21:15 I can't believe I didn't pay attention to the fact that not only was the Admiral's building destroyed, but the beam from Olympus Mons went THRU the building and kept going several city blocks.
Overlord: "Meta 0-1 Be advised. I got the French's on the line and they are not very happy about the Eiffel tower." Meta 0-1: "Well that's too f*cking bad."

I never noticed how conservative Treyarch's games are with their moments of mass destruction compared to Infinity Ward's. Ghosts seems to have something blowing up in every mission.
Treyarch games are mostly centered around Special Ops missions that hardly involve global warfare. Mostly just a secret group of Special Soldiers who get the Jobs done behind the scenes. The Warfare games (Including Ghosts, WW2, Vanguard and Aw/Iw) are all games that Involve global warfare. Mw1-3 is the escalation of Global Conflict, with Mw1 showing TF-141 going mostly undercover or hidden to take on the people behind the war planning, then the marines dealing with Middle Eastern enemies, Black hawk Down style. Mw2 starts out that way until America gets framed for a terrorist attack on Russian Civilians, prompting Russia to go full War and bomb America and invade, even to the point of taking over the White House. Mw3 sees the conclusion of the war but still leaving you with the thought of the war not being entirely over yet. Mw2 and Mw3 are essentially Pt. 1 and Pt 2, with Cod4 being the Prequel. A lot of it ties into Ghosts and the Jet Pack games, but we don't see much of TF141 or anybody else, since its at that point just Star Wars style space wars, then Obviously WW2 and Vanguard are set in different Theaters of World War 2, following US Soldiers on D-Day, to Russia being invaded, Britain's part in the war and for the first time if I remember correctly, the Australians part in the war. Then there's the Black Ops games which again are mostly tied to Real Life wars from the Past. Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, and World War 2. The only time the games went towards a futuristic war that involved Global Conflict was in Black Ops 2, then Black Ops 3 was also fictional but almost always in a Simulation, but for the most part, in Black Ops and BOCW, the missions often focus more on special ops units going on missions behind enemy Lines. Yes we are sometimes Involved with real life wars, but that also ties into the story that the games are telling from a Mostly fictional standpoint, kinda like how some movies will say "Based on True Events" at the beginning, eluding to the fact that the movie is somewhat fictional but its based on a Real life case, Like the conjuring movies or Paranormal Activity. The Black Ops games are the same way. Based off true events (Vietnam, Cold War, WW2 etc.) but mostly fictional to tell a story involving a secret team of Special Ops Units, WHICH is why some missions are slower or more stealthy and don't involve lots of Tanks, Helicopters, Airstrikes etc. Its to be kept Off the Record.
It's always these moments that are always the best in C.O.D Games... But some clips that could've been included for Ghosts would've been the last carrier bombardment from All Or Nothing, the ground array missile strike from Severed Ties, And the bridge collapse in The Ghost Killer...
If I know. I know one thing. The people who make the COD games really know how to pull off the most epic moments of video game explosions and destruction ever! 😃
Its the only moment I can recall where you were genuinely in a hopeless situation. No Gun, far away from a Gun, death all around you, and all you could do was run. Vanguard had a lot of Epic Moments in the campaign. I especially love the final mission where you can utilize all 4 of the characters abilities throughout the mission.
Everyone hates on it for being over the top and unbelievable. None of them know just what the sheer power of kinetic energy can do when you have all that mass traveling at high speeds.
@@MikMoenIt was definitely over the top to the point of being silly, especially because the train crashes out of nowhere just for the sake of having a big insane moment. WW2 sucked because it did that too many times and replaying it is a nightmare because of the constant mid-mission cutscenes and "Oh shit!" moments forced into every 5 minutes of gameplay.
Well price launched an EMP and there was ramifications for it as he was put on americas Most wanted and put on a hit list dead or alive bounty by his own country the UK.
God fucking damn, my top 3 favorite scenes hands down have to be, in order from Least to Best 1. The Destruction of the Bridge in Advanced Warfare 2. The Derailment of the German Juggernaut Train in CoD: WW2 3. and my all time favorite is the Chilling fucking scene of the EMP being set off and destroying the ISS. Space as a whole fucking terrifies me, being so high up past our normal atmosphere, I'm already squeamish with heights, but imagine, the last thing you see in the one vessel you're supposed to feel secure in starts getting ripped to shreds because an EMP gets set off hundreds of miles away from you. And the remastering does it justice with the heavy hyperventilating from the astronaut, only for him to never be seen again. Sends a Chill down my Spine every time I play that mission.
Well, recent CODs, specifically the new Modern Warfare games, have followed a single task force in their missions, not exactly an entire army. One mission in MW2 literally has you fighting an army alone with stealth tactics.
Its almost criminal that you didnt include the greatest destruction scene in CoD history! The opening sequence of Ghosts when hell is raining down all around you from the attack satellites.
You know how bad the mw3 2023 campaign when the game dont even have over the top action scenes like the other games. Even the first cod had better campaign
I still forget how much MW3 (2011) had big Hollywood/Michael Bay type destruction. The only destruction scenes I only somehow remember is the church tower falling and the one at Eiffel tower falling.
7:48 If the guy on the comms was caught in the blast, he cut away too quickly; and if it's message was just stopped by the blast's EMP or smth like that, it was still noticeably too early, if they even _knew_ about a nuke's EMP and were thinking about the conventional shockwave having the impact before even reaching the helicopters 😂
This vid right here is quite literally why I absolutely fuckin love cod the destruction is just badass as fuck yeah cod hasn't really been doing good lately but the destruction kinda saves it.
The first scene I always thought that the part of debris that’s on fire falling from the building it always looked like a gun to idk why but it always did
Imagine if this kind of destruction was in battlefield. Yeah bf4 had siege of shanghai with the tower in the middle collapsing but some of the things in cod games are way more intense than that.
17 years later and CoD4's nuke scene is still iconic.
👍
Yes
@icekingcod great work, but in aw the intro mission the ship exploding was big keep up the work
and it still gives me goosebumps every time I play that mission
The Og mw3 was chaotic
Looking back at it now it definitely was
Cannot wait for the remaster, next-gen graphics will be amazing with all the explosions and such beauty.
MW3 & Infinite Warfare had the biggest destruction scenes. Hands down.
👍
On god it was actually like playing in a movie
You seems to confidently be forgetting the scene in Ghosts with the attack satellites raining hell down on half of America.
True @@brenden8794
The train crash in WW2 was big
MW3’s opening cutscene will never not be one of the single most badass moments in gaming
Agreed
Love it when cod campaigns go crazy

