Best mission in Cold War. This mission genuinely terrified me, especially when I disobeyed Adler and went down the trapdoor and saw the zombies. It felt like I was on a bad trip.
I was doing whatever I wanted just letting adler talk and just stumbled across the door and fell. I was trying to exit the cavern when the zombies blindsided and I shrieked like a girl lol I was on my third or fourth time
Fun Fact: After killing everyone at the start, if you stand around without progressing for a while, Adler will say "We get it Bell, everyone was dead" or "So you did nothing? Were you in shock?"
When i first played this mission at the beginning shen he says you were the sole survivor was the instant i turned around and realized i was alone was the eeriest feeling ive ever felt in my life

i let park die, and the first time i crossed the bridge there was a weird ass version of her that like sped away. drk how to describe it, but it was more scary than the zombie sequence tbh

The only horror I got was the zombies. The creeps I got were: The TV's and wheelchairs The all adler's at section one The repeating L shaped corridor with tape recorders And the arcade game sitting in a dark empty room
Just would like to point out that when you drop through the trap door and into the secret zombie cave, you’re only left with the 1911 pistol. The fact that the only weapon you have on you in that moment is the OG zombies starting weapon is an amazing callback.
I was obeying Adler for the most part then when I was chasing the door down the hallway, i stopped and turned around and entered the red door which ended me up in the lab .Adler said “What the hell is bell doing in a lab?” Then when I continued down the lab hallway I fell through the floor and he redirected me to the bunker. At first I was very suspicious of Adler because Perseus said to not trust him in the beginning of the mission but I trusted my gut.
Still obeyed him. You should have got the calling card for it too. I kept following the path and you eventually fall through the floor. This is after you backtrack because the door disappeared I think. But when the hallway started getting smaller and smaller I was like oh shiiiiiiiiit
This legitimately made me feel immersed, I was scared at some points. The developers had ALOT of creative possibilities with this since this was basically a dream. I also loved Bell’s annoyance.
This mission gave me PT vibes when the hallways kept repeating.. I was genuinely terrified and I didn't even do any of the zombies choices. That would have been too much lmao. Fantastic mission nonetheless.
I was honestly scared of disobeying Adler, mainly for two reasons. One, I felt like if I went down the wrong path, a bear or snake was going to jump out at me. Two, I was afraid of the reaction he would have. (No, seriously, he’s intimidating when he’s angry.)
There is another way to annoy Adler in this mission, actually. On one of the sequences where you are disobeying him by going across the bridge, you can go off the edge and die. Adler will then say: “Sure, Bell. You killed yourself. Then what happened?” When I had that happen, I about died of laughter.
When you get in the bunker the third time afte the says I don’t care if the door was stuck. I think you can walk around in circles where this happens I believe
Welcome "Bell". You just finished/finished watching the story and came here to check all the choices. We expected you. We were here before this video became "viral". Actually, we're 10th comment and 24th like.
Wait are you telling me no one got the option to just keep running through the grey hall way with grey doors and they all shut while running down the hallway, then after a bit the hallway gets smaller and smaller that you have to crouch and you end up running in circles in 4 of the same hallways and then he tells you to turn around and when you do the red door appears when it was never in your vision while passing by the 90 degree angled hallways?
I got that too, but before that I refused the enter the door that appeared at the ruins and took the left path, when the doors came crashing down I kept running and when I reached the bridge I jumped off and Adler sarcastically said “Sure Bell you committed suicide, then what?” I didn’t see that mention in the video either. Also this other scenario where all the enemy soldiers in the beginning where Adler.
I got huge Stanley parable vibes from this and then immediately did everything in my power to ruin the story and not listen to Adler and even got an achievement for it
For people who liked the concept of this mission and haven't heard of game 'The Stanley Parable', would highly recommend you play it. It's exactly the same concept of the narrator guiding you through the game but in a much more comedic setting.
Yeah that's when I started not doing what he said. He said go in the ruin, through the red door, and I yeeted myself to the right, then red doors started falling from the sky. Amazing mission. Fuck.
Do you think this mission was based on a mission Adler actually did in Vietnam? I know he was using the Red Door part as a element to get through to Bell's deep secrets.
Who else was just pissing off addler to the point where red doors were just being placed right in front of you until you go on to the zip line and break the game entirely and end up in a room literally teleporting with the red door.
It honestly felt like I was slowly gaining sentience during the mission. Best thing I can compare it to is realizing you’re dreaming during a lucid dream
I know you might think im capping but here me. on that mission there is a wooden bunker underground and it was a mine with never ending zombies and once you died it had the laugh from nacht
I just want to point out that Adler legit had a scenario with zombies (scenario 17) I don’t know what’s in his cigarettes but that shizz ain’t tobacco…
I like to imagine during the zombie pit that Bell is relaying the story to Adler in a sarcastic voice with his hands on his hips to mock him. While lying on the table, of course.
It's good but the campaign is really small, if you're a campaign only player. If you get it relatively cheap (Russian vpn trick gets it for £27 instead of £49 in the UK) it's worth it
One way to disobey Adler that people don’t realize is to not take the zip line even when “forced” to. There’s a path you can take to get to the bottom without using the zip line at all.
