said they weren't going to reopen. He hired a big name chef from Mexico and has given her free reign to make Casa Bonita into something bigger than it ever was before.
I love that they are just dying of laughter after only 1 minute of the clips lol i miss watching this show though such a great experience

Cesar Julio Romero Jr. (February 15, 1907 - January 1, 1994) was the best joker, I saw him back in the 1960s, he was the first to play the Joker in the classic 1960s TV show Batman.

Two really great ones are the Halloween episode with Korn and the one where Cartman’s mom gets Cesar Milan the Dog Whisperer to help her discipline Eric. I think the title of that one is “Psssst” or something like that. Love you guys 💜

The Halloween episode is awesome! Another great one is the World of Warcraft one, "Make Love, Not Warcraft." Half of the episode is set in the game, so Blizzard worked with them to create those scenes rendered with the game engine. Kids get all fat trying to level up their characters to defeat a hacker, and finally Stan (Kyle's dad) saves the "world" with an all-powerful sword that one of the devs kept on a flash drive in their drawer...hilarious and my favorite.

They “get by with it” simply because EVERYTHING is “it”. When you criticize and satirize life itself it’s difficult to cancel what’s in the news constantly. Nothing is off limits when everyone’s targeted.

I love dark humor the most. It's my favorite thing for shows like South Park and Family Guy to do. The darker the humor, the more I laugh.

These are clips from the show where in the episode the characters had repercussions. The other characters are angry at Randy for the N word. Or Cartman gets Karma for faking torrettes. Matt and Trey are actually showing real issues in the world.
There was an episode where they were allowed to say "shit," and they say it 163 times, but that word unleashes the medieval Knights of Standards and Practices who start slaughtering people. So they can use the word on TV but now the characters can't say it in canon.

When they were on Comedy Central they were bleeped. Now that they're on Paramount+ and HBO they're not bleeped. And yeah, much funnier. They're as timely and hilarious as ever.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone were asked when they would be wrapping up South Park..They said they are going to keep raising the bar until they get pulled off the air. Those two are national treasures, if you never saw, check out when they went to the academy awards dressed in gowns and just blasted on acid..It’s amazing.

the show is "made in time" so often its finished hours before it airs sometimes even closer ... so no one basicly have time to watch it before it airs xD but there are episodes that only aired once (Like the once with mohammad) and not air again xD
The Black Friday three parter with the PS4, Xbox 1 and Game of Thrones theme is one of their masterpieces. I recommend watching all of it.

It wasn't on "T.V." It was on cable tv. Broadcast tv had a lot more restrictions than cable. With cable you were an individual customer. Regular tv was broadcast to the whole public so this show would never have been on it in the first place

The reason South Park won't be canceled is because they slowly got more and more, quote; offensive over time. Not to mention they have proven to be very consistent and will make fun of everyone equally. The show was more tamed in the 90's but it was more controversial back then. If they released that Wheel of Fourtine episode in the beginning they would have gotten canceled back then. Make sense?

Honestly? To me, and a lot of other people, especially the ones who are pro-oppressed people and everything, the biggest difference between South Park and someone like a politician or Kramer from Seinfeld (when he was canceled) or Louis CK or something is the fact that South Park doesn't actually directly target/directly harm those who are already oppressed/marginalized, and a lot of the times, South Park uses it as commentary to show how wrong discrimination and such is as the people on the show will call out those who are discriminating and such, whereas, someone like Kramer or Louis CK will make the "jokes" directly AT the oppressed people/marginalized groups to actively harm them, or politicians will directly harm the oppressed people/marginalized people with their laws and hypocrisy and everything. Also, what is called "cancel culture" is more along the lines of "accountability culture" in which people who actively harm oppressed/marginalized people are called out for their actions and/or words, and are held accountable for those actions and/or words, and they don't like that so they play the victim when that isn't what being held accountable is. I think that's the biggest difference. Great reaction y'all. ♥

South park is still one of the biggest shows on tv, and you only get the cussing on the DVD version, not on tv. The N word episode is from 2007.

Smokey, I also didn't enjoy the Joaquin Phoenix Joker film either. It wasn't horrible, but I didn't think it was very good. And I really like Joaquin Phonix, also. I wanted it to be good, but I just didn't care for it. I found Ledger's performance of Joker 10x better than Phoenix's, and to me it's the pinnacle of that character.