I didn't see anything cool in MW2 2021 and MW3 2023
they used to.
ever is a big overstatement. there's games with far more hectic and crazy moments
We cant lie old call of duty is peak i prefer old game than new thanks for memoring all theses scene love you

Infinite Warfare to this day looks hella awesome! Specially those engines!

The train scene in WW2 is f*cking dope !
Michael Bay moment 😏

Ese es mi sueño desde hace años , si remasterizaron los primeros 2 , porqué no terminaron con la trilogía?
Infinite warfare genuinely had one of the best campaigns out there. Very underrated

Imagine if all the destruction was actually just a multiplayer as well. It would feel like a completely different game.

This is something that the new cod games of today don’t have, the amount of destruction that the originals had
Gotta love how these deal with massive acts of terrorism and death and then Vanguard’s over here like “best I can do is a few Stukas and C-47s”

That car took a long time to get over that plane, when in the air 😂

24:35 All we have to do, was follow the damn train CJ.
iconic mission 😏
The bridge in AW, the train in WW 2, the Dam in Ghost an the plane in cold war is so good
Iron Lady is my absolute favorite mission in MW3
10:34 the Boeing experience
When ever I played collapse in AW that moment where the dude gets hit with the bus at 6:01 I always found hilarious
Destruction of Atlas in Ghosts always gives me chills
5:55 that soldier ate shit😂😂
the one mission you left out that had the most destruction was exodus in cod ghosts extinction.

OG MW3 was by far the most destructive COD

Really hope we get that nuke scene in the remastered COD4. And hope it’s not another disappointment
One honorable mention I have would be the railroad bridge sabotage from United Offensive.
